Friendly, helpful and some are even like family at this point. We love Terri! We always hope to have her as our waitress when we visit. She adores my son and I adore her for it. She actually remembered his birthday last year and gave him cash from her apron. The coffee is always hot and someone is always coming by if you need a refill. I ordered 2 eggs, hashbrowns and toast on my last visit and it's plenty of food! Red hot is already on the table so you don't need to ask for it. My son is simple and gets his chicken and waffles plain. I think ordinarily they come with gravy on them? They open at 7am on Friday, so when we go there it wasn't very busy. Only a handful of booths were filled with regulars - older folks dining alone or with friend's gossiping about the news and things going on in their lives. Pretty chill and lowkey. Music is always random too but it's never anything that bothers me or that I don't like so that's a bonus.

Absolutely ridiculous. For 5 dogs and a large root beer, it was $17. The dogs were meh. The service was not worth the tip I had to give before service was completed. Smh. I won't do that again. I had to flag down another server in order to get the tray on the window taken back so I could leave. My server never came back after she got her money.

The space is perfect for lunches, large parties, families, and date night! The margaritas look amazing. I was here for lunch, but will definitely be back for the libations! The server was efficient & attentive, always keeping our delicious chip basket & drinks refilled. I opted for the jackfruit Mexican pizza- what a pleasant variety of textures & flavors! The portions were enough to fill me up and take the rest home for a second meal. Mama's tacos were a hit at my table, a "must." The plate presentation and the fusion of foods brought me back to Southern California. I love we can find this fare here in Monroe. :) Amaya's been in this location for over ten years.
