Your kids aren't blonde haired, blue eyed, very skinny, and rich they will be brutally bullied and if your family doesn't have money the school will do nothing about it and brush it off. Lunches are free, but if your kid is in middle or high school and dares eat the main dish instead of getting a salad they will be looked down upon by their peers. There's a huge eating disorder culture here - the school store doesn't sell uniforms above an adult medium. If your family happens not to be white or white passing, you will be outcast and treated different. If you don't have a boatload of money and are on scholarship - you will be treated differently. Report any bullying or abuse from other students and they will sweep it under the rug to save face. The religion portion of the education is also extremely dated and extreme - very conservative - in 8th grade your child will watch every 70s abstinence video on the planet and be compared to a wrapped present. They have a pro-life club that actively campaigns at lunch to k-12 students. Class trips start happening in middle school and cost anywhere from $2000-20,000 and are anywhere from Chicago to China. Don't get me wrong, the education is spectacular and your student will be 2-3 grade levels ahead of public school students but if you don't fit the mold their mental health will suffer. The harsh reality is that there is a specific look and cadence to the type of student that fits in and is most welcomed here.

They lied on the daily sheet about how often they changed him, and since I cloth diaper I know how many times he is changed. If they are lying on my sheet, I'm sure they are lying on other kids sheets as well. The staff is nice enough to talk to, but I have no trust in the quality of care my child is receiving.

We just transferred to a new daycare closer to our new house, so I felt compelled to share my experience at Holy Nativity because we were very reluctant to leave! Brittany is the Director & is on point. She answers questions, she is professional, kind, and you'll often find her hands-on in each of the classrooms. The rapport she has with all of her teachers is evident in their tenure. Most of the teachers have been there 10+ years. In childcare, that is unheard of. I truly believe it's a testament to Brittany's leadership & the environment created at Holy Nativity. If you are looking for a great center for your kids, here are some reasons to put this daycare on your list of places to tour: -Reasonably Priced: We were paying $305/week for Infant care (5 days a week) at Holy Nativity. Closer to our new home, the prices are more like $350+/week. It's a great value. -Teachers are experienced typically carrying Bachelor's Degrees in Education/Elementary Ed/etc. -Teachers have been there a long time & LOVE their jobs. There's nothing worse than leaving you kids with someone who doesn't care. These women love your kids like their own & you feel how genuine that is. It was one of the most important things to me when choosing a center. -Extra-Curriculars: They go above and beyond to create fun experiences for the kids. In the summer, they have an agreement with the nearby YMCA for splash-pad access in the pre-school room, they rent bounce-houses for the kids, have special musical guests, chefs, etc. WOW! -Every holiday they celebrate & Christmas involves a Christmas show with Infant Room-Preschool represented. -It's a small center: 1 infant room, 1 toddler room, 1 pre-school room. You won't fee like a number here. -Professionalism: Brittany in the office is responsive, addresses concerns, and keeps the vibe at Holy Nativity so positive. I can't recommend this school enough. My daughter Birdie has started at a new daycare but she still says 'Amy' (her Toddler teacher's name) every day on the way there. I know she misses it.
