This is a collection of traditional buildings which house stables for four massive Clydesdale Horses. The structural complex itself is interesting to walk past and have a look as this was the location of an older (smaller and simpler) version of the more modern - a.k.a 1752 - Pollok House which now stands in the distance.
Hence, there is some interesting history to the location and previous uses of this site for all the historians among you. Or, of course, people with social interest in Pollok Country Park and its previous inhabitants.
Meanwhile, the four Clydesdale horses continue to heighten the Park's attractiveness to visitors and tourist. This is mainly done through, the extremely child friendly and entertaining horse drawn open top waggons that take groups of children, and adults, on rides through the park. These are often every hour to every half hour from the 1st of April till the 31st of October (e.g. the spring and summer seasons). read more
