They operate an eat all you like menu, which if I remember rightly is about 14 pounds per head. For this, you are allowed to choose a certain amount of dishes, which you can then share with the other diners. if there is one you particularly like, they just bring more if you ask. The food is served to your table rather than being buffet style, which makes it more personal. The service is excellent, and they are very attentive. The only criticism I have is that they used to charge for service each time they brought a drink to the table, which racked up the bill. The bar was literally next to our table on one occasion, but they discouraged us from getting up to go to the bar. However this is a great restaurant, probably the best chinese I have been to in the area.

Hitchin isn't awash with Chinese restaurants but this is the best of them. It's situated on the…read moresecond floor (you access via a flight of stairs) in the Hight street just off the market square. You can dine a la carte if you wish but most opt for the 'all you can eat' option where they literally keep bringing you plate after plate of food until you cry 'no more' and stagger out of the premises groaning. It's a fixed price for this option - £15 from memory - but the food is lovely and it's a really good deal for a night out. Other reviewers have commented on the drink prices and I'd have to agree - if you don't watch it you'll end up spending more than you intend and with lots of salty chinese food on the table it's easy to swill back the booze rather quickly.

Told this to staff and they didn't care. The staff constantly keep trying to take your plates away when people are still eating, so rude. Having been there many many times before this was the last visit, party of 8 people all disappointed. All 8 of us also used the place separately with our families. So they have lost around 27 customers. Yes we complained to the staff about the duck and luke warm food and the large man I think manager was rude, wouldn't listen, talked over us when we tried to explain. Disgusting customer care goodbye dragon king. We have all been to wus family chinese in stevenage since outstanding place and staff, wake up dragon king your name will never be mentioned in a positive way again

The crispy seaweed is lovely, as are the duck and pancakes. The puddings are nice and the staff are very friendly. It is very popular for birthday parties and is a fun atmosphere. It isn;t fine dining but it doesn't pretend to be. It offers good value for money and the decoration is good and clean. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because the staff are a little too attentive almost taking your plate from you as you spoon your last bit of food in, which can be off putting.

14/5/24 This place…read morewas recommended to me by a couple I met in a local pub, well, I hope I got to the right place. The interior was quite basic, but there wee a good number of people inside. I decided to test with the fish dish on the menu for two reasons@ 1. I like fish, and I like monkfish. 2. Monkfish is a difficult fish to cook. When I complained at the end of the meal, I said: The fish was overcooked and rubbery. The rice was very dry and rice on top was hard, I left most of this. The sauce was nice and had a bit of heat. The meal arrived in less than 12 minutes from ordering. I also said that I didn't feel it was freshly cooked, but the manager assured me that it had been. My observations: The fish was cooked from frozen, as you cannot have it waiting defrosted on the off-chance it will be ordered. Ergo, it must have been frozen. Due to this it was overcooked. I'm still wondering if it was actually monkfish as the pieces were exceptionally thin. The manager admitted that they cannot cook sticky rice fresh and it had been put in a microwave to heat up. This is what caused the dryness and the crust of hard rice on top. I'd allege that the fish was put in the pan on a high heat and then the sauce added. The fish hadn't taken on any of the flavour of the sauce. In all I felt the main course was expensive give what I received. I did tell them that I would send them a link to my review. I will not be returning and if I bump into that couple I met, I'll tell them about my experience. I paid in full except for any service charge. Pint of Singha Beer - £6.00 Panang Monkfish - £19.50 Sticky Rice - £4.90

Our group decided to give this local Thai spot a shot while staying in Stevenage…read more Though the decor was inviting and made the place seem like it'd be a good choice, it was anything but. First, there were some positives. The cocktails were pretty good here, with an excellent espresso martini and mai tai, and I was disappointed not to try the specials. The food on the other hand was definitively not good. Our mains were the chicken pad Thai, and pad see yew, the chicken in both was incredibly bland and tasteless, with the pad Thai being over sweet and lacking any depth. We also ordered the mushroom Tom yum which was far too sour (though it was packed to the brim with mushrooms). Having been to Thai restaurants all over the world, this one firmly stands near the bottom of the list. Would not recommend.
