During the pandemic I'd been eying this cute little store. Due to the lockdown I'd never had an opportunity to browse. Stopped by Friday, about 5ish. There were no hours posted but there was a hand written notice directing customers to knock for entry. We knocked, twice. A woman answered and seemed irritated and somewhat hostile. Because of travel restrictions (I am in the US) I wasn't able to be at my aunts funeral, so these flowers had to be there in my place. Totally mystified by those negative reviews- they must be living on some alternate planet. Oleander is AMAZING. I have been a fan for years and there designs never cease to astound me. The floral designers are creative and beyond talented. Every time I have received my orders I have been so happy with the end result. They have great, high quality stock and put such care and detail into everything. They are very communicative and the service is very professional and friendly. 5 star customer service and product. The staff are some of the sweetest ladies I have ever met and make shopping there a real treat. They went above and beyond with the arrangements for my Grandmother's funeral recently and they were such a beautiful feature on a solemn day. When I called on the phone, I was getting choked up and the girl from Oleander was incredibly empathetic and kind with me. She made the process incredibly easy and gave me one less thing to worry about. The arrangements were incredibly fresh, exactly as we had discussed, and exceeded my expectations. My Grandmother would have loved them. All my friends and family in the area shop here and it is the number one west-end florist in our books. They have also done stunning table arrangements for me, bouquets for hostess gifts, plus they have an awesome assortment of home goods. I can't wait to get my wedding flowers done by Oleander. Extremely disappointed. Sent someone flowers for quite a bit of money and when I saw the pic I almost died from embarrassment. Never again.

So, mostly dealt with them after getting a GROUPON. After picking up the arrangement I felt mostly "meh" about it. The regular price listed was $60, with groupon it was $30 (plus tax). And I tell you honestly it was very small and had, while beautiful, but simple flowers. I wouldn't even pay $30 for it... I just went to check on their website for this "Signature" bouquet to re-check the description. and surprise!!! can't find that arrangement anymore, while it was there when Groupon was on. Did they fake the listing on the website? HMM... so many other arrangements are at the same $60 reg that look so pretty (still overpriced though). I am not completely satisfied with this, so 3 stars it is. read more

Used this florist for my wedding and was completely embarrassed. Imagine expecting a fishbowl vase filled with commercial mums and ivory, and instead receiving a fishbowl vase with 1 commercial mum floating in the bottom of it. I was very specific in the images that I sent via email and showed in our initial meeting. It completely dampened my mood for my wedding. My tables all looked so bare. I am not sure where the miscommunication occurred from what I requested to what I received. read more

Terrible paid an arm and leg and my bouquet fell apart before I even walked down the aisle. Such a waste could have done a better job myself. Oh and the manager wasn't too nice to deal with after I cut down on my flowers plenty of time before my wedding because I decided not to spend so much money on flowers so I know that's why she did a crappy job. I used this florist for my wedding and was over the top spoiled by them! It is very hard to express just how beautiful the flowers were. The details in the boutonnieres were noticed by many guests (who ever notices those?) My bouquet was amazing! I would never have thought to use Azalea blooms (I actually didn't even know about them) which was a super smart sub for the peony bouquets I coveted on pintrest. Everything in my table-centres was grown locally!!! AMAZING! I went for a natural organic look in the end and it fit my venue, my dresses and me perfectly. Everything arrived on time and since I was so nervous, it was very helpful that they showed me how to hold my bouquet properly (keep it down by your hips girls!). They helped in all those small ways that you actually don't even know to ask about (being a first time bride) After all the conversations and quotes from 3 other florist, Oleander came in at a middle price and gave me top of the line service and flowers.I LOVE the girls at Oleander and it is the cutest shop to wander into! Very poor customer service. I agree with other posters that arrangements are expensive for very few flowers and no filler. I ordered 4 arrangements for a dinner party and paid in advance. I bought my own vases to be filled with spring flowers such as tulips and greens. 3 days before I was to pick up the arrangements for the party, my spouse's grandmother died. I called oleander to advise them and asked if I could delay picking up the arrangements for about a month because we were going to reschedule the dinner until after the funeral for our grandmother. I did not request a refund, just wanted to have a credit for a few weeks later. The women on phone didn't even try to work with me but instead said she already had the product in store and "I might need some brightness in my life" after the death. Basically, she didn't give a shit and wanted to get rid of the 30 old tulips she allegedly had 3 days in advance of preparing my flowers. Since we are in spring and Easter season, I'm sure she would have been able to sell the simple tulips to walk-ins on the Thursday, Friday or Saturday as i gave her ample notice. I picked up the flowers anyways bc I was too tired to argue in light of the fact that i was planning a funeral and cancelling a dinner party for 30 people on the same weekend. My bill was $169 for 4 arrangements. Not a huge amount of money that we couldn't come to some arrangement where we were both happy. So, for $170 this place lost a customer for life. I ordered our grandmother's funeral flowers elsewhere and i will order my wedding, bridal shower and other dinner party flowers elsewhere where customers are appreciated. It's not about the money, it's called being a decent human being and having empathy for people. When I picked up the arrangements they were simple, sparse and just cut tulips in the vases. They even looked old. Maybe since they knew I wasn't going to be using them for a party they went even cheaper. Bye Felicia! Don't order here. Give your business to a better place. read more
