Today is 3rd day in a row I'm here at 8 am since the hours of operation state 8-5 and ain't nobody here ! The wash is great but my grey car is now green and most people work and have to get here when they can so today I sit it's now 8:15 and I will be late for work Many other options on this area so will have to take my business elsewhere when it's convenient for me to get a wash ! I needed an oil change, got on their website, saw they were open until 6PM, and downloaded one of their coupons. I got there at 5:10PM - no one was there. Someone from the carwash told me the oil change closes at 5PM. I showed him the coupon which says very clearly they close at 6PM. He started making excuses like "Oh, that's an old coupon" - I had downloaded it just minutes before, and "Oh looks like you need a carwash". It would have been nice if he had said something like, "I'll have to bring that to the attention of the manager", but no. I returned the next day at 4PM and had a nice experience with the gent doing the oil change - friendly, brought to my attention that one of my headlights was out (I never would have noticed). Stopped here today for a wash. Car went through and as I exited the wash, I noticed a piece of the cloth from the car wash got stuck between the fender and hood. I motioned to the guy, just wanting to know if the trim on my car had come off. I was in no way blaming their equipment but asked because my car was in an accident and a month ago had to go back to the auto body place because it looked liked the trim was separating. I had asked the auto body place if it was ok to go thru a car wash, which they said it was. When I went to ask the guy at the car wash, his rudeness really surprised me. He motioned with his arms to calm down (I was not upset, just trying to ask him a question but he kept talking over me), he yells at me to give him a chance, and when he went to remove the piece of the material from where it was caught, he shows it to me, and then flips it the air, giving me a look. Then he tells me he was eating his lunch (at 3:15) and he was doing me a favor drying the car. As he went to finish drying my car, still making faces at me, I said "enough - I'm done here" and left. What a rude, obnoxious man. They are expensive but you don't mind if they do a good job and are pleasant but not when you have to put up with this guy's rudeness. Not sure who he thought who he was! As a resident of Dumont, this is the nearest, quickest, and efficient car wash for me. I have visiting this place at least once a month for past two years. It is open all 7 days, including Sunday which is a big plus. The two guys I always see, are very nice and do an excellent job for servicing all the car. They offer variety of wash, starting from very basic one called Express ($10), next one is with polish wax Deluxe ($12), followed by Works wash ($18) which I always purchase, includes wheel blaster and wax ass well. The most expensive plan is the Ultimate wash ($24) that comes with interior cleaning. They have self cleaning area right next to the car wash, that has vacuum and interior cleaning supplies. They cost between $1-$1.50. So, I usually stop here, after the car wash, do a vacuum and use the Armor all Sponge to clean my dashboard and surrounding leather. Combining all of it costs around $21, which eventually becomes cheaper than $24 wash. They also sell ticket books of 10 express wash for $80 (20% cheaper), and monthly plan of unlimited "Works wash" for $35. Old Hook Car Wash is the Best. Felix & Miguel man the wash, and they take extra care of the cars. Tey look for visible dirt and debris and give it an extra once over before you enter the wash. ....Ride on through and meet Miguel on the other end.....he always goes above and beyond with the buff dry. You can also meet Duke, the master of the garage -- and if you need a quick oil change he is the one to see. In and out in 10? You bet! Marilyn is behind the counter -- she is sugar sweet and if you catch her on a really good day, she will make you laugh harder than ever. She is the best. I buy the monthly package - $35 per month for UNLIMITED washes -- and I just love going here to keep my car super clean -- and to see the workers too. For $16 my car shouldn't come out with the wheels still looking like this...I mentioned it to the attendant who dried my car and he couldn't care less. My car always looks good, and the guys are always so kind. I decided to buy a monthly unlimited pass because they always did such a great job. When I got inside the office to purchase the pass after my wash, my good experience ended. Marilyn the woman at the desk was a nasty, unprofessional, rude person. I had simply asked if all they needed all the information on the "application" for the pass. She was extremely short and dismissive. I was very close to walking out, but I knew I wouldn't have to see her again. I probably won't renew my monthly pass because of this. read more

