I called this place on a weekday -- mid-morning -- and asked the owner "Can you do miracles?" The thing is, my wife needed a pick-me-up after several weeks of working her tail off at her job and taking care of her family. I told the florist that the bouquet was her choice and to please brighten my wife's week. (I did mention that I don't care for baby's breath or status.) Mission accomplished. Beautiful bouquet. I called (Chele) one day and told her I wanted a 'just because' bouquet with some fun colors, and perhaps some yellow roses mixed in. She responded that she wasn't totally pleased with the yellows at the moment, but that the peach-colored roses looked outstanding. At that point I said "You're the expert; please just make me look good." And did she ever. Never mind that I called an hour later and asked to delay the delivery until a day later. And never mind that half of the streets were under water on delivery day. Blushing Blooms took great care in arranging a beautiful bouquet of just-cut flowers and buds, and brought it to the front door with a smile. I think I've found my forever florist.

Sarah's Sweets and Flower Shoppe has a vast variety of baked goods and treats; cake, cookies, cupcakes, truffles, rice crispy treats, giant pretzels, dipped pretzel sticks, cupcakes, dipped marshmallow treats, brownies and yes, they have homemade Dubai chocolate. What's in the display cases are whatever is available during the day. They do not serve pie or tarts, though. No coffee either. Prices for their menu items are decent. They don't carve cakes, but you can still have them customized. I heard Sarah's prepares great flower bouquets and candy baskets. This is NOT a cafe, so the only savory item they have is grilled cheese, with choice of chips or soda. Sarah's Sweets is not a dine-in bakery. This is to-go and pickup only. They sell stuffed animals and character toys too. Minor notes: Their location is difficult to find. They are located in a small strip, next to a busy highway. The owner's English wasn't very good, so she ended up giving me some of the wrong cookies. I didn't know that until I arrived home, because she goes to the back and packs them out of prying eyes.
