First time going based on a recommendation from friends. Didn't know what to think at first, small restaurant, order at the counter and then go sit. You have to buy water, didn't like that at all. Service was average as you don't have a lot of interaction with the employees. Now the food. The food was excellent!! OM Delivers!!! This restaurant is on point. I ordered GrubHub via Yelp and the food arrived hot. The rice was perfect. The butter chicken and curried lamb were so tender. I have never had butter chicken before and I'm happy I went with OM for my first because something tells me that not everyone can achieve that level of robust taste and tenderness level. The Naan (garlic) was also as other reviewers have shared - delicious. I don't have a bad thing to say about my delivery experience with OM. Writing this review has actually given me a taste for their food, yet again. If you are new to Indian food or wanting to try it out for the first time, go with OM. If you love Indian Cuisine and are looking for a place that makes it well and is clean, go with OM. My wife has gotten lunch here a few times. And, we just picked up dinner the other night. The lunch meals I guess have naan included, but the dinner meals are more and don't include naan? We got the ginger chicken, which was good! Spicy level 4 had just enough kick but not enough to make your mouth burn. Reason for the 4 star is I feel it's a bit overpriced especially for not including naan in the dinner prices. read more

I've had a couple great experiences with OM, both dine-in and take-out. Delicious food, quick service, and the dishes that can be prepared vegan are marked on the menu. Great Indian food that's local! It's me and my husband's favorite Indian restaurant now. They offer great food with generous portions. The naan that comes with each entree is amazing. Regular naan, garlic naan, cheese naan, chicken stuffed naan. You name it, they have all of them. The menu is very concise and clear with options for meat lovers and vegetarians/vegan. We had chicken jalfrezi (chicken with green peppers, tomatoes and onions), channa masala (chickpeas w/ onions, garlic and spices), and saag choley (chickpeas & spinach in cream sauce). Everything we've tried so far taste way beyond expectations. They also have lunch specials for only $7.99/person. You can get a full size entree with a naan and rice. This place looks very nice, clean and welcoming. The staff is very friendly as well. Delicious, nutritious and good for you. First visit, will definitely not be my last. I had the Lamb Korma. It was perfect, super tender Lamb with a wonderful accompanying korma sauce. Service was fast and priced right. I ate all I could and still took home more than I ate. Love the leftovers!! The restaurant is not large, I estimate it would seat 40 or so. Which is enough unless they get a good run at lunch and dinner. If you are an Indian food fan I highly suggest you give this place a try read more

Nice little place. I haven't tried many dishes, just the chicken tikka masala, but it's amazing every time I get it. I get it at a medium spice level, and the portion is good for the price. Half for dinner, half for lunch the next day. I will definitely venture out and try different things soon. It would be even better if the dining room was open for family outings though read more

I can't believe how good OM is--and that we're lucky enough to have them in Fairfield! My favorite is the saag paneer, but the lamb korma and aloo gobi are close runners up. Their mango lassi is also superb, not too sweet. My son also likes that they're part of door dash. read more

Great food every time... Everything I've had there is so tasty. Their Saag in particular is just heavenly. The chicken and fish are both always so tender with no fatty bits, and for a veggie switch-up I recommend the Malai Kofta. Mango Lassi is also a no-brainer. read more

All we got for that was a girl brought our food to us in to go containers - not 20% worth service, so wish I wouldn't have paid that much tip. We ordered chicken tikka masala and it was just ok. Very strong tomato taste - not enough spices like we've had at other Indian restaurants. The kashmiri naan was very dry & not much flavor. My daughter got the chili chicken & that was delicious. First time eating here tonight and it won't be the last! We shared the Ginger chicken and Chicken Tikka Saag. The meals come with rice and we only ate half. I should have gotten two orders of Naan! You order at the counter and then sit. They bring it to you in to-go containers. The chicken was great quality and the flavor delicious. We drive an hour for Om - the very best Indian food around! You can't beat their creamy Chicken Tikka Masala. Get it at a 4 spice level if you can handle it. We also love their Saag Paneer and Chicken Curry. The naan is also delicious. We've tried a handful of other items which were all good, but these are our absolute favorites. Next up - we're trying the Chicken Tikka Saag, since we always mix the Tikka and Saag at home. We were excited to see that combination on their menu. This was the most mediocre food I've had in a long time. The tomato soup tasted like it was right out of a Campbell's can. And the mushroom Matar had zero flavor. I actually tried to taste any Indian spices in it and could not. The only thing that had any flavor was the white rice, and that's not saying a lot for the rest of the meal. First of all, I ate too much! The food is really high quality and that might have been the best chicken tikki masala and paneer makhani I've ever had. Usually my complaint with paneer is that the texture is rubbery but that wasn't the case at this restaurant. You can it's homemade and just a better quality. Also, a common issue I've had in he past with chicken tikki is that the chicken will be a bit dry whereas it was incredibly tender here. The portions are huge and I had plenty to take home. They are located where snappy tomatoes used to be and would be great for carry out or doordash. We ate in and had great service. read more

After my favorite Indian food restaurant in town - Delhi Palace, went temporarily out of business due to a fire, I decided to drive across town to give their sister restaurant a try. I have to say OM India is just as good. I had the Paneer Makhani, something I've never gotten before and it was absolutely amazing. Service was great as well; when you come in you are treated like family. Definitely try their Paneer Naan. It would be great to see more appetizers on the menu because I would love to see what they could do next. Until Delhi Palace reopens I'll be happy to drive the 40 minutes across town for Om India. read more
