The art in this place is wonderful for the ambiance. It is an upscale coffee shop with local fare and all coffee drinks. They use Lavazza coffee. The food is apportioned perfectly to start the day. The service was very attentive. There were many wait personnel attending to your needs.

Tucked into a corner at University and Avenida Ocampo, shared by the restaurant Fiume, Oliva is a sparkling and modern location for a lovely breakfast. Wait staff is helpful and attentive. The Eggs Benedict is recommended!

Wow, what a find. There is no way a gringo could ever find this place without a Mexican friends help so I thought I should let you yelpers know about it. We were only there for coffee so I can't comment on breakfast/brunch but I can tell they do it right. A fantastic setting with impeccable service. And my cappuccino was excellent. Stop and give this place some business if your in Queretaro. Fantastic!

Pretty decent Mediterranean cuisine! Wasn't a huge fan of the lamb kebabs but the chicken was seasoned pretty good.

It is expensive and the dishes are lack of flavour. For breakfast are just eggs. The atmosphere is good and the service is ok too.

Once known for its churros and hot chocolate that were sold in the evening, which sadly are no more, the restaurant still maintains its air of elegance and prestige bestowed by the characters who have dined here through the centuries. Entering the dining room is like stepping into history; the elegant furniture, paintings, and even the walls speak of another time, when the baroque was at its height in colonial Querétaro. The food matches the decor in elegance and sophistication. Both breakfast and dinner are served every day, and like the place itself, the food draws from tradition to present something inherently Mexican in a contemporary light. Breakfast offers the never absent Pan Dulce, fresh fruit juice, hot coffee, and an array of delicious omelettes, egg dishes, and other regional favorites such as chilaquiles and enchiladas for a full and satisfying meal. Dinner offers an even more elegant meal, showcasing ingredients and techniques from Mexico in a seasonal menu. A gem from centuries past, the Comedor is open to hotel guests and non-guests alike. Eating here will certainly make you feel like nobility.

On our final day of our short visit to Queretaro, we wanted a light and breakfast. We opened Yelp…read moreand found Cafe Breton, a cafe with French inspired cuisine. We started with mimosas which our waitress, Laura, told us we're 2 for the price of 1. YES, please! Laura came back with the pastry tray (pictured) and I chose the napoleon-style dessert. Then I ordered the "Petite Dejeuner" ("small breakfast"). My wife ordered the mushroom and spinach omelette. My petite breakfast was large - boiled egg (I requested hard boiled), jam, delicious crusty bread, emmentel cheese, Swiss cheese, a juice made fresh from carrots, rosemary, and other other goodies, ham, yogurt, muesli, honey, salad, house made salad dressing, fresh fruit, and more! The omelette was huge and had great flavor. It also came with some of the fresh juice and fresh fruit. SIDE NOTE: I watched as other plates were delivered to tables, and everything looked beautiful. We sat upstairs in the covered area, but there is also a downstairs area with seating if prefer to avoid the steps. Laura, was an outstanding waitress. She gave a good review of the menu, and made wonderful suggestions. She was very patient and helpful as I practiced my ordering in Spanish. I nearly forgot!! We took a slice of pear and almond tart to go. We plan to enjoy it during our bus ride to San Miguel de Allende. If you've not visited Cafe Breton, go get a table NOW! Thank me later with a juice or a cup of coffee!

We started with complimentary fresh salsas and a savory cheesy bite. Very nice! One of the salsas had a real spicy kick, which I enjoyed. Also split and shared: - Sopa de Lima, a regional chicken and lime soup. Loved this! It was a light, brothy dish, and felt very nourishing. Delicious. Also tried adding some of the fresh salsas (as suggested). - Enchiladas Mole Negro. I'm glad I tried this one! Made me feel like I've never actually had authentic mole in my life. This was really rich, with complex flavor. Was sweet as well, and savory. - Tacos Cochinita Pibil. Yummy! Loved this with the salsas as well. Which, by the way, were refilled! A friend got the grasshopper appetizer as well which turned out to be a pretty sizeable plate full. So we all got to try that as well! Not bad not bad. Not quite what I was expecting, but I was happy to try it! (I thought they'd be salty and crunchy; actually they were softer and tasted a bit tea like. Leisurely and relaxed dining. Nice drinks too. So many agua Fresca options! I got a guava lime one.
