Authentic pierogi? Yes, please…read more There are any number of places in Poland in which to get good pierogi - and as much as I'd love the opportunity to try them all, this is the place where we landed today. It's a cozy and very colorful place, with wonderful aromas and old world charm. The service is, well, decidedly European - you can't be in a rush when you get here, and being all "American" about it won't get your food on the table any faster. I've been living in Spain for eight years now and I find table service to be quite a bit slower than in the US. Then again, they aren't chasing you out of the restaurant when you finish eating, either - they give you plenty of time to just chat with your mates and enjoy another round. As for the pierogi? I would GLADLY come back here!

This cozy underground Restaurant & Club in one boasts an excellent location right at the heart of the Old Town of Gdańsk (the extension of central 'Długa' Street) as well as honors traditional Polish Cuisine. Both visits equally bring back the memories of solely cozy moments spent in a nice 'unique' atmosphere the place itself creates. The food overall was tasty and aesthetically served, but the most delicious part I have tried there for me personally was the traditional Polish 'Sour Soup' served in a warm 'bread cottage'. Besides, I could also recommend to try an always- healthy option in the form of grilled/baked spiced fish (e.g. Baltic cod, salmon) with freshly seasoned light salads. There is also a nice selection of drinks and wines to accompany & emphasize the taste of certain foods. The staff overall was welcoming & friendly, but the best non-food attribute of the place is the Rock Club - like 'ambiance', that I could dare to admit can be unparalleled in the closest area. Those are for example the placard - like images of some of the 'Top of the Pops' 60's idols like the Beatles themselves. Plus the layout of the spaces offers some sitting area for those up for comfortable privacy letting you indulge in the softness of candlelit sofas as well as the open-space type of bar. The place is featured in the Restaurant Guide for the Gdańsk area of the 'Tricity' available at the nearest 'Tourist Information Point'.

A good burger and fries can make a bad day feel great. This burger was so good. I had the BJO, it shattered expectations. I only give a four star because I have an issue with lactose and the order arrived with cheese sauce, forcing me to send it back, I always feel like a dick when this happens. He fries were sooo good, I've never had the style of cut before but I am craving them still almost an entire day later.
