When calling to make an initial consultation in December 2021, I specifically asked Lia whether Heritage Acupuncture accepted our insurance (Aetna). She confirmed that they did. At the end of the visit, they charged us the full $80, promising submit a claim to Aetna for reimbursement. In late January 2022, I called to check on the status of the claim. Lia told me that the $80 has gone towards our out-of-network deductible, so there would be no reimbursement. It turned out that Heritage is not in the Aetna network, so Lia had not been honest with me during our first phone call. We ended up spending $50 more than if we had gone to an in-network provider. I've been getting acupuncture therapy for a few months. I started coming to see Dr. Daisy Tran to treat chronic neck and back pain based on a recommendation. I never received acupuncture before, but am so glad I started coming. Since seeing Daisy, I've had a variation of acupuncture, cupping, and massage therapy to treat my various ailments. The treatments have helped reduce and remove the pain I was feeling in my neck and back. Daisy has also given me herbs to help treat some other health issues (cold, flu, hormonal imbalances) to treat the root cause of my issues as opposed to masking the issue. Daisy is great because she always discusses the cause of my pain, and how the treatment is supposed to impact it. Daisy also showed me some exercises to help strengthen certain muscles in my body to avoid putting so much stress on my back. Daisy's staff is also really nice, and the office is clean and organized. Due to my demanding job and hobby of sand volleyball, I had very tight and painful shoulder, neck, back, arms, and at times leg muscles. I also never stretch before or after any of my activities and it had caused a toll on my body that my wife had persuaded me to go see Daisy for treatment. At times I could not turn my head due to it being too painful or stiff and my range of motion became limited. I was very hesitant about trying acupuncture but with the persuasion of my wife, I decided to give it a try (even though I was skeptical at the time of alternative medicine). To my surprise after the first treatment, I really enjoyed it! Not to mention I was amazed on how well the treatment worked since I was so skeptical of the process. Daisy was deeply knowledgeable of the human anatomy. I did not really have to tell her where the issues were at all. She had me stand before her while she assessed my body postures and she was able to determine the causes of my pain and tightness. She released the different points and with the combination of her massage therapist focusing on the muscles, she was able to resolve my issues. I was even shock to see that part of my neck and back pains were related to muscles located near the arm pit! Who would have guessed that a muscle there would cause issues to the back and the neck! I now see Daisy regularly and get treatment for various parts of my body and unlike other medical professionals, Daisy does not look at you as a number on their file. She actually gets to know you and your case and personalizes the treatment to fit you and your lifestyle. Unlike other doctors that I have worked with, Daisy actually explains to you what she is doing, how it will help you, and works with your comfort level to achieve the resolution of your issues. If you want to try an alternative way to relieve your pain from taking medication, I highly recommend that you give her a chance and give her treatment a try! read more

I have been going there for over a year now. The only thing that helps me with my tight, aching piriformis is Daisy. I didn't believe that acupuncture would help, but it is the ONLY thing that makes a difference. She is also kind, understanding, and has great bedside manner. I have been an athlete for about 10 years now and I have never found more relief anywhere than with Dr. Daisy Tran. My pain mostly comes from exercising - sports, running, lifting, etc. I'm one of those people always goes hard, without regard for my body, then never stretches before or after. The worst thing anyone could tell me is, "you need to rest". Whenever I complained to other doctors, I was told, "take 3 Advil, 3 times a day" the work from treatments never lasted. The first time that I thought, "oh my gosh, this is amazing" was when I injured my wrist and arm. After telling Daisy what happened and where it hurt, and showing her the extent of my range of motion, she gave me a detailed explanation of why I was prone to this kind of injury and even the mechanics of why I was injured. Needles were never a big issue for me so I didn't think anything of them...until I felt a jolt down my entire arm and instant release of tension. My muscles had been so tight to the point where I was constantly in great discomfort. I came in for treatments on a regular basis, feeling better after each one. She would also give me exercises to rehabilitate my wrist and how to improve my strength and overall health. Daisy suggested that I come back for the same kind of treatment but for different areas of my body so I thought, "why not, my legs have always been uncomfortable anyways". This was the next time I took the time to think, "I have definitely found the right doctor". She takes the time to get to know your case to better determine which treatments are best suited to you as an individual. She constantly communicates what she is doing and how it will help. Dr. Li and daisy are fantastic. I have been going here since 2013 and I have had any aches and pains. I will admit I was extremely skeptical and not a believer. I only went because a mutual friend was a friends with daisy. I remeber coming in and yelling her I don't care how it works, don't care to understand, all I want is to see if it works. At the time I was suffering panic attacks and couldn't sleep, breath or have bowl movments. Daisy provided me fixes until my body could heal and adjust. Since then i became a believer. Here's my overdue review on Heritage Accupunture. This mother daughter run operation is a hidden gem. Dr Li and Dr Daisy Tran come from a lineage of medical professionals/accupunturists in China. Dr Tran was trained by both her mother and here in the states. They have both been effective in treating my case. I was originally referred here for infertility through word of mouth recommendations from the local Asian community. However, Dr Li and Dr Daisy Tran was able determine my underlying health issues and ultimately the root cause of my many symptoms (fatigue, headache, low white blood cell count, and arthritis), which was linked to a chronically infected root canal. She referred me to a list of top notch medical practitioners, whom she herself uses and trusts. Both Dr Li and Dr Tran are passionate and committed to their mission of improving the health of their patients. I am now on my journey of recovery thanks to this establishment. read more

