I told them from the start that the outside service valve was leaking. Last week they said they would repair it this week - then never showed up. When I called, they said they were still "searching" for the valve. Baker in Statesboro had the exact valve for about $50. They also overcharge for Freon - $80 per pound, which is outrageous. And when I called back, they basically suggested I find someone else. Very disappointing experience. My initial inquiry, through their website, was ignored. Then, I got an appointment by phone - weeks out - and they cancelled it the week of the appointment. The technician was great but did not have the right filter to install in our system so they have to come back... A different technician returned to install the correct filter. He was careful to explain that they had charged me too little, that the filter would be almost twice the price next year, and that this cost them $40 odd dollars. And so I have fired Byrd. I am going to find a local HVAC company that does not treat their customers as an afterthought. There are literally a hundred HVAC companies in the metro Savannah area.
