The executive director / business owner has regularly and openly engaged in romantic and sexual relationships with employees and volunteers under his charge, students under his tutelage, and yoga practitioners seeking his services. The executive director / business owner disavows wrongdoing, but has taken steps to isolate and ostracize young women coming forward to ask for support from the community that they have helped create. The biggest insult is that the organization sells itself as community-based and community-run, and teaches a more traditional approach to yoga that includes codes of ethics and moral conduct that yoga teachers strive to emulate. Unfortunately, the executive director / business owner does not practice much of what he preaches.

Very easy to get there from Vancouver by public transit, bright clean studio space, and warm welcoming smiles. I was impressed with the overall choreography and how the warm-ups and exercises connected to the routines. Jen's passion to her craft, enthusiasm and dedication to her students was inspiring. While I did have challenges learning the choreography by the end I felt confident, coordinated (haha) and proud of my accomplishments. Bring on some more!

Ash greeted us at the front desk. She was so personable and very friendly. She introduced us to avidly, our fit and smiling instructor for the class, Booty Luv. There was time to stretch before and after class. I highly recommend Tight Club! It's a great workout and an incredible community vibe!

I only wish that it wasn't always so fully packed with people. It can be quite difficult to do certain poses with so many people being inches away from you. The instructors are also friendly, non-judgmental, and quick to provide support whenever I needed help. One last thing I would mention is that hot yoga isn't for everyone. I personally prefer regular flow yoga because I sometimes find the hot temperature to be too much for me. From my understanding, they do not offer regular flow yoga classes here. Other than that, I would highly recommend Oxygen Yoga & Fitness to anyone seeking to begin practicing or continue practicing yoga!

I've been to another studio where the smell is much more tolerable. There had been times in the middle of my practice that I wanted to gag. The studio is one large carpeted room. You are pretty far away from the mirror at the back of the room. There is a water fixture in the room, so it's very soothing listening to the sound of flowing water during Savasana. The changing room is fairly large with lots of storage cubbies, but only 3 showers. Of the teachers I've had, the following had been pretty memorable: Mark: goes through the poses super fast. Not recommended for beginners. Jamie: patient; soothing voice. Perfect for a more gentle workout. Sunshine: spunky lady who was very helpful in correcting my poses and pushed my practice to the limit. Got a great workout!
