I've lived in Port Hope for 5 years. In all that time, I've dismissed and avoided the women's…read moreclothing stores because I was sure - SURE - that no store would have my size and, if they did, no selection and no real interest in serving me. That assumption ended last Saturday. Frankly, it was completely trashed! From my first, hesitantly made, phone call to G Facey Clothing to check the availability for larger sizes, to the change room, TJ and Stephanie made me feel welcome, important, valued, and... dare I say it... "normal". (I can't be sure but I think TJ even adjusted the store temperature so I didn't become a sweaty mess trying on several - SEVERAL! - of the options she suggested.) In larger chain stores, too often I was ignored, dismissed, or left to struggle to find options (and sweat through size and style changes) alone. NOT at G Facey. I was shopping for 2 outfits for Christmas parties. After my phone call, Stephanie put aside some options and when I dropped by TJ found SEVERAL more pieces that looked great. Even more surprising, TJ was happy - HAPPY! - to order in other items she thought I should consider. They also have shoes - I bought a super snappy pair to complete one outfit... and jewelry. I felt so good that, in effort to escape "leggings hell", I even tried on jeans (an unheard of occurrence) for more casual events! The personal service, attention to detail, and commitment to finding outfits for me (without breaking the bank) was beyond anything I've experienced in awhile. I left looking great and feeling good for the first time in a long time. REGARDLESS of your size, I encourage you to check G Facey out! TJ and Stephanie know their stuff! I can't recommend G Facey highly enough. A caution: shop fast! I loved everything and look forward to becoming a regular customer.

I often leave the store with a few more outfits than I planned to buy because there are just so many flattering pieces that I can't choose. I left there quite happy with purchases, as I always do.

So very impressed not only by the talented artistic designs for every pierce of their products. The little thoughts into the display of every corner/ spot of the store is very appreciated and adored as well. The positive vibrant colors with the fashion design would stimulate the cheerful and confident inner self. Such lovely styles with beautiful surprises everywhere makes the shopping experience quite pleasant. The designer, Carolyn Scatterfly, is right there in the store doing the sewing and design there. Every single piece of attire shows an interesting marriages of both modern upscale & old fashion muses. And the quality of the clothings are so tender to the skins you will just easily fall in love with. Did I mention the price is quite reasonable? What a wonderful sunny day and what a beautiful store I will highly recommend. Such a hidden gem in this historical building. Lovely. Lovely! Lovely

The mall has many stores that features technology, dental, food, clothing, athletic needs, and more. Landsdowne place is a hangout for teens and a great way of spending your day with your family and friends because the special thing about this mall is that it's a better experience when you are not alone. There are bus stops around the mall which grants you access to public transportation with ease so you can arrive to the mall, and return to your home or where your next stop is. The bike racks are available but there are not many but it's good enough. The service is great as there are security guards to help you out that walk around the mall to ensure that nothing bad is going on. The overall atmosphere is great as people are willing to help and the employees of different stores are friendly and also willing to assist you in any possible way. I would greatly recommend this to anybody who wants to come in a group or just a pair to enjoy and shop with no problems.

NEVER GET YOUR NAILS DONE AT THIS MALL I SWEAR YOU'll REGRET IT!!!!!…read more If they're horrible lack of customer service doesn't drive you away, their need to throw "extra cost" any chance they get and their ignorance will! I mean they literally just tried to have me pay $2 PER ACCENT NAIL!? Idk about you ladies, but never in my years of having my nails done have I been asked for extra simply for painting a different colour on a certain nail. This was after them insisting I pay an extra $5 for "length" even though I requested SHORT ACRYLIC NAILS. I am just beyond floored. It's unfortunate Peterborough has 0 standards and no good salons. Save yourselves ladies.

I used to love this store. For years, I would come to this store for supplies, in part because they…read morewere fun to poke around and they had no competition ten years ago. I won't likely be coming back, after a recent incident. I was shopping with my best friend. We were dressed down, particularly for a weekday, because we were off from work. She had shown some interest in some Opal jewelry and asked a sales woman if she could open the case. 'It's really expensive," the sales woman warned. "That's okay," my friend responded, "I'm actually a huge fan of opals, so I am well aware of their market price, plus artistry mark-ups." That should have been the end of it: the sales woman warned the customer, and the customer acknowledged it - in this case, by pointing out that she had prior experience with the high price of opals and opal jewelry. The sales woman wouldn't let it go. She kept ragging on her that the price was incredibly high, even after handing her the piece and showing her the price... ... To which my friend told her the price might be high for some people, but for an opal piece that size and especially with the labour and artistry in the setting, the price was only two-thirds what she was expecting. Nope, even after that comment, she continued on about whether my friend could afford it. It's because we're not skinny and dressed down, which we did since we'd be walking and shopping in the summer heat. She just kept insinuating that she couldn't afford it, presumably based on her appearance. Well, appearances are deceiving because my friend is actually a diplomat who makes multiple times that of a sales woman (I assume she's not a manager because a manager would never be that rude), even more if she goes somewhere with hazard pay and watched friends/colleagues get hurt in Afghanistan while she, by mere luck, remained unscathed. She not only could afford it, but she has earned respect for noble reasons; respect clearly was not what she was getting. However, she is a diplomat and, with only a look, got me to keep my mouth shut. She did not tear down that sales girl like I was about to do. She made her purchase as no snob is going to stop her and we left. Of course, she then pointed out that Tribal Voices now has competition: the only way the remain deserving of our money is if they remain a cut above, which they clearly are not. Their rudeness and judgment has lost them at minimum two customers. They may have lost more as we certainly told our friends of the incident.
