I was pleasantly surprised at the level of expertise of the instructors. I had zero expectations of…read morethe yoga classes, because it looked like a fitness place; not a yoga studio. I was just going to try one class because of the infared heat. but it was so amazing, I bought an unlimited pass. The infared heat is soothing and really helps me stretch much deeper than ever before in 20 years of classes! I look so forward to it and notice right away the difference when its turned on. I hope i never have to do yoga without it :))) I have been blown away many times here, by different young women that have pretty much 'choreographed' amazing sequences of postures or exercises for each of the different classes they teach. Interestingly, some also teach at other Oxygen locations, and also found the time to compose incredibly dynamic classes for us. It's really commendable! I hope Amarjeet (the sweet & attentive owner) will persuade them to teach at West Van location even more! I found almost every class great. There is only one 'yoga' instructor who's class I wont attend or recommend. That's pretty good odds! It would be great if they had Pilates Fusion scheduled every day as I fell in love with it!! Love this place!

I am very thankful to have met Quentin. He was originally teaching at a small boutique Yoga studio…read morewhich closed down. Because I am new to yoga, I wanted to continue with the momentum I had gained at the beloved Robson Yoga Studio. Thankfully, Quentin kept in touch with some of his students. I am so glad that he is now delving into the private yoga sector. He hits all the main points I was looking for as a beginner: 1. Non-pretentious studio: my main focus for yoga was bringing it back to its roots. I have never liked large chain yoga studios. It loses the true focus. Because it is private now, he will come to you. Home, work, outdoors! 2. Budget friendly: if I can fit yoga into my life even twice a week, for the price of 30 dollars per session...I'm in. He is offering 6 private sessions for 180 dollars at this time. So worth it. 3. Take his time to understand your body/needs: We took 4/6 sessions working on my needs, previous fractures, and strengths. He typed out a flow sequence specifically for me and we practice it every session. 4. Flexibility in instruction: there are weeks when I am overwhelmed. We slow the pace, and even add 15-20 minutes of meditation. He never rushes you...even if he goes over time. Most of my sessions have been 1:15-1:30 minutes. 5. Honesty: he is very honest about his take on yoga, life and teachings. I appreciate his level of confidence and transparency. 6. He is constantly making sure you're comfortable, and working towards perfecting alignment. There is no way any studio would give you this level of correction and patience. Check this wonderful yoga teacher out. You will not be disappointed. Hooray for a well meaning, down to earth teacher.

Immediately, Lori's supportive and non-judgemental presence put me at ease and I knew I had made the right decision to start Yoga Therapy with Lori. Lori has helped me to believe in myself and move into a new relationship with yoga. In the private sessions, it has been a joy to go at my own pace and to learn new things about my breathing, posture and alignment. In the initial session, Lori drew upon her wealth of knowledge and experience to create a unique daily yoga practice that suited my schedule, my abilities and my needs. My reaction to these classes in a single word? Transformation…read more I've participated in both the breathing & meditation and yoga classes at Grace Yoga. A lifelong athlete, I have never noticed such an immediate impact on my life as I did with the breathing & meditation class. After just one class, I slept better than ever before, transforming from a person who hates mornings (literally 90 - 120 minutes of hitting the snooze button every single day) to a person that wakes gently, 30 minutes before my alarm feeling refreshed and ready for the day. I have been better ready to conquer my day, more productive, calmer, and generally happier. After success with the meditation experience, I gave the yoga a shot. I've tried a number of different centers (duh, I'm a Vancouverite) in the past and usually left feeling like I didn't understand everything or wasn't sure if I was doing it right. The teaching style at Grace Yoga is inclusive, gentle, and welcoming. You were safe to voice questions and the instructor, Kim, was always happy to assist. Grace Yoga & Meditation is one of the warmest environments I've ever experienced. I look forward to continuing and further developing my practice with Kim as she assists me on my path to understanding my body and mind. I can't wait to see more positive results! Highly recommend for anyone looking to learn and practice yoga or meditation in a more holistic, welcoming environment than mainstream centers.

My instructor, Haley, this evening was communicative, calming, reassuring, and provided assistance if asked. Not sure how 5PM would look, as I imagine the parking lot is quite full. The whole registering and checking in was a breeze and the walk through of the place was helpful.
