The items are discounted and most things are really good quality. Last time I was there we got a 25 lb kettlebell for $20, some named brand face cream that was $4, and my husband got some Monster headphones he was really excited about for $40. Unfortunately when we got back to our family's house only one headphone worked. We took it back and I was pleasantly surprised that the return process was seamless. We will continue to go back when we are in town and see what deals we can find.

I always leave with something I adore and this year, I decided to gussy up my outside urns. I had never wanted to go to the expense but caught some pictures from Van Liews posts of their pots and decided to stop by. Although the after holiday sale hadn't started, the owner directed me to items that were more cost effective and also gave me a discount on the red bulb stakes. She also had me look at several of their urns to get an idea of what I was going for and then made some recommendations. Although I paid more than other places, the quality of the artificial greenery is spectacular and I know I will be able to keep it from year to year. Not sorry I splurged!

Deciding to do a review here after shopping for a consistent 3-4 months for groceries. I wanted to…read moreget a good feel for it. I did not grow up shopping at target weekly so it is definitely a different experience than walmart. First of all, this target is clean!!! There are not random items laying around, nothing on the floor, and good organization overall. I like this target because they have a lot of clearance items on food/pastries/hygiene/cleaning products. The clearance signs are easy to find and include good everyday products. The app doesn't always align with the price given, so i appreciate the price scanners located in the store. I do not interact with a ton of the employees because I usually do self checkout but the employees at self checkout are always kind. They have a lot of workers!! Sometimes there is a worker on almost every aisle restocking things. The prices are reasonable, especially with the app. I find that my grocery bills are cheaper here than other stores for sure.

One place that will always dominate any neighborhood besides that other depressing behemoth store…read moreis Target. A huge sprawling parking lot with enough space under one roof to get in a mile of walking, if one were so compelled. This brings me to Target in Overland Park. Located in a safe and extremely close to most major roads and the interstate, almost anything you need since it's a Super Target. They do have a few employees walking around however you might have to hunt a bit to get them. However once you do, they're extremely willing to assist and friendly. Finally the place is always clean and well stocked with inventory so that's a huge bonus. Most items like pet food and accessories are in abundance, hardware and housing goods have most of what someone needs and the kitchen section has a lot of average equipment to great stuff depending on what you need. For example, the knife selection is horrible but mixers are just as good as anywhere else. I do all of my vitamin and specialty medicine (not prescription) from Target as it's the cheapest. If you're shopping for clothing, they do a pretty good job of maintaining many different sizes and keeping the clothes in their proper racks. Many other stores you can find the clothes just thrown about. The seasonal selection is decent but runs out pretty quick as they like to get the items in early, then restock only a few times, allowing it to run out well before the holiday. As for the food, it has what one has come to expect from Target, average products at a low cost however when it comes to fruit and veggies, they're much better than "mart" place of a "wall". The baked and homemade food items are average but better than that other "blue" store! They do have a pretty good bakery and they're the only one that sells Boston Cream Pie!!! I've also found they're the best for toys as I when I take my kids they have all most popular items and in bulk. So, if you want that GI Joe action figure, you probably will find it here. As for electronics, they have most of the newest gaming consoles, games and controllers however 4k media is limited, but that's a standard among all stores now as physical media continues to be replaced by inferior forms of content like streaming. Overall, Target is exactly what you expect anywhere and that's by design. The only real differences are subtle things that regionally might sell better at one place then another state won't offer a product as it won't make sense. Think of a heavy winter coat for sale in Texas - it isn't needed. Other than those items, it's Target so you already know what you want. This is the best Target around and will definitely save you trips to other stores.

The Goodwill bins are not for everyone. It takes a very specific, very patient, very hands-on…read moreperson to have a good day at the bins. If that's you, you're in for a treat! There are lots of great things to be found here but they're entirely dependent upon luck. You might come for days and find nothing good, then find something amazing in the first 10 minutes another time. Be prepared for dubious substances, slime, broken glass, and lots of garbage. Wear gloves if you think you need them. Be prepared for people to shove you out of the way to get something they want or, alternatively, stand 3 inches away and give you the stink eye while you dig through a bin they want to look in. As other reviewers have said, the people working there often just make up prices. This can sometimes work out in your favor but often leads to overpaying, especially if they make you weigh the cart. Whatever weight they have put in for the carts is not accurate at all and will lead to you paying extra 99 times out of 100. Seriously, this place is not for the faint of heart. Or nose. If you're a hardcore thrifter looking for your next treasure, it's absolutely worth the visit. Just make sure you bring some hand sanitizer!

I stopped into this Burlington store because the Shawnee store does not offer dressing rooms. This…read morestore only has two dressing booths at the front of the store and there's always a line. This store had limited picked over supplies with a lot of spacing between items. It was disorganized and disarray in quite a few areas. The service at the front counter was fine, and the girl was friendly who did the check out. There were some things that had a good value to them and pricing but they really did not have a lot to offer. I'm pretty much done with Burlington stores. I had a gift certificate that I had to use and that's why I visited.

When I arrived, I first asked to use the trash can to throw away some old receipts from my glove box. The saleswoman took them from my hand and passive-aggressively told me that she personally would have looked around outside first for a trash car before taking them out of her car. All righty then. While I was waiting for my item to be moved to the front of the store, I decided to go browsing. I love everything anything London or Paris-themed and was pleasantly surprised that I couldn't find anything objectionable. That is, until I had already paid and was waiting by the counter for someone to help me load the dresser into my car. The entire L-shaped front counter display is fully stocked with racist Jim Crow-era pottery, statues, and knick-knacks. I was stunned. I asked for my money back right away and left without the dresser. The most disgusting part of the scenario, besides the items being available for purchase at all, is the way they are displayed prominently in a place of honor designated by the owner to proudly celebrate Jim Crow-era nostalgic racism. I used the money I would have spent to take a family member to see BlackkKlansman. DO NOT SUPPORT RACISTS WITH YOUR MONEY. If you find the sale of items which exist to stereotype and degrade black people offensive, please do not give this establishment any of your money. If you have purchased things here in the past or plan to, please tell the owners that their decision to lean into and profit from racism is wrong and that you will not be giving them your business in the future. As consumers, we have the power to do that much.
