When I moved in the apartment was so clean it looked like I was the first one to ever live there. I regularly went to the office to pay rent and the office ladies were always ready to strike up a conversation and ask how the apartment was and how your school year is going. Throughout the year I did not have anything break in the apartment but they were always there to make sure the apartment was satisfactory. The apartments are very competitively priced for the area and you get more than you pay for compared to other landlords in town. Having rented from other landlords in Charleston I would only recommend PP&W.

Many student units include most utilities and many non-student units include water, trash & internet. Looked at several of their locations and the prices are hard to beat. Great office staff, quick maintenance, easy to work with and know their business!! They charged us outrageous amounts for professional floor cleaning, dusting, not being able to move a couch, hanging back up a smoke detector (requiring nothing more than placing it back on the wall), a bobby pin being left on the floor, and other unnecessary misc. things. While most of this seems like routine cleaning charges, I wanted to note that the foundation on one side of our house was caving in under the bathroom, my roommate had an infestation of bedbugs, we found fleas due to a hole under the house that stray animals were living in, stains on the walls and baseboards from previous tenants. Oh and the "carpet cleaning" they charged 157+ for left white residue all throughout the carpet. Although this is a party town where college kids usually tear up properties, my roommates and I left the house in better condition than what we received it in. It seems to me these people are only out to take your money and could care less if you are a respectable tenant or not. If you like being scammed I would recommend renting from them, if not, there are plenty of other properties to give your income to.

Sarah Springer has consistently gone above and beyond to help me find an apartment or parking in my budget with everything I need. She is always very nice, punctual, and is eager to solve any problems I may have! Every time I call or go into the office I receive great customer service as well!