I've been visiting Dr. Daisy Tran over the years and she is really amazing at what she does. I am so afraid of needles and each time she was able to make me feel calm and relaxed. Her treatments are so smooth I always feel like I'm in good hands. She is so knowledgeable about how everything in the body connects and was able to locate the source of my shoulder pain. I also went to her when I felt like I had carpel tunnel syndrome in my hands and fingers postpartum, and she completely treated it right away - I felt immediately better after the first visit, and it went away a few visits later. I have been seeing Dr. Tran since 2014 and she is amazing! I suffer from unexplained infertility and Dr. Tran helped to prepare my body for IVF treatments. Prior to seeing Dr. Tran, my hormone levels were not suitable for pregnancy. Dr. Tran has helped me to get my levels back to normal. We had a successful IVF treatment on the first try. While I can't say it was 100% due to Dr. Tran's magic, but I truly believe that she helped to get my body and levels to where they need to be through acupuncture and herbs. I want to say, I don't typically leave feedbacks on Yelp. However, I have been wanting to write one about my acupuncture experience here. I started coming here about a half a year ago. That doesn't mean a lot without some issues I have been going through for a decade now. I suffer from chronic migraines (those of you that had suffered through this will know what I mean as I describe it), it is one of those migraines that comes when the weather pressure changes, or a heavy scent of sorts hits me, and/or it just came for whatever reason that it did. I wouldn't be able to drive, and constantly feel hot and cold (like having a flu), can't be anywhere that is noisy, has too much light, or smell. I am just sick. I took prescription medication (had four different ones that was prescribed to me) and I would take 4-6 Advils on top of my prescription meds...a bit much right? It gets better. I also had a slipped disc a decade ago (no idea how that happened either, I wish I had an awesome story to share) and so I am on an off on pain meds to help me through the pain. You know the mornings when you wake up, can't quite stand up, instead you are hunched over trying to get to the wall to help you straighten up, and/or when you are driving (I know...that's bad) and your back is giving you spasms.. So that is only two of my major issues, there are others but I am sure you get the picture. This is how Daisy has helped me with my back pains and my migraines - the biggest reasons why I went in the first place. Meds and Chiropractic care hasn't done much for me for a decade. I figured it couldn't hurt to try this Eastern medicine out, and what the heck? Needles that can help you? I had my serious doubts, not to mention I hate needles... In the six months I have been and still seeing Daisy, I no longer take my pain meds, and I am off my migrain prescription meds, I still take an Advil or two but it is so far and in between, it isn't even significant (did you notice it is 1-2 Advils not 4-6, plus my prescription that I use to take to dull my migraines??). I am able to walk and sleep better at night, I don't have issues where I wake up in the morning and I can't stand up or put on my clothes because of the pain, I no longer get daily or frequent (4 times a week) migraines. I still get migraines here and there in the six months I have been seeing her, but by far getting it once every two months is so much more tolerable than what I have been going through the last decade. I was skeptical about Acupuncture and this internal healing, but I am convinced. I use to see my doctor on a weekly basis - cause I also got sick all the time... but not anymore. I am happy that I found Daisy, she was able to pinpoint my exact issues and to treat me quickly and effectively. I actually feel the results and as much as I cringe every time I think of the needles, I continue to go because of the effectiveness it has and continue to have on me. I am convinced, Acupuncture works... if I had known sooner, and knew it was this effective, I wouldn't have been on meds for so long, but I am happy I know now. I happily go see Daisy weekly to get treated, and cringe about the needles. Sorry for the long post, but I hope this helps someone else's health as it has really improved mine. read more

Years of office work and sporadic workouts takes its toll. Not only are the dynamic duo great with acupuncture and Chinese massage, their comprehensive appreciation of health and wellness allow them to recommend a more balanced diet based on ying/yang theories as practiced as well as specialized exercises to lengthen and relax those parts of the urban office bodies that are commonly neglected. I have 2 active kids, teenager girl and a tween boy and they get exposed to lots of viruses and yucky stuff with their friends and school. Daisy is there to the rescue! My daughter (XC & track athlete in high school) loves Daisy and trusts her, even with needles in her hands. Daisy has helped her with the various colds and coughs during the school year and balanced her out with all her running with tight muscles as well as getting better blood circulation throughout her body. Daisy has also given her good advice on how to take care of her body. And that's not easy with a teenager! She actually enjoys getting acupuncture from Daisy. My son has received similar treatments for colds and constipation, probably not as much as my daughter; he's more hardy and gets over viruses quickly.
