My family and I spent this past weekend at Old Cedar. We had a good time but could not help but notice how unfriendly the two lady staff were. They offered no greetings, were rude to a member of our group about parking, and seemed easily bothered by questions. And we all felt like we were being closely watched and felt really uncomfortable. And don't expect them to wear a mask inside the camp store, even though a sign on the door says they're mandatory. This made me really uncomfortable. This is a quiet campground filled mostly with people who seem to live there. Pros: -it's about 30 minutes or so to Philly when you pay $5 toll each way -the employees are accommodating Cons: -the sites are not paved, only a little gravel at some sites -the water hose bib is located at the front of nearly all sites. It took three hoses to get to our rig. This is a great rustic campground that updates every year. There seems to be a lot of rules but the campground really is easy going. The facilities are clean, the sites are large. Tip, bring long water supply hoses, some sites are a stretch to water. The electrical seemed to be reliable. We walked the entire campground, roads are well marked and smooth. The seasonal sites we encountered had pleasant people that were quick to wave. The trail to the winery is a nice walk, no need for Uber or Lyft. All in all a nice campground with excellent rates. read more

The campground itself, wasn't bad. Defiantly very farm like but overall not bad. The management was terrible. Very rude, not helpful, and booked my reservation on the following weekend, not the one I needed. They had a terrible attitude while I was trying to figure out what was going on. Not to mention we came in around 7 pm with 2 infants and they weren't accommodating at all. I wouldn't stay here just for the rude management. read more

s Stay clear if this camp ground, unless it's not too hot out and they aren't full! we lost power Friday night, they got it back Saturday around 11 am. Then lost it again, we gave it til 3pm and then packed up to leave. I went to the office to say I wanted a refund and was told they would only do the one night, because it was our choice to leave even though there was NO ELECTRIC!!! The location is definitely ideal. It's in a beautiful area and just about half way between ac and Philadelphia. The campground is pretty small. My aunt has been a seasonal member of this campground for years. The people are all friendly and tight knit. The people really enjoy the outdoors and there's lakes, a pool, and a park to enjoy while you are there. The place does look a little more run down with each visit. It could use a little more TLC, but most people don't mind. It's a great place to just enjoy outside and is a great place to spend the summer with a family especially if you have children! They can ride their bikes around and play and you can feel that they are safe so long as they are within the campgrounds limits. There are definitely other campground competitors in the area that are nice, if not nicer but this place is a decent campground especially for the low price. read more

We had a great time here this past weekend. Unfortunately it poured most of the time, but I can't control the weather, and neither can they. You can tell that they've been in business for 50+ years, because they have tons of people who came as children that continue to come. It was our first time there. I will tell you, it's heavily wooded, so bring that bug spray!! They have 1 seasonal person at least for every 3 sites. You can tell folks come for the season because they build decks on their sites. I will absolutely come back to check out the pool without rain and there is a winery within walking distance which I am super excited to check out. Stayed here in September 2020. The park felt old and it had taken a beating during Covid. Many of the amenities were not open or accessible. I have African American grandchildren and many of the flags, banners, bumper stickers throughout the park had racist tones and made us feel unwelcome and possibly unsafe. Very loud and noisy on Friday night. Next to a farm with lots of cows which invited lots of flies. Not our best RV experience. The facilities were clean and the wood for the fire pits was good. read more

If you get a chance to check out these reviews you will find several about the management and staff of this campground and the abrasive treatment they dispense. But my experience is the topper of them all. If anyone has ever stayed in this campground you are aware of the huge speaker system on the roof of the general store office that the owners use for announcements to the entire campground - yes the entire property - it's that loud! God forbid you might be napping when this thing goes off. You will fly off the bed. It looks like a war surplus air raid siren and it's just as loud. On this night 10/24/2020 it's a cool night and all the RV's have their windows slid open. It's been cloudy so with the sun starting to set it made it prematurely dark and it's very peaceful as advertised. Suddenly, there is a blast of noise that sent everyone asking "What the hell is that?" The management of this campground decided to crank up the loud speakers to max volume with Halloween theme music at 5:30 in the afternoon. My campsite being only 100 yards from the office, I was subject to OO EEE OO AH AH TING TANG WALLA BING BING ringing in my ears. I endured this abuse for an hour hoping it would end until I was at the end of my patience. At 6:30 I went to the office and told the attendant how stupid - how ridiculous - how annoying this music is for the campers - along with some well deserved expletives while explaining just how ignorant the management of this park must be. "I'm trying to have dinner with my family at the picnic table and we can't hear each other speak!" and I had more expletives for the campground owners who soon descended on me. Long story short - the owners dug-in and said they will play their music as long and as loud as they want to. They said it's a special event of their Halloween Week for the kids although there wasn't a kid in sight and by now it's 7:30 and pitch dark. Halloween is next weekend anyway but the music continues. Complete BS. They left me no choice but to call the local cops to site them for disturbing the peace. That was a waste of time. This is one-horse town - one stop light anyway - the cops are their pals so the cops were useless saying that management can do whatever they want to do and I can leave if I don't like it. Dedicated servants in action! If any of those cops were on a camping weekend with their family and some moron started blasting music into their windows they would do something about it. Cops are supposed to ask the person behind the music to lower the volume for the sake of others around him. These cops know that, but evidently this particular moron is their backyard buddy playing the music. Long story short - the cops told me the owners want me to leave and I have no choice. The cops stood watch over me while I packed-up my RV and followed me off the property with a refund for the night that I never got to enjoy. So if you are thinking about staying at this campground I would think twice. What I have said and what the other reviewers have said is absolutely true. There are much better campgrounds with better management out there. read more

