I worked with the owner, I think her name was Jeanette, on ordering a chair hammock. My friend and I first visited the store when we were on a trip to Saint Augustine. I sat in one of the chair hammocks and was so comfortable. I didn't wanna leave. I took her card and called her a month or so later, and ordered a hammock from her. I was stressed out because I was trying to make sure that I chose the same hammock that I was sitting in when I was in her store and she was incredibly kind and assuring me that if it wasn't the right one, she would be happy to replace it. This shop is in the St. George courtyard area. This is a wonderful shop. We did not make a purchase, but it does not mean I did not want to buy the store out. They had wind chimes(very well made chime), kites, beach/camping bleats, to hammocks. Traveling type hammocks to more permanent hammocks. We had a great rapport with the lady working here. This was our favorite store in St. Augustine, so friendly and helpful. We didn't have enough room to bring our kites from Illinois. Jeanette helped us find a travel kite that folds up small enough to fit in my purse! We used it our last night on the beach. We got it flying right away. It has beautiful color, a tail and strong enough to fly in 20 mph winds. Check out the fort and you may see one of their kits flying high! This is a little hidden gem, tucked into an outdoor mall corridor. The owner is so nice and helpful. You may find the prices a bit shocking, but the warranty is worth it. My family and I are based in central Florida so we frequent St. Augustine several times a year because it's our favorite place to hang out and shop and just have a really nice time. My husband and I always come here with our two best friends and we always have made it a point to come into this little corner shop to admire the high quality hammocks and dream of having a space to own one someday. Very recently we decided to all move in together and finally made the decision to purchase a hammock for our shared home, we split it four ways and are so incredibly excited to set it up! Jeanette was an absolute treasure, she was so helpful and answered all of our questions. She was immensely friendly and kind, even going the extra mile in giving my 2 year old a snack! Visiting St. Augustine a few weeks ago. While my son and I were soaking up the sun in the courtyard my husband found this cute wonderful shop and insisted we come in to take a look at a hammock. Although the shop was well stocked with fun outdoors items, I was too impulsive and felt we didn't need a hammock . I bought a hammock here several months ago and waited to post a review because I wanted to wait until the worst of the pandemic was over... I bought from this small business out of support for mom and pop stores and home town pride. Had I known what would come out of it, I definitely would have gone elsewhere or even to Amazon, which sells the identical La Siesta brand hammock for less. However to me it was not about saving $50, it was about trying to support the local economy and instead I wound up with a disgraceful experience. As the saying goes, no good deed goes unpunished. We live about an hour away and have been to this store a few times in the past. The store is super adorable with plenty of goodies (both hammocks and generally fun stuff your home/outdoors). The colors are vibrant, the feel is beachy x 100. When we decided to buy a hammock this store popped into our minds immediately. Five stars for initial impression! The guy who waited on us seemed to know his inventory. We wanted a hammock for the back of our boat and he highly recommended one particular fabric. It felt scratchy to me and since I would be wearing shorts/ bathing suits most of the summer when I used it I was questioning the comfort. The guy swore up and down, left and right that of the hammock was washed a few times it would become softer. I asked if he would take it back if It didn't. Oh yes, oh yes he replied. It was not store policy to do so but in this case he would make an exception. Fine, so we paid several hundred dollars + for the hammock. I washed that hammock at least 8 times in the next two weeks. Tide, Downy, no Downy, you name it. hung it to dry in the sun... it felt a lot softer when wet but when dry, it returned to the original scratchy feel. Less than a month after we bought it I brought it back. As soon as we walked through the door the same guy who sold it to us went from "beachy" to "bit...y" in less than 12 parsecs. He was cutting and downright nasty. He literally said that he should not have sold it to us because he knew we would be returning it, and was fuming because he could not sell a used hammock. Hey Buddy, I'm buying your product, not your problems. You insisted it would become softer or I could return it. NOW you get mad at US? In short he was friendly as a puppy when we wanted to give him money and nasty as a snake when he had to honor HIS side of the agreement. We didn't even want our money refunded - just a swap for a different hammock. He STILL literally whined about how I was the only person in the history of the store (and he repeatedly said how he sold thousands of them... yawn) who ever complained the hammock was scratchy. He kept saying how he could not re-sell a used hammock but admitted he could use it as a demo. You think this would have solved his problem, right? Wrong. He actually sounded more irritated after he admitted he had a use for it. It was fascinating. I tried to defuse the downward spiral the interaction was taking by making a self deprecating joke about how I could also feel a pea under my mattress at home. Did it work? Nope! It just gave him one more nasty thing to say about me. Hey, relax, it was a joke. I wanted to avoid posting a negative review during the height of the pandemic when so many retail stores were struggling. But the last thing I wanted to do was for me to become the target of his verbal attack and be bullied or shamed or otherwise shot down because HE agreed to a return and then decided to use me as his emotional piñata when HE went back on his gentleman's agreement. I don't want this to happen to anyone else! Luckily the shop is in a high traffic tourist area so reliance on repeat customers is not a major focus. That being said, we won't be back and do not encourage rewarding such immature and inappropriate behavior by recommending this place to anyone else. There are other places to buy hammocks and I bet they won't make you feel bad. read more

They have the best hammocks. We have two la siesta hammock chairs and a family hammock that are used several times a week. the chairs hang on the front porch all the time. We just wash them about once a month and they are holding up very well. read more

This little store is Big in Service, Quality and specially Service. The owner Jeanette is a class "A". She is the most helpful, personable, friendliest person I have ever met in a store setting like this. She go's above and beyond for her customers and she really looks out for Veterans. The selections are plentiful and the comfort is very relaxing. I received a Caribbean Rope Hammock as a special gift from the store which " blew me away :) " It feels amazing. It's soooo comfortable and relaxing that I fell asleep in it twice already. The fit is perfect for my stand and it is strong enough to hold two adults. It's hand woven and made of 100% Soft Spun Polyester, which means I can keep it outside without it mildewing or rotting out. The scorching Florida Sun doesn't fade it or effect it either. We've been visiting this store for over a year trying to decide which hammock was right for us. We have several ENOs in our family but we wanted a nice hammock for our lanai during cooler weather. This shop is amazing, especially for kite enthusiasts. I went on vacation to St. Augustine in November of '21 during their light festival. This was the first shop I visited as she opened. "Disclaimer" these are hand kites. I bought a Prism 170 from her and then a Sport kite 1.3 Symphony. I promised her I would fly both kites and write a review. The Prism 170 flies like my Cabrinha 10M Kitesurfing Kite in every aspect, I'm 5'9 150lbs. The Sport kite 1.3 Aqua flies very similar albeit with a little less control but def. worth the price. We went in today just to browse. I've been wanting a hammock for awhile, but never really know exactly what I want. The owner was so knowledgeable and helpful.
