The theater is easy to find and there is a parking lot (pay to park) right next door. Now, I will say, the seating rows are a bit tight meaning once you sit down, no one can pass by you. You would literally have to stand up and possibly move into the isle way to let the person pass by. My advice, get a seat at the END of the isle. But otherwise, great community theater and we can't wait to go back!

She's enjoyed several theater camps in the Tacoma area and we value each for a unique culture. What I especially appreciate about TYT is how they conjure something amazing virtually from thin air. The kids have a blast. Every kid gets a good part and they are involved in all aspects of the production. It's a great little "black box" theater. The camp was a great boost for my daughter's creativity and confidence. I give 4 stars only because sometimes the TYT folks were late opening the door in the mornings. Sometimes you waited around a few minutes to drop off your child. This wasn't a big deal for me, but I can see how it would annoy some parents & caregivers.

I did like that the seats were all at an angle where there was no one blocking your line of sight. We sat up in the higher seats toward the back so it was definitely no one blocking our vision. I will say that I was expecting more at the pageant. I don't know if it was due to the people who put on the pageant or if the performing arts center helped them put on the show, but it was very basic. Maybe the background and general set up was basic, as not to detract focus from the lovely ladies parading around the stage with the hopes of winning. I will say that everything looks new and clean and it doesn't give off that old high school auditorium feel. The rest of the center is very nice. The bathrooms are reasonable and there is some cool sculptures hanging overhead in the lobby. I still prefer the size of the auditorium and stage at other venues like the Washington Center for Performing Arts or the Pantages Theater, but this one works for this campus.

She is so spunky, has a lot of energy, and I love how she is so animated when she directs. Not too bad that I'm partial to strings, Berstein and more contemporary pieces, but also in the last concert, they had a "mystery song" on the program. In about 3 notes, I recognized it as Cyndi Lauper's "True Colors" which brings me to tears anyway, but to see a guest violinist and a full orchestra playing such a great piece was fantastic, and the subtle rainbow lights (part of the song, if you don't know) just really hammered it home for me. I'm also an LGBTQ ally so love anything with rainbows, but congrats to the organizers, musicians, director, guests and sponsors for bringing youth and contemporary stuff into the fold. I know people at work who aren't classical music enthusiasts but they started coming, so yay! Keep music and the arts alive in this community. Thank you for helping me have a big girl cry.

paid $80 to learn how to knit a chunky blanket and another $20 to make a candle. honestly would…read morehave been a good time, but the instructor was so absent during the class period. was told to come 0930 or 9:30AM as per the order e-mail confirmation, which is 30 minutes before the 1000 or 10:00AM knitting class so that you clhave enough time to do both activities until 1300 or 1:00PM. the instructor did not open the door until 0951 or 9:51 AM even though I had signed up weeks ago. lack of communication from the shop about how the timeline will play out, and so instead, the instructor had to interrupt the knitting time to then squeeze the candle-making time. extremely disappointed by lack of communication and coordination this location. I had high hopes, truly, but maybe it was just the instructor that did it for me. the instructor would dipout and multitask elsewhere away from the class-goers who had to standby for a bit so that they can get her help on instruction clarification. Ended up needing to help our peers out because our instructor lacked the initiative to check in on all the guests. Nonetheless, very pretty and happily bright shop. Makes you want to-do a studio tour to truly appreciate the beauty of the art that covers the walls.

The instructor actually told us she had never painted that before, and she completely botched it. Not to mention, had her friend in the class as well (which is normally not an issue) but was totally distracted which in turn was messing everyone else up. A few people around us expressed their frustrations as well, to which she laughed off or would continually repeat "I hear everything in this room". Keeping in mind that this is a black light painting, we almost didnt even get to see what it looked like under the blacklight until my mother asked the instructor if we could a short while after the sessions was over and almost half the class had already left. Would not come back here even if I was paid to, teach your instructors to do their job better. Would give 0 stars if I could.
