We purchased mohawk carpet from the olean store. The carpet had a 25 year warranty and a lifetime…read morewarranty on installation. After about two years the carpet pulled out from under the threshold. Custom carpet came out and put it back. After a few months it came out again. We had this carpet for four years now and noticed the fibers were coming out of the carpet as well. I called custom carpet and the manager came out looked at it and took pictures. I was told they would submit a claim but he was sure it would be denied because the carpet was not professionally cleaned every eighteen months. The carpet had been cleaned with our Bissell carpet cleaner(No decent carpet should come apart after four years weather you professionally clean it or not). Custom carpet lied to mohawk (if they really contacted them) and said my complaint was the carpet was crushed and matted. I never said that. My claim was denied. When I spoke with Ray in Orchard Park he didn't want to hear me out and hung up on me. They wouldn't even honor the lifetime warranty on installation where they cut the carpet short so it wouldn't stay under the threshold. Avoid custom carpet center at all cost. I will contact mohawk myself and give them the opportunity to make good.

Having heard wonderful things about the service and with a recommendation from a friend I had high expectations. Joe arrived right on time, which I appreciated, and he was friendly and took care to review everything with me, especially since the charges were quite high. For this appointment, I had a couch, loveseat (both with loose back cushions), two chairs, an ottoman, and an area rug cleaned. Joe spent about an hour and a half on the actual cleaning process, though he was here for a total of two hours. At the end of the visit, he explained that some stains, particularly those caused by my elder mom, wouldn't budge, and that the couches were heavily soiled, but he did his best. Yes, I have two dogs, the couches are dirty hence the cleaning service. In addition too coffee stains on the one chair, that the advertise to be able to take care of. After everything dried, I was unfortunately disappointed with the results, especially given the cost, $700 plus. Just to see if there was any improvement possible, I used my own little green machine with carpet cleaner. In less than 15 minutes, it collected a bucket full of filthy water, indicating that there was still a lot of dirt left behind. I understand that not all stains can be removed, but I do believe that dirt should come out during cleaning. I also attempted to clean the stained chairs myself and was able to make some progress. Because of this, I requested my area rug back, as I am unsure about their cleaning process and feel it did not meet my expectations of clean. See pictures showing the dirty water from my green machine along with a comparison of the cushions after both cleanings. I wanted to bring this to your attention and hope you won't make the same mistake and waste your money and time.
