Knowing the local real estate market, she gave us a range of prices to expect and approximate time to complete the sale. Both estimates turned out to be accurate. After viewing the property, Pam told us what inspections and repairs were necessary, reputable contractors who could perform the work, and approximate cost. All inspections and repairs were performed without a hitch. Pam marketed the property aggressively and kept us informed of progress. She was prompt and cheerful in returning phone calls and answering our real estate questions. At no time were we anxious that the property might not sell for a reasonable price or within a reasonable amount of time. When an acceptable, contingent offer came in, Pam advised us how to respond. It became clear that she had been through this process many times before. Her advice was right on the money: the Buyers accepted our counteroffer and we proceeded with the sale. Overall, Pam's efforts exceeded our expectations. We were pleasantly surprised that we received a good price for our home and that the sale process happened relatively quickly. If I could give 0 STARS I WOULD! Let me start by saying Lucy, I have never met someone in the real estate business who could be more unprofessional. I went to ask about a property, came in, put the $20 required deposit to take the key and check the place out. I returned, took a rental app and came back at a later time. Before going back to turn the application in, I called Lucy to let her know I was on my way to drop it off. She says, okay, but I'll only be there until 3:30pm so if I come in later, just to give it to someone else. Well on my way there, I ran into a traffic problem so I missed her, but that was okay, so I dealt with a different person, who briefly reviewed my app. He looks at what property I was applying for and immediately tells me that the property had already been rented the day prior. WHAT?! I just talked to Lucy about 45 minutes ago, how can that be? Why didn't she mention that? Why did she allow me to come to the office? I was so frustrated, I asked for my app back quickly. I kept my cool and left. I can't blame the entire office, however, the two other people who were in the office that were aware of the situation, did not even care to apologize for their employees' mistake. COMPLETELY UNPROFESSIONAL! I just hope no future prospect/tenant goes through this. I didn't even receive a call back from Lucy. It has been 2 weeks already! My message for Lucy, If you can not fulfill your duties as a real estate agent, I would quit now. You are unprofessional and unfortunately you will go nowhere with that type of work ethic. Customer retention is vital for a real estate company and I can tell you now, I will never be a customer in your establishment. I know mistakes happen, but you haven't tried correcting your mistake. Absolutely a 5-star experience; Berta Tovar is the best! My wife and I were shopping for our first home, which itself is a very stressful experience. Berta took the time to explain everything to us in detail, and answered every question we had along the way. We had financing through our home bank prior to shopping, however when we decided we would like to look around, Berta was able to recommend a loan agent that got us a better rate, and moved very quickly so we ensured we didn't lose the offer we put in. I have been a landord and a tenant multiple times over the years and I have never encountered such rude people! DO NOT HIRE THEM TO MANAGE YOUR PROPERTY!!! Bob Marshall has no communication skills whatsoever! He is rude, condescending and dismissive at best. He and Berta are incapable of giving complete answers to any questions and summarily choose to ignore most concerns hoping you will just go away. When I chose to pursue resolution to my satisfaction, not theirs, they proved to be incapable of correcting problems adequately. I was then basically told they "would understand" if I chose to move my business elsewhere. If they were my employees, they would both be fired! TOTALLY INCOMPETENT!! I rented an apartment five years ago from Marshall realty who was representing the owners. Berta Tovar the manager was so very rude when it came to contacting me about repairs and a change in tenancy in my lease. It took calling daily over a week and a half to get her on the phone. When it came time to move out I set up a pre inspection move out where I was supposed to be provided a list of deductions from my security deposit. This is state law and meant so I'd have an opportunity to correct the issues and save money. They never provided the list. I received only part of my security deposit with charges that seemed made up. It took threatening to sue in small claims to regain my deposit! Then it took them three weeks to mail my money! Never ever do business with these scandalous crooks! Be warned!!! I wish I could give -1 star read more

I don't know how this place stays in business with how bad their customer service and business practices are. We were looking to rent a 3-bedroom duplex that had been listed through Marshall Realty. They showed us the duplex, meanwhile telling us the whole time that the rent would be $3295 a month. We decide we want it, and pay $40 dollars to put an application in. We tell them that we need to have something in writing fairly quickly because we have to put in a 30-day notice to our current apartment complex before our lease expires. 4 days go by without hearing anything, and then Joey Olivia finally calls The first thing he tells us is that the rent is actually 600 dollars more than than what we were told. So they basically scammed us into putting an application in. At this point, since we don't have much time left to do anything else, we decide to move forward anyways. He says our background and credit checks all looked good, and they were just waiting to get a confirmation from the owners. Then he tells us that the duplex is basically ours, this is nothing but a formality, and that he will call us first thing in the morning to let us know. Next day rolls around, and we haven't heard anything. We send Joey several emails and get no response. We leave phone messages and get no call back. When he finally picks up his phone, he says that he'll let us know by the end of the day. Again we hear nothing and we have to track him down the next day. This goes on for several days as he basically tells us to shut up and wait, and that we have nothing to worry about. It's been over a week at this point. Again we have to call over and over because Joey never responds to emails or messages. When we finally reach him, he says we were denied by the owners because of a bankruptcy that happened 10 years ago. The bankruptcy had already been wiped from the credit check, and we only included it on the application for the sake of transparency. If this was a problem, why did it take DAYS to let us know, and why would you tell us everything was fine? So now we're basically screwed and have no time to find anything else because Marshall Realty wasted so much of our time and basically scammed us into putting in an application in the first place. Wow! I cannot say enough good things about OMarshall, where to start?! I first came across OMarshall when attending an open house in the South Bay with my wife. We were interested in buying our first home and had a price range in mind but did not know where to start. I think we all know how frustrating it is to find housing in Silicon Valley, right? Well, Marshall Realty doesn't make it any easier. I found an ad on Craigslist for an affordable home ($2500) for rent in Daly City and my husband called and spoke with Lucy about a half-hour after it had been posted. He explained that we don't live in the area but would be driving the 2+ hours to see it because we were extremely interested. She asked us to be at the office at 9am sharp the next morning so we could go view it. Well, we woke up bright and early and got there a little after 9. When we walked in, Lucy said "Ohhh I have bad news. The owner got a good applicant last night and is no longer doing viewings. But, there's a place in San Bruno for $4000!" Why on earth wouldn't she have had the decency to CALL US ahead of time? She knew we were driving from out of town. Even if she had just found that information out when she got into the office, the first thing she should have done is call my husband and told us not to come in. It would have saved us a little bit of time, energy, and a super awkward interaction... not to mention it would have been the polite and professional thing to do. Also, why would I want to look at a place in a different city that is almost TWICE as expensive as the one I wanted to view? If we could afford $4000, our hunt for a place would have ended a while ago. Lastly, I don't know how the place was possibly viewed, applied for, and already in the process of being rented to someone between 4pm-closing the night before. If there was potential of other viewers seeing the place before us, Lucy should have told us that or offered us to view it the night before as well so we had a fighting chance. While I realize Lucy is not the owner and probably had little control over what happened with the rental, I found it completely unprofessional for her not to reach out to us immediately. She didn't seem particularly apologetic and the whole experience just left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

I was only there 3 years and the place was already so old and run down. They never responded when calling to fix things that needed it. One of my neighbors called them "the slum lords".
