Prov that these folks deserve a YELP review. Dr. Meyers himself is an amazingly caring concerned physician that I think he is an anomaly in this age of insurance controlled business models. The group as a whole is very attentive and flexible with a common sense approach to health care. The nurse practitioners are readily available and the group even has a walk in open 7 days a week.

More than 10 years ago, I retired as a Director of Product Development for a polymer company and…read moreone of my neighbors, who used to volunteer as a provider for the RI Free Clinic, asked me if I would be interested in volunteering as an interpreter for the Free Clinic since I spoke Spanish. My background as a Chemical Engineer made it easy to interpret Chemistry and Biology terms during the patient's visits. That was over 8 years ago and during all that time, I have not only served as a Spanish interpreter, but also as an Eligibility Screener. I have enjoyed working at the Clinic because all the people involved have a great heart and everyone at the Clinic has the same goal, to help the underserved and the underprivileged in Rhode Island. I remember interpreting for a female Social Work patient years back, that felt so comfortable with me that she asked the therapist to set up her appointments whenever I was volunteering. During those sessions, she opened up tremendously about her life struggles and the Social Work sessions ended up helping her to cope with her past and to help her face a more certain future. I have also interpreted for patients that started with AIC values in the 14-15 range and that have improved their diabetes and sugar levels by proper diet, nutrition, exercise and medicine. The improvement of health statistics is very common at the Free Clinic due to the care of our providers, nurses and specialists. I am very proud to be part of such an amazing non profit that does so much for the underpriviledged in Rhode Island.

First of all, there's free parking in a fenced and secure lot right next to the entrance. I asked the main lobby person for the office and he pointed me in the right direction (suite 215). I only waited like 5 min and I was greeted by my Audiologist (L Gafen) and she was very patient and explained everything very carefully and thoroughly. I was very happy with this experience. The audiologist did change but Liora is such a sweetie and she's so professional and helpful. Any issues I had with my hearing aids she figured it out quickly so I didn't have to send them in. She understands what I'm going through and I can tell she with her whole heart cares about her patients. I also needed a work note for accommodations she wrote it within 30 minutes when I told her it literally wasn't a rush- and it was such a well written letter. I love this practice so much!

They have a nice size parking lot so that's not an issue it can get busy but there's also a hidden lot to the left. The place is always clean. The receptionists in the front are nice , and friendly. And they move the line fast! The seating area is nice and comfortable no terrible chairs. It's very quiet and private. The assistants that work for the doctors are always so happy and caring , and they make sure to let you know all details , and answer any questions you may have. When being brought to the room it's also nice and quiet and comfortable , you can bring someone with you as well it isn't an issue. ( I don't like going to appointments alone ). They also have translators and they do an amazing job with your beloved family member , they will never be left in the dark. The doctors are even better, they care , they want to get you better and they want to do everything they can. Dr Okpara is Amazing I love her ! She has a done a few procedures on me and she knows I'm terrified to be put to sleep and she holds my hand and calms me down and is great, like I'm so thankful for her. This place is just beyond great! If you need a G.I doctor come here. You won't regret it , and you will never want to be seen by anyone else.
