Ms. Martinez is the utmost professional as an accupunctuist. I was referred to her by a friend and have been working with her for 2+ years and continue to refer to any chance I get. Her office is in an easy to reach location, with a very relaxing, super clean and well appointed office suite. I particularly enjoy the music she plays during treatment and the aromatherapy that she suggests to complement her treatment plan for me. Ms. Martinez really take the time to understand what my concerns are, initially and for each subsequent apointment. I have found her to be very thorough, informative and innovative about what would be best for me and addressing my conditions/concerns. I have suffer from fibromyalgia and its complications, including depression and a shoulder injury. Lourdes Martinez, at Olney Acupuncture, spends as much time as I need from her, and as a result, she gets to the root of whatever pain or problem I'm dealing with. Then she designs a treatment plan specifically for me. In the last few weeks, she has helped me so much that I was able to function without antidepressants (which have so many unpleasant side effects). It's so much better to be able to go to acupuncture every week or so than to take medications that wreak havoc on my body. I have really enjoyed my sessions with Lourdes, she is very knowledgeable, accommodating in scheduling times and does not rush through her appointments; this was very important to me. I was diagnosed with IC (Interstitial Cystitis) in July of 2012 and have had numerous setbacks in my health since then. I refused to be on pain medicine and antidepressants, which were both discussed. I believe there is a reason for every message we receive from our body and I intended to respond to them naturally and address the root of the problem. Olney Acupunture (OA) was truly an amazing find, and Ms. Martinez is a God-send. I initially visited OA in search of "quick fix" for weight loss. To my surprise and appreciation I have received much more in terms of healing. In particular, each session is effective and personalized to my individual needs at the time of my visit. While my initial "issues" have been addressed through treatments, I have also experienced positive results with "issues" I did not even realize I had.
