As my girlfriend and I sat down we immediately felt unwelcome. The staff and even most customers just stared at us as if we did not belong. We were rushed to finish our drinks and move from our seats because supposedly the seats were reserved but there was no sign that said so and no one said anything upon us sitting down. We found this very odd and unsettling as we have felt nothing but welcomed throughout the whole island on our 10-day vacation. Unfortunately, this part of the island was very gentrified (we wanted to give it the benefit of the doubt) but did not go well and I believe this is a major part of the reason why other customers have also had the same experience as we did. It is very unfortunate. The bar sits between a resort and vacation homes the staff seemed to only want to attended to their vacation "friends." We love to support small businesses but will definitely not be coming back. read more

Cute place for dinner and/or drinks right by Shacks Beach. It's all patio seating with a little bar, and there's a bookshelf offering titles to borrow during customers' stays. The fish tacos were a hit with our crew multiple nights, but honestly, while the food here is fine, don't expect topnotch. Service is friendly but not the quickest-- this is a spot to relax and hang out; I wouldn't recommend coming when you're already very hungry, as we made that mistake during our first visit, and the entrees we ordered took so long that we added an appetizer out of desperation and devoured a large amount of Parmesan fries in the interim despite not really wanting them. Loved this place - fantastic vibe with twinkly lights and a tiki decor. We were surprised how busy it was, when we arrived we were asked if we had a reservation (on a Monday no less.) They said Monday is their busiest day and they had no availability past 7pm. Luckily we were able to snag bar seats and the bartender, Sarah was fantastic. So nice we came back twice...then twice more...so all told 5 visits during our week in Isabela. Let me paint the picture for you: up at 4am to get Wifey & Junior to the airport on time for our flight. Finally arrive around 9 hours later an exhausted mess, wait in line to get bags, get through airport security, then more lines to pick up a rental car and finally we arrive...starving. Did not expect the little green shack we drove past as we approached our rental house to wind up being one of the best meals I've ever had in my life, but here we are. And I'm not talking about an "I'm starving everything tastes amazing" experience - this was legitimately an incredible meal from wire to wire. Ordered a mojito right off the bat and after one sip I knew I was in for a treat here. The drinks at Ola are strong and tasty. Had the pleasure of also trying Wifey's rum punch and the tropical dreamsicle ordered by another family member and they were also outrageous. For starters our party shared the chipotle nachos & street corn dip. I can't even decide which I liked better because they both blew my mind. Super crispy fresh made chips on both and just overall yumminess to get us going. As if that weren't enough the fish tacos were equally outstanding, everything fresh and flavors perfectly balanced. In hindsight I'd have to say the chipotle chicken nachos were my favorite because that's what I wound up gravitating to every trip back. That and the tropical dreamsicle cocktail were a match made in heaven. Other items we tried including the peanut butter burger, spinach dip & salads were also wonderful. Come to think of it I can't recall anything we didn't enjoy, and the amazingly friendly staff just made our experience that much better. The buffalo sauce is a little strong, and I couldn't really taste much blue cheese in the sauce, but it didn't really bother me. I ordered the garden salad with chicken which was also good! I love buffalo wings and this place serves some of the best wings I've had. BUT, the portions are small (only 8 wings) and nothing else, just a little container with blue cheese. No celery sticks and no carrot sticks. In my opinion the price is too high for what you're getting. Wings are inexpensive and many places in PR have them at 25 cents a wing. If they're going to charge so much for 8 plain wings at least they should include the celery or carrot sticks. The place is not an ocean front restaurant, it's more like a shack surrounded by overgrown grass, so I don't see any justification for their high prices. I don't think I'll be back for 8 wings. That's a kid's meal in my opinion. Be advise that if you ask for a little hot sauce on the side like I did, they will charge you for it. read more

On Tuesdays they have triva. The staff is so pleasant and everyone speaks English. This is like a surfer vibe to the place. It gets insanely busy so make a reservation. The PB Burger is just OKAY--this is supposed to be a menu favorite...but it was not amazing as everyone says. The burger was small and the bread was too much. We stayed at a VRBO nearby and could walk to this place. Parking is a bit chaotic on a narrow street and you just park on the side. They probably can seat 30 to 40 people at a given time.