If you have a large SUV please be careful. When I first bought my Tahoe I was told by friends to wash it at home, or go to a hand wash. Being a bit lazy, how bad can it be? Well after going to Old Hook car wash many times, and buying their monthly unlimited car washes, I noticed the "brushless" equipment was scratching the hell out of my hood and front top of my roof. I have since stopped going there, and washing my truck at home when I get a chance. It is going to take a lot of compound and wax work to remove or hide these scratches, if not a new paint job on the sections of the truck. My wifes car is fine, it's smaller and doesn't have any issues. This is not meant to stop customers from going here, just an FYI for people having larger SUV's and possibly dealing with damage due to these larger vehicles. WARNING THIS IS THE WORST CAR WASH IN NEW JERSEY!!! I'm going to make this short and sweet... I went there to wash my car and first things first when I went there I was told I couldn't go in because I have an antenna on my car then he told me he can get a wrench from one of the mechanics to take it off or I can leave..... I obviously chose to take it off so when he removed my antenna and threw it in my car the guy without a care in the world who is by the way semi bald can sense I was pissed at him so he directed me into the car wash and then I felt a sudden bump... I wanted to check to see if my wheels were scratched because he directed me WRONG ON PURPOSE but he wouldn't let me get out of my car to check... finally when the was was done without even CARING THAT MY CARS ANTENNA WAS STILL REMOVED I MYSELF HAD TO GO TO THE MECHANIC MYSELF ASK FOR THE TOOL MYSELF AND REINSTALL A PART THAT THE CAR WASH IDIOT TOOK OFF IN THE FIRST PLACE!!! Worst I mean WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE EVER!!! Also did I mention how when my car was done in the car wash can you guess? Oh yeah I was greeted with a big deep scratch on my wheel that I'm sure was done on purpose!! I come here at least once a week for the works wash. Nice guys! My car doesnt need an interior cleaning weekly but they offer it for a little bit more or you can use the vauums around the side if needed. Quick & easy. read more

Horrible. Went to have my car washed and paid $15 for just an outside cleaning which was still extremely wet and dirty when I left. To top it off, they made me get out of my car inside the car wash (really slippery and unsafe) and directed me to a building down because I was paying with a credit card. At least have a sign up before I pull in. Never coming here again. read more

Very unprofessional!! I came for the first time today after work at my new job. I am from out of town and I will have to say I will never come back here! They tried to argue that my car was not in neutral when In fact it was that i had to show the guy directly while they proceeded to yell at me making no sense as to whether the car should continue or not. They could barely be heard over the noise and then you couldn't even understand them and I'm Hispanic myself at that!! Not to mention when the car went through the wash the one guy yells at the other that is was a detail as well and then they both proceeded to throw up their hands and get all mad in Spanish WHICH I UNDERSTOOD VERY WELL WHAT THEY WERE B******* about! Umm never again! If you don't want to do your job then don't choose that job to work at because last time I checked this is your job description if you choose to work at this type of establishment!! I asked the older lady inside for a coupon to the car wash and she said, "I don't know you." I explained I got my oil changes there and knew they had a stack of coupons in the office/ payment area. She wanted me to give her my license plate number so she could look it up in their system. She must be the owner or the owner's mother and she is nasty. Horrible. Bought monthly wash package on 2/28, they only give you 28 days to use as called month package. And they tried to charge you for the first wash when you bought monthly package. They have different rates, but whatever you buy is always the basic wash. Don't go this one. They rob the money as much as they can. read more

I have a Ford Edge and two out of the last three times I have been there the rotating "brushes/fabric have not touched the right side of my car! To top it off they dried my windows with dirty rags so they looked worse when I left that when I arrived. Ugh! read more

I went here to get my oil changed and had such a positive experience. They did great work, and told me that my car was programmed wrong (I apparently was getting ripped off and getting my oil changed too often at my old place). They weren't pushy and didn't try to sell me on various services as often is the case at other places. Will only get my oil changed here from now on. read more
