There is a disturbing hypocrisy regarding the advice given to young women. I witnessed church administration and members actively pressure single mothers--specifically those from vulnerable socioeconomic backgrounds and protected groups--to carry pregnancies to term and give the children up for adoption. However, when their own daughters face similar situations, the rules seem to change. It is deeply concerning to see individuals who publicly enforce a strict stance privately arrange for their own children to go out of state for abortions. This 'rules for thee, but not for me' mentality reveals a discrimination based on class and race. It is dangerous when leadership influences others to make life-altering decisions based on a worldview they do not actually follow themselves. I hope this review encourages at least one person to pause and consider whether the advice they are receiving is truly in their best interest."

St. John the Baptist in Savage? Save your money. We've been disappointed & are glad our kids are…read moredone there. Classes are geared to the under achievers. Good teachers are rare, particularly in Math and Science. Alternate student standardized testing, compares "apples-to-oranges" when ranking and comparing their students to students from other schools. There are no provisions to address the needs of students with higher abilities. In the lower grades, students are discouraged from "getting too far ahead" of their peers, limiting reading materials to grade number rather than a child's ability. There is a school dress code. It is selectively enforced. The rules should apply to the teachers. A few teachers in the upper grades, can be found chewing gum at anytime, including on Mass days. Respect and manners are optional. Attend a school Mass to see upper grade students, acting like animals INSIDE the worship area. The Pastor does nothing. The Principal just passes the buck. He's an academic zero, under educated and/or qualified, he hasn't completed the academic or certification requirements for the job. Hardly, as the school claims, "...the best for our students..." .
