I was recently admitted to Melbourne Hospital via the emergency room on 6/13/26 thru 6/19/26. The nurses, CNAs/techs, mid level providers and physician were all excellent, caring, attentive & compassionate. Everyone was extremely patient despite my numerous questions & concerns. I'd like to recognize everyone that took care of me and apologize if I've left anyone off of this list. Thank you to the following staff for your kind, attentive care during a very stressful time for me: *** Kal RN, *** Lauren (LJ) RN, *** Yaneisy (YR) RN, *** Ingris (IM) RN, *** Danielle (DL) RN, *** Snrha (SJ) RN-Nurse Leader, *** Patience (PP) RN, *** Samantha (SK) RN, *** Lauren (LT) RN *** Gina (GG) RN *** Mia (MT) CNA, *** Andrea (AP) Tech, *** Tara (TB) CNA, *** Britt (BW) Tech, *** Andrea (AP) Tech *** Ashley (AO) Care Manager, *** Brandon (BC) Care Manager *** Pharmacist that helped me resolve medication questions on my day of discharge. I forgot her name but not her help & patience. Also to all the Dr's & Nurse Practitioners that took care of me. I cannot sing y'alls praises enough and thank you from the bottom of my heart for all your care & attention. I'm planning to return (hopefully) sooner than later to get my cardiac ablation!

My first stay was in August 2017 for the laparoscopic removal of a small diseased nodule from my lung by a skilled cardiothoracic surgeon. In my most recent visit, I had the pleasure of having the resident GI doc, Maboob Alicon, treat me, for an upper GI bleed. He has fabulous beside manner and outstanding clinical skills. He prescribed medication to heal an ulcer in my upper GI tract. The nursing staff who served me on both occasions was very caring, attentive, responsive, and respectful as well as knowledgeable about my conditions and my health history. The CNA staff was as equally attentive. The rooms were kept in immaculate cleanliness. The food leaves something to be desired. More often than not it arrived in a less-than-warm state. In addition, the order that I had placed was filled incorrectly, either the wrong item was delivered, or an item was omitted. I have confidence that I received excellent medical and nursing care.

Unfortunate that we're not allowed to give 0 stars because that's what this place deserves. Do not…read morego here if you can help it. The hospital on Gateway is slightly better so you may retain a bit more of your sanity by going there instead. What you first notice, when you walk in, is the security. If you expected to get to your appointment early or on time, forget about it. They wanded me with a wand that could not detect metal. Brilliant. How do I know this? Because their supervisor came over and waved it over his gun and it didn't chime. They continued using it even after I was let through three minutes later. When I get to Radiology - the place where my appointment is - they tell me I need to check in at a different place in the building. Again, if you're expecting to get to your appointment early or on time, forget it. I go all the way to where I'm supposed to check in, get checked in, then walk back to Radiology after my appointment time. Even after showing back up to the Radiology department after my appointment time, I still had to wait for a while until I got called back. The only saving grace for that star is that the tech who performed the procedure was very pleasant and efficient. Do NOT go here if you can help it

Needed emergency care, but not serious enough for the ER, so I went here for a few stitches. The…read moredoctor and Nurse Practitioner were absolutely fantastic! Even though I was there at closing, they took special care of me and made it a pleasant, fun, and learning experience. Unfortunately, that is where any good comments end. When I arrived at the clinic, I'm told the network for my insurance (Medicare) is down and they are unable authorization. They suggested I go to the ER, unless I wanted to pay cash for my visit and then file for reimbursement from my insurance. As I was standing there with a severed finger bleeding through the towel I had wrapped it in, I decide to just pay the cash and get the treatment I need quicker (and cheaper). When I contacted my insurance, they said that they are prohibited from reimbursements and the clinic should have filed the next day if they were having problems. They contacted the clinic and spoke with the Office Manager there. After nearly an hour of conversation and arguing, the clinic manager flatly refused to file the claim and reimburse me my money. They said that they "have their money and need to do nothing more". I am now going into month three of my pursuit to get reimbursed through the grievance program at my insurance company. I'm told it will be approved, but the process is lengthy. Not only was the financial and customer service part of the clinic at an atrociously low level of performance and professionalism, but the clinic even pointed out that they would have charged insurance nearly $900 for my visit, but I only paid a total of $140 in cash!!. Is this why our insurance rates are so high??

Dr. Farid is an incredible doctor. My husband and I are both in the medical field and we were…read morereferred to him by several of our medical friends when we had children. My children have been patients of his for several years now. Our experience has been consistently excellent under the care of Dr. Farid and his staff. Dr. Farid actually listens to parent's concerns. He has always taken any worries that I have had for my children's health seriously. He has never dismissed me or made me feel invalidated. He always aligns himself with my concerns and tests my children thoroughly for any issues that we have had. One child, in particular, has had very complicated health issues and I have been dismissed and gaslighted by many very incompetent and negligent doctors that were considered specialists! Dr. Farid is one of the very few who actually cared, listened and tested my daughter for concerns expressed. He was so thorough in the tests and blood work that he ordered, that my daughter's endocrinologist expressed how impressed he was with Dr. Farid and his intelligence. He stated that in his 25 years of working in endocrinology with patients that he had only seen one other pediatrician order the tests correctly as Dr. Farid had! 99% of the time the labs are not ordered correctly or thoroughly enough. This endocrinologist assured me that Dr. Farid was FAR SUPERIOR to other pediatricians and it reaffirmed that my child was getting the best care as his patient. In this situation, it was Dr. Farid who discovered my daughter's issue and diagnosed her! He was able to actually figure out what was going on with her when so many other Specialists could not. If it hadn't been for Dr. Farid, my daughter would have been stuck suffering. Dr. Farid is a gift to BREVARD county. I am so thankful to him and his staff. You can rest assured your child will get the BEST care as his patient! I refer all of our friends and their children to him. You, as a parent, will be listened to. Your child, as a patient, will be cared for with incredible compassion and excellence! I give Dr. Farid my highest recommendation and consider him to be one of our family's greatest blessings.
