This casual cafe restaurant located on Main Street in Micanopy offers a lot of old Florida charm. The very eclectic atmosphere of the indoor/outdoor eating establishment under oak trees featuring antique decor, signs and trinkets to view while waiting for your food. I ordered at the counter the Double Grilled Cheese $9.95 and the homemade fresh Blueberry Cheesecake $5.50. Everything was delicious. It did take a while for the food to come out but did enjoy the quaint little town.

Don't miss this friendly and delicious stop in the cute and quiet downtown historic Micanopy. We were driving between Crystal River and Jacksonville and stopped at the Old Florida Cafe for lunch. We had the Cuban, black beans and rice, and a slice of homemade key lime pie. It was all delicious! We loved the old decor, chatting with the owner and staff, and easy vibes of this place!

A wonderful place to stop for delicious food and local flair! The restaurant is not far off I-75 and it is definitely worth visiting. The restaurant is quaint with counter service and food delivered to your table, whether you sit indoors or outside. The restaurant is decorated with antiques (many of them are for sale) and it's quite charming. The staff is super friendly and willing to accommodate any special request you may have. They will even make you items that aren't on the menu, like salads, if you ask. We visited for lunch on a Wednesday, and I'm so glad we did. My wife enjoyed a "perfectly pressed" Cuban Sandwich sans mustard (by her request) while I enjoyed the Mojo Pork Meal. The large portion of pork was moist and tasty, and sat atop a large bowl of perfectly cooked black beans and yellow rice. There was no way I could eat all of this for lunch, so I took 1/2 with me for dinner. By the way, they also have a great selection of hot sauces. I chose a sauce called Tabanero from Delray Beach, FL. It worked really well with the beans and rice. I highly recommend Old Florida Cafe for lunch while traveling. I'm looking forward to returning next time we're in town.

Quaint cafe in historic Micanopy. Most of the seating is on the patio. There are 4 or 5 tables inside. Order at the counter and they bring the food out. Have a few sandwich options, beans & rich and delicious-looking homemade desserts. Side options are coleslaw and bags of chips. I had the Cuban sandwich and a sweet tea. The sandwich was very good and came with a pickle spear. They have a few shelves of antiques for sale, even the bathroom walls have art for sale.

I got the big container to-go, and I am glad I did; it's two good meals!! The curry chicken was cooked to PER FEC TION!!!!!!!!! So tender and juicy, and the curry flavor was on point, and the rice was from a dream! I mean this food is amazing!! You know so much love was put into it!! She was unwelcoming and acted like we were inconveniencing her just by being there. The food was mediocre at best. The rice was bland and the pork was dry and hard.

However, I came in on a Tuesday evening, and unfortunately, my experience with our server, Esteban, was very uncomfortable. When we first sat down, he did not come over to ask what we would like to drink. Instead, he stood there and stared at me very awkwardly for about a minute, which made me feel very uncomfortable. After he eventually brought our drinks and food, he did not come back to check on us for almost two hours. Then, right as he saw that we were getting ready to leave, he came over to take our payments. He did not say anything or clarify whether we were splitting the check. He went directly to my friend and had her pay, and we later realized that she had paid for both of us. At that point, it was already very late, so we did not complain or say anything. However, I truly felt uncomfortable throughout the entire experience. It was not just the lack of checking on us, but also the fact that he barely spoke to us, never communicated with us, and never made any effort to make us feel welcomed or comfortable during our visit. I want to emphasize that I have never been treated this way at Mi Apa before, which is why it is unfortunate that I feel the need to bring this to your attention. I have always had a positive experience here, so I hope this feedback can be helpful in some way. Thank you for taking the time to read this and for hearing me out. I hope this helps in any way.

For the ham and cheese tostada I could stop in every day. That bread is so heavenly. Crisp on the outside and soft a d fluffy inside. It soaks up the flavors from the ham and gives it the most delightful taste. Normally I like some kind of condiment on a sandwich but the way the ham flavors the bread leaves that tostada needing nothing at all. It is perfection. I paired it with a cafe bombon for a little treat. If you have t tried their cafe bombon you must. A shot of espresso over condensed milk is just what the coffee addict ordered. Service-10/10. It's counter service here but they don't just serve you and forget you. After bringing my coffee she noticed I didn't have napkins so went and got them for me. She brought my food later and brought me more napkins and checked to see if I needed anything else. They were so hospitable from the moment I entered until the moment I left. Atmosphere-10/10. I love the decor here. It's gives an open and welcoming vibe and is so bright and airy feeling.
