My second visit was for my nieces music program, which was done very nicely.. My niece speaks often and highly about all she learns, her teachers and her environment. If I had children, I would want them enrolled at Hope Academy as well. Ambiance: Located on Chicago Avenue and 25th. There was no lot adjacent to the school, however there is street parking and a ramp directly across the street. Growing up on the South Side, It is located literally next door to one of the most drug saturated parks in South Minneapolis (Franklin & Chicago), but prior to building the school, they started cleaning the park up. The neighborhood has changed some over the years and has become a different environment for children to play, bus and be educated. The school itself has secured doors and only one entrance in and out for visitors.

There is a strong work ethic, a calm, professional atmosphere and the students have very clear guidelines of expected behavior. The only reason I am not giving it five stars is I've never been a fan of their scary mascot warrior - he doesn't fit at all in with the safe, secure environment that the school is known for. Otherwise, I would've been proud to have had my own children attend there when they were younger.

Walking on campus daily was enjoyable. I had to be careful at crosswalks and to obey the traffic "walk" signals.

I have never taken a course at the University of Minnesota (UMN). I used to hang out in this area…read moremainly because I like Dinkytown, which is the heart of UMN student life. I like the stores and good eats in this neighbourhood. I've always felt comfortable visiting universities and checking out campuses. It's no different here. I had a friend who got his master and doctorate degrees from this university, so I got to hear about his experiences when we both lived in Minnesota. I am a hockey fan. The UMN has a decent hockey program, both men's and women's. You often see local talent make it to the Minnesota Wild and Minnesota Frost rosters, respectively. Alex Goligoski, who recently retired from the NHL, played for the Minnesota Golden Gophers at UMN before he was drafted by the Pittsburgh Penguins. He won the Stanley Cup with this team, but spent his last three years with the Wild as a defenseman. During his 1,000th NHL game, he scored the game-winning goal, which was quite the storybook ending. As of late, Brock Faber is a solid defenseman on the Wild. He is starting his second full season with the team and was captain of the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He is young, but exceptionally skilled and mature beyond his years. Taylor Heise, who is a forward for the PWHL's Minnesota Frost, played for the Minnesota women's hockey team. The Frost won the Walter Cup and she won the Ilana Kloss Playoff MVP award. If I were looking into academics, UMN has both computer science and mathematics departments that would have appealed to me. It is similar to York University in that you can choose to do either a Bachelor of Arts or Science in either field. Only a Master of Science is available in both. You can also study towards a PhD in either domain. UMN has a Bachelor of Science in Technical Writing and Communication. Many universities start off offering Technical Writing degrees as an Arts degree. I like the shift with universities going with a Bachelor of Science. Technical writers are needed more than ever to explain technical, complex details as clearly and concisely in engineering, medical, and more. It's makes more sense that it's a Science degree. This university does not offer graduate degrees in Technical Writing. It's one reason why I didn't do my Master's here. I don't have any inclination to get a doctorate. If UMN offered one in my chosen field, I'd consider it if the price is affordable and I could do it remotely. It was nice being back in the area. (394)

My grandson started Bridge View in September of 2022. I am totally surprised by the life skills…read morethey are teaching him. He likes to get up and go to school, where previously we had to cajole, beg, and plead with him to get up. He has Down syndrome and is very stubborn. They go on field trips all the time and do the things a regular 9th grader would do, abet on a much different level. They had a Christmas program and I was blown away by all the work the teachers and aids put into this program for the children. i had tears in my eyes. So far, i am grateful Bridge View School exists and my grandson has a place to go where he is not looked down upon.

This school is a special needs School all 100% special needs children in grade K through 12. My son…read morehas been a student at the school now for the past five or so years. I have had to battle with the school about the issue of soy milk because they do not provide soy milk at all. My son is allergic to cow's milk and cannot drink lactose-free milk. This building also has the office of Valeria Silva the superintendent of all public st. Paul schools. I have emailed Valeria Silva I have called her I have sent her a dozen or more letters which none have been replied to none I've gotten zero response from her. Now my son is in 8th grade this year and has contracted bed bugs from the school he brought them home and now we have an infestation in our home. Not only is it going to cost me $1,800 from my landlord but my landlord is charging me for the extermination of these nasty bugs, and the extermination company is turning my whole house upside down. I have contacted the health department I spoke with 5 people with the health department I have spoken with Lisa the principle of Bridgeview School I've also spoken with Myblia who is the social worker at Bridgeview School, and I have spoken to the secretary, bernae. None of these three were able to answer any of the questions I had about the money that I now have to pay for the extermination of these nasty things and whether or not my son could get these nasty bed bugs again from school. I am now afraid to send my son back to school because I'm afraid he will bring them home again from this School. I don't know if there are other special needs schools in the district of st. Paul but I know this one unless you want your child to bring home bed bugs and if you cannot give your child cow's milk I would skip this school.

Park admin have been brought multiple incidences From…read morestudents and myself and they haven't done anything here are a couple situations they didn't look at at all,,,admin will get up in students faces (even those with 504,ieps) and they are covering for a teacher who has multiple times gone into the men's restroom and pulled students away from urinals while the students is using the facilities the teachers are allowed to cuss out students but the min the students do it to teachers were in trouble (also the teacher didn't get a single punishment not when all the students said it too park is disgusting out right batshit crazy I do not recommend sending your students to this school they will be mentally broken after coming here

A terrible mistake that lurks in the bowels of the darkest shadows, unbeknownst to you as you make the best memories and thought to be silly mistakes that later are soon submerged and make you question the time you spent here.
