We just moved to the area and needed to have our master bathroom remodeled. The only houses I've lived in for the last forty-five years, I've built; so I'm particular. I looked here on Yelp and decided by the reviews that Marc was the guy to call. From the beginning response time of my original call to Marc, to project completion, he and his crew have been the best - helpful making the right choices, meticulous workmanship, and clean people to work with. Their attention to detail and concern for their customer are beyond what I could have hoped for. Marc's hands-on approach shows his deep construction background; I'm sure his grandfather would be extremely proud of him. Thank you Marc, Sergio, Brian, Primo, and all the guys I didn't get to meet. One particular company that has door-to -door sales reps (Energy Star Construction) provided me with an estimate for a 200 sq ft concrete patio with pergola for 16k (He would be able to knock off 3k if I agreed to my property being a showcase; meaning people could come over and check it out or call me about it. No, thank you). The next week, I noticed Mike and his partner working on a patio down the block from me that was fabulous- cable hook-up for their outdoor TV, light scones, and fans. I asked him for contact information, and he said he would stop by for a free estimate later on in the day. When he came by, I explained to him what I was looking for and told him about the estimate from Energy Star Const., and he said he would be able to do the job for $6500. Moreover, he told me that the job that he was working on down the street was a $15,000 job. The estimate he gave me was good for 30 days, and even though I called him after that deadline, he readily agreed to do the job for me. I am very pleased with the work that was done- The color matches beautifully with the color scheme of the house and the City of Hanford inspector said they did a "really great job for [me]." By means of attempting several solutions to no avail, we have to totally tear down and redo after only 3 1/2 yrs. We realized the leaking has to be an issue under the floor......The pan was put in wrong, so it drained out around it in one of the corners! The Cloud Nine owner, Gilbert, refused to assist when I wanted to find out who installed the glass doors as we were trying to attempt to have more reap holes drilled thinking that might help drainage! His response, was, it's no longer under warranty! You don't care about warranty when your trying to fix a leaking problem damaging your floor. The attitude of the owner was uncooperative. Their Installation was not done correctly and has had cost & headaches to try to fix! No stars from my experience with Cloud Nine Construction!

Due to this rainy season, we had to wait for a dry day to prep and pour the cement. We got lucky and got two days of no rain in a row for this to happen. They prepped on a Friday and returned the next day to pour the cement. The newly poured and swept cement looked beautiful! About 4 days later, when we got another break from the rain, Victor and his crew returned to build the patio frame. It passed inspection the next morning, and they started working to finish the patio roof that same afternoon. Victor and his team work hard and are efficient. The patio was finished in two days! I was super impressed with how quickly they got it done. Unfortunately, they newly poured cement, which was less than a week old when the patio was built, had lots of surface scratches due to the equipment and general walking with work boots. This is my only regret, that we didn't wait a bit longer to start the patio. The trade-off is, we have a wonderful patio that kept us dry from the rain that started again soon after the patio was completed. Overall, I am very pleased with how our cement and patio turned out. We have a great outside space to shield us from winter rain and summer heat; I know we'll get lots of use out of this. Victor was responsive to my texts and answered all of my questions completely (and I ask a lot of questions). I appreciate his honesty and suggestions. I am glad I decided to hire Victor and his team for this big job. It turned out great! Thank you, Victor and crew!

We wanted it done right, and we weren't about to attempt it ourselves, so we shopped around, talked to a few guys, and after meeting Peter, decided to hire Dodson Builders. We ended up waiting 2 years to do the work, changing the scope of the job rather dramatically, but the folks at Dodson got things in motion as soon as we were ready. By the end of things, they'd given the entire rear side of our house a fresh look, too. Peter, the owner, is professional, engaging, and rightfully takes a great deal of pride in the quality of their work. Lisa, our project manager, was in constant contact with us throughout so that we were never more than a quick text or call away from having our questions answered. She is an absolute joy to work with. Mike is personable, adaptive, and skilled, maintaining an open dialogue throughout the work and a high level of cleanliness on the site. Luis was likewise open and friendly as we got things started. They choose and manage their subcontractors very well too, addressing problems if they came up and making sure everything turned out as promised. Here's the funny thing. Less than a year later, we're selling our house. We're crazy, I know, but that's beside the point. This place sold incredibly fast, ending in a three-way bidding war that went above what we ever thought possible, and I have no doubt that Peter's crew had a lot to do with that. They helped us turn an ordinary tract home into something unique and made the process as smooth as possible.

They knew my budget upfront was a $100k and they said they could complete the job with the targeted budget. After I paid 7k for their so call design fees, they gave me a construction price of $321k. Their design team gave me no innovative ways to lower the cost other than shrinking the size of the addition from a large bedroom to a tiny office. They knew we were expanding our home to accommodate our special needs child and I felt that they led us on with false promises, when they clearly did not want to complete the job. Our main goal, was to expand home to accommodate our special needs child so he could have his own space. Their design team did not think outside the box when I asked to give me different ideas we could accomplish this within our budget. It was very disappointing that they gave me back my same designs I originally gave them. DODSON BUILDERS CONSTRUCTION miss lead their customers by saying "yes, we can complete your remodel within your budget but you have to pay a non-refundable 7k" when DODSON Builders knew they were going to over charge their customers. Please think twice before going with them.
