I almost got hit with golf balls here so many times because some people don't know how to yell FORE so you can duck and they don't have patience to wait. Last week, a ball nearly missed my shoulder because the two women behind me couldn't wait. I had to wait for the group in front of me to finish so I can hit. They didn't wait for me to finish before they swing. Prices are reasonable. You pay extra for a cart here.

I returned after a bad experience my last time here, clearly out of poor judgement, to play with a few friends who are newer to the game, and decided to play the Glen for the first (and last) time. Booked a tee time for three players over the phone at 5:10 with one of their "stellar" employees, and called back a few hours later to move it back to 5:30 to give us more wiggle room after work. We show up to the course and go to check in to find out the tee time was never adjusted on their tee sheet, they still had us at 5:10, so "we were late". I explained the situation to them, and the best they could do is move us to 6:10, fine. After some practice time, we return to check in again, only to be told we (a threesome) were only booked for two players at 6:10 and had gotten paired with two other players. Frustrated, I commented that an apology would go a long way on their behalf for all of these mistakes. The two employees at the desk (likely with a collective 10 brain cells between them) looked at each other and said "we weren't here yesterday", and the one even had the audacity to say "you should be happy you're playing golf". At no point a simple "we apologize for the confusion and inconvenience", was offered or likely even thought of in their seemingly empty cranial cavities. I will not be returning here ever, and would recommend anyone that appreciates decent (not even good) customer service avoids this place like the plague. They are a disgrace.

Played at Rusted Rail Golf today in Crandall, and have a few takeaway…read more 1) Majority of the tee boxes are flat and in good condition, think there was only 2 that were iffy. 2) Fairways are in tip top shape and soft, rough was nice and thick. Miss the fairway and can easily lose your ball as it sits down so much. 3) GREENS ARE HORRIBLE! They are so bad from the wasp digging holes in them that the greenskeeper was out there this morning with leaf blower blowing them. Had to skip one green completely as there was just to many wasp to consider playing. (Probably 40+ swarming). On top of that there was practically no grass on them. All in all if they recover the greens, this course would be unbelievable.

The par 3s are longer than normal and it makes them a little harder which I like and don't like. Some of the greens are really rough and look like they had maintenance mishaps but the fairways are pretty standard for most public courses in the DFW area. Only have two complaints. The price ($75 on weekends) I think is a little high for our area and what it is. It's not a Plano/Frisco level course. Second issue is food and bev service. I don't think they have cart girls and they have a snack shack midway through but it's rarely open earlier than 11. If you have an early tee time you just have to wait for the turn.
