I absolutely adore this store and whenever I'm in the area I feel compelled to stop in and see Gunnel's latest picks for fashion trends. I always enjoy catching up and hearing how the store and its owner are doing. There are very few stores that are still around for this many decades in Five Points. But Edge City has been a staple for some 46 years!!! My partner (a DA alum) remembers shopping there in the early 90s and buying his Doc Martens there. Every time I go in I find at least one thing I have to have. I once bought a very nice, unique, leather laptop case there. I've bought so much jewelry, Betsy Johnson and Tarina Tarantino pieces, unique items and gifts, purses, hair accessories, clothes, and a ton of sunglasses. I am under the impression that this place is by appointment only, but that could actually be wrong. Not entirely sure. The only time I have been here is when I went to do a fitting for a Best Buddies International event in which I would be modeling her clothes. It is very luxurious... large, well designed rooms with high ceilings and big windows house her clothes of bright colors and hip styles that are really classy and elegant at the same time as being fashion forward. Every garment is beautiful and you just want to walk through and touch everything. There is amazing jewelry, gowns, casual dresses, cocktail dresses, pants, jeans, tops, etc etc etc. She basically designs it all.