Asked for a private/wooded campsite and def not what we got. So, we Called the camp store and they let us switch easily. Got a nice site with the woods behind us. The pool is really nice but the "lake" is a glorified pond which I wouldn't go in. No chairs are the pool so make sure you bring ur own! There is only ONE bathhouse/bathroom for the entire campground. We got there at 2pm on Friday and it was spotless. Fast forward to sat at 9am and it was disgusting (def wasn't showering there!!) they finally cleaned it around 3pm. Ugh the trail to the winery was the best part...You can bring lunch and sit by the vineyard. read more

Old Cedar Campground. We stayed there for two complete seasons. This is not your friendliest campground. The office ladies are not what you come to expect while camping. They are always watching you. I felt like I had eyes on me the entire seasons we were there. The campground looked like it was nice in the past. However it looks run down now. They kept the bathrooms shut down all year and blamed it on Covid19. All other businesses open up their bathrooms. Power/electricity problems. Their electrical infrastructure needs allot of upgrades. You can't have an outside refig but they will charge you for one?? They charge for everything. If people stop over to say HI it will cost $8per person. No exceptions. No cable TV. Minimal internet. (Can't stream a movie) No golf carts are allowed. EXCEPT the office ladies. They have their own carts and can go the wrong way down one way streets and go faster then the 5MPH speed limit. Nice pool but you are always watched. Don't forget your wrist bands! We decided it is not worth the seasonal cost. So we moved out. But the icing on the cake was they were staying open a week longer this year. At first I was happy. Then I saw that they were going to charge us additional $50. What don't they understand about SEASONAL rate we already paid for? read more

We were scheduled to camp here in a fifth wheel from July 15 to July 31. However, our tow vehicle was stolen and we have no way of getting to New Jersey. We called the campsites we were staying at for the remainder of the year and cancelled our reservations. ALL of the campgrounds (18 in total) refunded our deposits in full EXCEPT for Old Cedar Campground. When I made the reservation, I checked the cancellation provisions under the "Reservation" section of their website; while there was information on the cancellation policy for 7 day stays there, there was nothing about a non-refundable deposit on stays longer than 14 days. The cancellation policy for stays of 14 days was under the "Site Map and Policies" section of their website and was different than that under "Reservations". Why have cancellation policies in two different places. Clever, sneaky, dishonest way to steal peoples deposits from them. Just one other thing that this campground does that is dishonest - I can't imagine anyone selling their integrity for $150 but I was proven wrong. You can judge for yourself whether you want to do business with a company that operates like this. I know I will never stay with them again. read more

Pros: campground that's relatively close to Philadelphia. In a remote farmland country. Reasonably priced. Cons: Water does not reach trailer unless you have a 75' hose. Dump station hose has no water, had to fill up gallon jug at nearest empty spot to clean station after dumping. First time here, it was a little over an hour from my house so the location was great. The campgrounds and surrounding area are beautiful. There are some basic common curtesy rules but things seemed pretty lax overall.The "beach" looks nothing like how the website advertised. The mini golf and playground left a lot to be desired. This campground looks great. There are lots of trees, but also sunny sites. We watched cows nursing their babies in the pasture, and you can buy farm-fresh eggs at the campground store. So why the low rating? (1) The electricity fluctuated. It spikes up and down. First you'll have 120 volts. A few hours later it'll drop to less than 110. (2) The water pressure also fluctuates. You'll have good pressure, then in the middle of your shower it slows down. (3) Ants, lots of them, invading our RV. This problem probably could have been alleviated somewhat if they cut the grass more often. It was over my ankles. (4) The trash cans were overflowing. Apparently, it is picked up on Fridays. Which means that the trash generated by the many weekenders sits there for a full week. read more
