Staff very friendly and helpful. I don't like that they moved. They are COVD compliant.

I had been a customer of Teachers Credit Union (TCU) for almost 10 years before they were bought…read moreout/started calling themselves Everwise a couple months ago. 3 times (during 2016-2018) TCU turned my debit card off while I was on vacation twice and once when I was in my home area of Michiana. To say that I was angry is a huge understatement. It should absolutely be ILLEGAL for any banking institution to take away my access to MY MONEY UNLESS THEY HAVE CLEAR PROOF OF ONGOING FRAUD AGAINST MY ACCOUNT! Well, this past weekend it happened again! I was at home trying to buy something for $22 from the JC Penny website and TCU/Neverwise turned off my card WITHOUT MY KNOWING IT! The transaction was blocked BUT I DIDN'T KNOW MY CARD HAD BEEN COMPLETELY TURNED OFF!!! Imagine my anger and embarrassment when I was in a restaurant the next day AND I COULDN'T PAY FOR MY MEAL BECAUSE MY CARD WAS DECLINED!!! I immediately called TCU/Neverwise and went nuclear on them. The person tried to explain that they have "security algorithms and metrics" that flag some transactions as suspicious. The more she talked the madder I got! I told her DON'T EVER TURN MY CARD OFF WITHOUT CALLING ME FIRST AND CHECKING WITH ME TO SEE IF IN FACT THERE IS A PROBLEM! So, a WARNING FOR ANY PRESENT OR POTENTIAL TCU/Neverwise customers, they have a PROVEN HISTORY of turning off peoples cards and denying customers access TO THEIR OWN MONEY!!!

I am just sick over what Circle Federal Credit Union has done (or not done) to me/us…read more In short, after multiple desperate attempts to gain ANY sort of clarity and/or answers regarding my account, I am left disappointed, frustrated and quite frankly - just tired of dealing with Circle. Not a single staff member is able to sensibly explain why I am being charged $1000+ dollars in NSF fees - not only when my account shows that I have a POSITIVE balance, but also even AFTER I was told by their Branch Manager, Tracy, the overdraft service would be disabled and overdraft would no long be an option. After excessive (what feels like) pleading, they agreed to refund LESS than half of the charges (assuming partial responsibility), however have completely ignored and refused any further attempt to recover the remaining inappropriate fees - and continue to blindly charge the account. With no answers, a negative balance and no place left to turn - I elected to reach out CEO, Susan Larson, (multiple times) with my concerns, providing more than sufficient evidence - and no response. At this point, I ultimately feel as though I have no other choice but to pursue things legally. Last, but certainly not least - my father is a former GNCFCU/Circle FCU board member of 40+ years, and to say I was proud to become a member (years ago myself) is an understatement. Today, I am sad, frustrated, stressed, and exhausted from "dealing" with them and this mess. If I can leave you with any piece of, worthy and useful advise today - DO NOT EVER CONSIDER DOING BUSINESS WITH CIRCLE FEDERAL CREDIT UNION. Please see photos for reference Thank You.

Since UFCU merged with First Resource Federal Credit Union, their customer service and respect for…read moremembers who have been with them for a long time, has gone down hill. They are not applying my car payments to my auto loan, they charge an "ignore variance" fee twice a month and have not explained what that is, they will not work with you when you are on disability and they are just very nasty anymore. I have a lot of family members and friends who bank with them. Most of them are reconsidering banking with UFCU. They are not what they used to be.

4 years ago, the wife and I opened an account at United because their interest checking offered…read more6.01% annual interest. No one, and I mean, no one, offered that. We actually went to a local bank (I live in Texas) and were looking to refinance our home and the guy asked us why we didn't open a personal account with them. We said, "Our money is in an checking account with high interest." "Oh yeah? We have that too. What rate are you getting?" Us: "6%." *silence with his mouth agape* Him: "Where are you getting that? You can't even get guaranteed interest in the market right now." We talked some more and the guy wanted to know the bank so he could open an account there. So for 4 years, up until this past week, we had a United FCU account and were pretty happy with it. Currently their interest rate is 1.85%. To get that, you need to have at least one automatic deposit to the account each month and 10 debit card transactions. It wasn't too hard to get that, but it was sort of a hassle since we normally used our other credit cards with rewards on our normal purchases. We once went in there and withdrew a bunch of $1 bills and put $20 bills on both ends of the stacks and the tellers gave us the associated $1000 bill straps to wrap the bills in. Hilarious when someone opens a briefcase and thinks he's looking at $20k. We even had a little money sack that we drew a dollar sign on for him to stash the cash. So much fun. So we're done with United FCU, but we did enjoy our stay. It was time to consolidate our accounts and having one out of state just wasn't convenient anymore. Thanks for the good times!
