Wiener schnitzel and Bratwurst with spaetzel
    Christie R.

This is CERTAINLY authentic. If you are american and looking to ease into German food, try the Wiener schnitzel or the Brat! DELICIOUS. Anyone who rates otherwise just doesn't like German food because this is fantastic. Excited to come back and chat with Oma again. My boyfriend speaks a bit of German from school and had the opportunity to chat. Thanks for the great service, kindness, and delicious food. We believe it is worth every dollar we spent and it is surely reasonable for the food quality. Felt like a meal at Grandma's house for sure.

Easter special rack of lamb with fingerling potatoes and broccoli. Service was attentive as always. And restaurant was wonderful atmosphere

The place is a little small for the amount of business it does. You always seem to be running into someone. You can watch the pretzels being hand-rolled behind the glass, and the donuts hanging in the background while the glaze sets. I truly wanted one of everything. They don't offer a huge variety, but I'm perfectly fine with a place that focuses on doing a few things exceptionally well, and "well" doesn't even begin to cover it. It was busy (always a good sign), so everything was incredibly fresh. We ordered a pretzel, vanilla glazed donut, chocolate glazed donut, honey bun latte, and a strawberry lemonade. We grabbed a table after the manager let us know it would be about 10-15 minutes, but it definitely didn't take that long. The pretzel was warm, fluffy, and perfectly buttered with just the right touch of salt. The cheese dipping sauce was cold-it would have been nice if it were warmed slightly. The "honey" mustard came in a prepackaged pod and wasn't actually honey-based, which felt like a missed opportunity, especially given all the delicious local honey and mustard options in the area. The honey bun latte was delicious!!! Flavorful without being overly sweet. The strawberry lemonade was on the sweeter side but still refreshing and I can imagine it being perfect for a hot day. I added a little water since I can't handle too much sugar at once, and it was just right. And the vanilla glazed donut? It was like biting into a warm, fluffy cloud!! Pure comfort in donut form. My only regret is not stopping in sooner so I'd have more days to come back again and again.

My wife and I was were welcomed in by the hostess and seated quickly. It's not a huge space, but they've got a good bit of seating, and a little more upstairs, which allows you to look down into the brewery. Our server, Alex was very friendly and offered some beer recommendations based on our preference. They had a good variety to pick from and even some canned to go. Their food menu also offered a good selection. My wife and I decided to share an order of loaded fries to start, and then the "white buffalo" pizza. I enjoy white pizza, and enjoy buffalo chicken pizza...but this was the first time I've ever seen them together. The food was great, everything, tasted really good, and had good flavors. The Game Day IPA and Lost Province IPA's were both also very tasty Being a Friday night, they had a live musician, playing great music, which we really enjoyed while we ate and took in the atmosphere. I'd pass this recommendation on as well, and would return to try some of their other varried menu next time I visit Boone

We found parking on a side street near Blowing Rock Brewing, so decided to enjoy a drink and get some lunch. We were seated quickly, near a heater, which was nice to help us warm up after being on the mountain. A waiter came by with menus to take our order. We asked for some suggestions, but he was a little less than enthused to offer advise. They had a good variety of beers, so my wife and I each got one, and shared them. We got the Pina Colada Kolsch and the Cloud Rise Hazy Ipa. Both were tasty, the Pina Colada Kolsch had a much stronger pineapple flavor than I expected, but in a good way. For food we started with the white cheddar poblano, which I expected to be more of a liquid queso for some reason. It was instead for of a soft, spread, which was really good, and paired well with the chips. And then we split the Turkey Reuben, which I figured would be made with deli meat, instead, it was warm, cooked chunks of turkey, really great flavor, and hit the spot for us. The sides with the sandwiches were a bit lacking, only offering hot chips, and green beans....I've never gotten the whole hot chip craze, but green beans just seamed like too odd of a side option for a sandwich It was a good visit, and a good meal, to get us back on our feet. Overall, a nice space, with bar seating, a back room, a back and front patio, plenty of space to hang out, relax and enjoy their beer. Food and drink were both good and worth a visit if you're in the area.
