The oyster appetizer (sold as six or twelve) can be raw or grilled. I adore them raw, and these are Bluepoints! They were plump, glistening, and had a great sweet and briney flavor. My husband's gumbo was thick with rice and andouille sausage, with baby shrimp. It also had a powerful black pepper kick. Very tasty! The boil arrived on a stainless steel platter in a large plastic bag, ballooned out with steam. We had chosen the butter, medium spicy. I thought the saltiness overpowered the flavor of the seafood, but your mileage may vary. Combo C had so much food we took a third of it home! We really enjoyed our meal here!

We ordered the cajun mix for crawfish and snow crab and garlic butter snow crab. All the boils are doused full of butter flavored oil (not real butter) which didn't allow for any flavor to reach your tongue or the meat. I may be spoiled with real Louisiana and Texas crawfish and seafood boils but the oil was so unpleasant. The crawfish was oily, flavorless, and tasted dirty. The crab was probably presalted and just reheated in the boil. I asked for some cajun seasoning and salt to sprinkle on top but there was just too much oil. I am disappointed with this type of boil and hope I can find a more traditional type with no oil somewhere in Buffalo.

I often eat at this restaurant. I like all the outdoor seating and it's so nice to be right by the…read morewater. There are a number of problems that I forget about every time I go, so I wind up going back again. First is not there fault but the bugs are out of control so if sitting outside your sharing your meal with many many bugs. The next problem is there menu never changes, and it only has like 10 items. For an outdoor summer place you think they would have a salad on their menu, but they don't. The best dish is their stuffed pepper soup, but who wants soup when it's 80-90 degrees outside. The drinks are good, I've never had a problem with them. The price is high, way too high for the food you get, but you are paying for the views and the waterfront, still too high. If you have a problem management is good getting back to you, but the servers are not great, they aren't very friendly, and the one time I had a problem (my fault) my husband paid by card and went to the bathroom so I threw $100 in the bill envelope. The waitress never said anything and when we got home we realized what happened. They refunded us, but the waitress should have told us and not pocketed a $100 "tip", but like I stated management got back to us right away. All in all I know I will return, my kid likes the view and it is nice to sit by the water with a cocktail in the summer heat.

Don't know if I'll be coming back anytime soon.
