Alberto waited on me and allowed me a comfy space to escape the cold and windy temps that my zealot hubby braved on the course. Alberto helped find me a table with easy to access to an outlet in the floor, even went down to open up the brass covers so I wouldn't have to mess with it myself. I was able to do some work and eat a delicious breakfast of French toast and the crispiest bacon a girl could ask for. One important thing to note that they are a card only establishment (no cash) for purchases. At least in the restaurant area. I spoke to a member who enjoyed a breakfast from a seat at the counter that told me that all their entrees are great and at a price point that cannot be neat and he wasn't wrong! I almost got hit with golf balls here so many times because some people don't know how to yell FORE so you can duck and they don't have patience to wait. Last week, a ball nearly missed my shoulder because the two women behind me couldn't wait. I had to wait for the group in front of me to finish so I can hit. They didn't wait for me to finish before they swing. Prices are reasonable. You pay extra for a cart here.

The course is simplistic, but challenging enough to be respected. The food is decent and affordable. The staff has always been helpful and friendly. Golf carts are in good shape and operate properly. The course was in good shape even after an ice storm a little less than 2 weeks prior. I completely expected the course to be poor in condition for winter golf after a recent ice storm. But it was in amazing condition for the time of year and circumstances. If you have a bad experience at this course, I will pay for your next round, so you can give them a second chance. A.W. Tillinghast designed the original course and the updates a few years ago made it even better. The cost of membership is out of my stratosphere, and I'm not a Highland Park / Preston Hollow person, so wouldn't qualify to be a member anyway. Nevertheless it's a fantastic golf course and I recommend it highly.
