They are fairly new. They haven't started offering their draft beers yet. They do have live music and decent crowd.

Stopped at Weathered Ground Brewery and we were not the only ones…read more A lot of local people enjoying a Sunday get together and also outdoorsy people, some with wheelers and maybe some with hiking in mind. Great location and the service from Mandy was very helpful. We had excellent beer choices that paired well with taste buds and the pizza. Beer choices were the Amber Gone Nuts. Enniskillen, which is a stout and Sour Kid which is a prickly pear and guava sour. Highly recommend here it is only a 5 mile drive from the interstate and I can hike it out of our vehicle anytime. Love the decor with the addition of local art which is for sale, which adds to the love of WV craftsmanship and spirit.

My husband and I stopped in here for dinner and some beers last month while we were in town hiking…read moreat New River Gorge with our dogs. We sat outside at the picnic tables so we could watch the Pacers game without our phone being too loud on the back patio and annoying other guests and to let the dogs chew on some bones and have plenty of room to sprawl out. We split a pizza and cheese curds and each had a side salad. The salads were HUGE and super fresh, we both loved them and it was a nice balance to the pizza and cheese curds. The pizza was thin and crispy and just what we wanted after a long day on trails. And you can never go wrong with cheese curds (it was also a huge portion). We each LOVED our beers! I had a sour gose and my husband had an IPA. We only did a couple of beers there because it was cold outside and we didn't want to stay super late, but I would go back here in a heartbeat. We were going to stop in and buy some canned beers to take back to Indy with us before we left town, but ended up not being able to because they are closed on Tuesdays. I hope to see them at Total Wine & More or as a guest tap at another brewery one day so we can have them again.

We enjoy visiting local breweries and decided to stop in at AFOG on a Sunday evening at 6:30pm…read moreafter calling and confirming their hours. The brewery was easy to find and we originally thought it was housed inside an old school building but later learned it was previously a health services building. In addition to AFOG, there are also residential apartments in the remaining adjoining part of the building. There is a large outdoor area where a birthday celebration was happening amongst a small group. We proceeded inside and were immediately greeted by Sam. She helped me identify the IPA options and i immediately chose their Millennial Serum, which is a hazy imperial style that I enjoy. We looked around a bit, snapped some photos and looked at their swag. I'm a big tie dye guy and I was happy to see they had a great selection of AFOG tie dye shirts in my size. We decided to sit at the bar while I enjoyed my beer and chatted about our day. We also enjoyed talking with Sam and learning more about the brewery. We learned they are soon opening their second location in Buchanan, Virginia. Great stop, we felt welcomed, the beer was delicious and I have a new tie dye that will remind me of our time in Roanoke.
