We were in a last minute panick with rain in the forecast for our Bon Voyage party for our daughter. Omar the Tent Man came to the rescue! With only three days notice they were able to get our tent to us the day before our all day event! The employees were professional and courteous... just a great group to deal with! Outstanding!. It's just great to work with a business owner that really cares about the customer. Matt made the process of renting for a small family gathering as easy as can be. In response to an inquiry, he sent a product and cost list. I identified what we needed and coordinated a pickup date. Everything was put aside and ready for us to load into the truck upon arrival. Matt insisted on helping load the truck. A very pleasant interaction. When we got home and set everything up the tables and chairs were of good quality and very presentable for our guests. This place is the WORST! Matt confirmed that he could do my daughter's baby shower the weekend of Aug 28th several weeks ago. I responded with several emails and left numerous phone messages to confirm the details as we got closer to my event date, asking if he needed a deposit.....CRICKETS....GHOSTED...he doesn't respond to emails, you will only ever get his voicemail and he never returns calls. He won't take a deposit, so he can get away with exactly this kind of unbusinesslike behavior. Now, the Monday before my daughter's baby shower, he finally emailed me that he is "totally sold out" for the weekend of the 28th. How hard is it to pick up the phone and return a call when someone leaves you several messages trying to confirm a very special event? After scrambling on such short notice, I luckily found a more reliable and reputable company to handle my event ...and BONUS....for less money than he was charging! They will be getting all our future business and recommendations going forward. Word travels fast.... I wonder how people who read this YELP review will react! This business is so poorly ran by the owner, called about a tent and information and I couldn't understand anything he was saying. He came to my house for an estimate and reeked like booze(it was only 10 in the morning) he told me the tent I wanted woul fit no problem without measuring it. The guys came here to set it up and it damaged my gutters and house because it didn't not fit because he didn't even care to put a tape measure down. He refused to help me fix the damage done and the price was a significant amount more than last year. When asking about the price differential he said because of the virus. This man inflated his prices because of a pandemic, when I tried to have a conversation with him he was rude and drunk, his employees were super nice and tried to help in anyway they could but the owner was rude and disrespectful. An owner that inflates his price because of a pandemic should be ashamed of him self. If you are thinking about renting from this man be very cautious when dealing with Matt and Omar the tent man. I will Recommend Richards rentals over Omar the tent man every time. They were helpful, they did not double the prices due to the pandemic and they helped assist with the damage done by Matt and Omar the tent man. Was a long time customer but will no longer being using Omar the tent. Would you want the owner to be drunk putting up big tents that if not properly handled ruins your deck, gutters and railings and flower pots on a top of the line deck. And the price gauging he should be ashamed of him Self. Hopefully he gets the help He needs because Omar the tent man was a reliable great business under the old boss. I have been a customer of Omar the Tent Man for many years. They always go above and beyond for you and really take your opinion into consideration. The equipment is of great quality and really impresses guest. Most recently I had Omar set up several tents along with tables and chairs for 120 people. The young men who came and set everything up were exceptional. Ryan, went out of his way to adjust the tent to my preference and made sure everything was perfect before they left. Bob at Omar the Tent Man was so helpful and informative. I was not sure what size tent I would need for the party I was hosting and he was so patient and did not try to rent me a tent larger than what I needed. I had spoken with another tent company previously and was very disappointed with the attitude of the person on the phone. The day that Omars guys came to set up, they were wonderful!
