This place is small (about the size of a single-wide trailer), cramped (the bar takes up half of the available space), unwelcoming (the wait-staff treat you like an unwelcome visitor) and has uncomfortable/minimal seating. Half of the "seats" are small, cushioned ottoman-type cubes. Whatever you do, do NOT place your calves on them. The staff freaks out-- even though everybody else sitting on them has their hind-end on them. So, in conclusion, if you enjoy being cramped, uncomfortable and paying too much for overpriced drinks, this is the place for you! Ah, btw, if there are more than 2 other people in there, you won't be able to hold onto your menu-- they were "short on menus", so they must only have three. Absolutely amazing. I went here with some colleagues twice because the first time was so amazing. The drinks and the bar tenders are astounding. Great experience at this bar with Bruno and Luca. They were so helpful and friendly with restaurant recommendations and making a special off the menu drinks based on what I like. We came in before dinner so there were not many people there. We got to know both bartenders who are the owners. I love watching them make drinks because you can see the art in the way that they make their drinks. It is always so amazing to see people's passion in the work that they do even if it is mixing a drink at the bar. My husbands was able to try different whiskey and scotch. Luca the owner was there along with 4 other servers. The service is exceptional as well as the drinks. Order anything you want and they make it for you. Very small, quaint and comfortable spot for before dinner or after dinner drinks. Lovely soothing background music. Definitely a stop in your travels. Small bar, but if you arrive before or around 10pm you will probably find a place to sit. It Is down an alley behind Passaig de Gracia. We were greeted almost as soon as we walked in, and handed a menu. They also have free WiFi for tourists who may need it. I had a passion fruit mojito, Japanese democracy, and a south side. You have to try a gin cocktail if you come here, and if you don't know anything about gin, the bartenders will be happy to help you. The cocktails take on average 5 minutes to make, depending on what you order. That's the level of care and craft that goes into this speakeasy bar. read more

This is an absolute diamond in a city full of gems! Unbelievable cocktails and a staff of seasoned bartenders. Chock full of great bourbon and other spirits. These guys know how to make drink. However, this is a VERY small bar. We're talking 15ft x 15ft. We went on a Saturday night around 5:30pm and were able to grab one of the 8 seats at the bar. It quickly filled in after that. Damn. So good! Excellent gin tonics (my wife said it was the best she'd ever had), and excellent classic cocktails. I had a rye old fashioned, and it was made right - no club soda, no muddled fruit. Old. Fashioned. Not the deepest selection of rye, but solid (Bulleit, Old Overholt, Rittenhouse, James Pepper 1776). I wasn't really expecting to find a lot of rye here, so I was pleasantly surprised. They have an excellent selection of liquor, very friendly and attentive service, and the space is small but fantastic. Drink here, especially if you're in the neighborhood. read more

This was my favorite cocktail bar of all that I visited while in Barcelona. The collection of alcohol here is impressive. If you want a cocktail made from the best ingredients go here. They had a VERY impressive collection of Kentucky Bourbons, nice tequilas and an assortment of other alcohols that seemed like novelties or difficult to acquire. The bartenders are extremely welcoming, friendly and eager to please. They also obviously love their work and know what they are doing behind the bar. Last but not least, they were rocking out to the perfect 80's music station which appears to be a standard for local listening in Barcelona. The selection of gin from all over the world is to die for and they make amazing G&T, as well as great cocktails. To be honest it was not what I expected. However, we got there no problem a stones throw from the nearby subway stop. The place is tiny, by tiny I mean there was 5 seats at the bar and three tables enough for 15 or so. It was a two person show, the bartender and the hostess/waitress. It has an awesome vibe. The staff is so nice and accommodating. The drinks are superb, literally, unreal. I heard the person next to me say, "hey I'm here because I heard you have the best Old Fashions in Barcelona. The bartender is incredibly talented and he puts on a show for every drink he makes. The feel is great. Great music, awesome, detailed, talented menu made real for all who enter. The staff welcomes everyone with a "hola, hello, welcome." Cocktails are from 7-10 euro, its worth it, sit down with your friends or significant other, each get two drinks and take in the show. I stumbled upon this cute mixology bar while walking around Gracia. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and remembered me each night that i returned. A major difference between the states and spain is customer service, which was not lacking at Old Fashioned. The service is superb! Old Fashion is awesome. It is the best place in Barcelona to go to for drinks and the only place I went to more than once! It is a great place for locals and people from out of town. This place was one of my favourite experiences in my 45 days in Europe. I was travelling alone and the boys at the bar were super kind and incredibly welcoming. They made me the best drinks i've ever had in my life. Those are some mighty talented and dedicated bartenders. My tip, skip the menu and just tell them what you're in the mood for, and they will make something spectacular for you.
