I shamefully admit I have been here since they renovated last year (2024). It's bigger, better, and addictively charming. My daughters chose a freshie (car air freshener) for their dad. He's going to love it. Their selections of freshies is vast. Almost overwhelming, but you're welcome to open the zip-locked bags and smell the various scents. We picked up some Valentine goodies also. The young lady working solo at the register on 1.20.2025 was very professional and welcoming. TIP They offered 20% off everything that day - something I wouldn't know if I didn't "follow" them on Facebook. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

When I went in the other day to ask where the owner was moving she smiled and said it was a secret. Well, darn. I guess others had already tried sweet talking her too. Lol. She also does not have an estimated open date due to personal/health reasons that were just discovered the day before I visited. I picked up a few sweets for my sweethearts - chocolates and caramels and a jar of locally-made honey: Abdallah Individually-Wrapped Caramel = $0.76 Abdallah Valentine Individually-Wrapped Chocolates = $0.78 Hot Chocolate Stirrers = $2.00 each Beeman Honey = $15.99 This store has so many great gifts for all ages... particularly geared towards the Christian faith. Check them out before she shuts it down for a while!

Horsefeathers is a boutique on the east side of Hobbs, NM…read more It's been around forever and I'm glad to see it doing so well. When I was a teenager I remember not really appreciating all the "old lady" accessories and other items. Lol. This place now seems larger, easier to manuever in, and with many more options for gifts for loved ones than ever before. There was everything from some women's clothing, jewelry, slippers, sunglasses, and bags to kitchenware, some gourmet food items, bath bombs, other body care items, cards for every occassion, and books. Many wedding registries are created here because they also have quite an array of home decor. Not to mention several Christian faith-based items like crosses, jewelry, books, and other decor. There is a small men's section and also a baby section. I learned of a new tool for little ones while I was here back on August 5, 2023 - it's called toniebox. From the tonies website, this device is best described as "imagination-building, screen-free digital listening experience that plays stories, songs, and more." It seems like an excellent way for parents who don't want to give their children a tablet or other device to engage in listening and other important life skills. Horsefeathers was selling the starter boxes and Tonies characters for 50% off. There are many affordable gifts here plus... they offer free gift wrapping! The staff members are friendly and willing to help you - just ask if they're busy. The worst thing is their parking. There is very limited parking, but it is typically only crowded during major holidays.

What sets them apart from other boutiques in the area is their sizing. For women is starts at small and goes up 6X. There are dressing rooms. Everything is affordably-priced and super cute. I really adore their earrings--all of them! The lady working there on 6/6/2023 was very friendly & helpful. They ship anywhere in the US for a flat fee of $8. Cash App, credit, debit & cash payments are accepted.

My favorite shops: * Salon You * Holy Sheep Tea & Boba Studio * Lulu & Co * Wood Fire Pizza * 2A Tactical & Indoor Firing Range * CoalBrew Coffee Company * Dreke's Market (Cuban/Latino goods) Other available shops that I don't or no longer go to: * Luna Aesthetics * Sparkle & Shine (no clue what this is as it's always closed) * Diva Nails & Spa * Meca Therapies * Vapor Maven * Urban Wellness Premium Cannabis Free parking. Conveniently located near Tractor Supply, Ashley Furniture, another smaller shopping plaza that includes Crave Cookies & Athletique Apparel Company, and other great small businesses. TIP * Navajo Drive is one of the more well-traveled roads. As one travels west, it becomes Joe Harvey Boulevard which becomes West County Road. It's confusing, but roll with it.

*** the premiere store for Hobbs High Eagles gear ***…read more I wanted to give Eagle City Apparel in Hobbs, NM, 5 stars, but they simply weren't open when they said they would be. The lady I spoke to on the early afternoon of September 18, 2025 replied that they closed at 5:30. My oldest daughter and I returned a few minutes after 5 PM only to try a locked door. No note on the door. Such a bummer because I was hoping to get both of my girls new Eagles shirts before the traditional black and gold Friday. They had a ton of T-shirts, sweatpants, sweatshirts, hats, and more when I went in earlier today. They all seemed mostly affordable. Hopefully updating this review soon.

The reason I'm marking two stars off... 1) They tend to be on the higher end of what should be thrift store prices. 2) They are not accepting donations right now. One other place I usually go is also not accepting donations (as of January 3, 2025), but JD's has done this more than any other thrift store here and it's discouraging. In the December 27-28, 2024 edition of the Hobbs News-Sun newspaper, they quoted presumed owner Cissy Diaz, "We have our kitchen, the food pantry, the [former Fellowship of Believers] church is now a thrift store, we have a ministry home," Diaz said. "So your time, your effort, money, canned goods any of that. Non-profits you never know, but if you want to be hands on, come and join us." But they weren't accepting donations less than a week later. I don't get it. When they do accept items, the sign around the back says Donation Drop-offs are Monday, Thursday & Friday 10AM-4PM. That's where you'll drop them off. Friendly folks inside every time I show up.
