I can't help but give it four stars. The soup alone was exquisite tasting at about £1.5. It was smokey tomato based, piping hot with perfect seasoning, so I guess it had some good paprika added along with pitted green & black olives, potatoes and other vegetables.
I know very little of polish food and this place allowed me to choose from an extensive selection, you plate up what you want and it's a set price per 100g so after I poured my soup I chose a boiled dumpling, a fried dumpling, pickled mushrooms and I tried a few tablespoons of their chanterelle mushroom sauce. The sauce alone was exquisite truly 5 star by itself.
The mushrooms were clean tasting and only mildly pickled but I wouldn't be a fan. There was a wide selection of pork available but I didn't bother.
I expected I'd prefer the fried dumpling to the boiled one but I was wrong. The fried one was certainly vegetarian with boiled one with much more flavour. One things for certain they fill you you and you stay full for a long time. read more
