Having already been scammed for a grand, I crawled under some blankets and set up some space heaters to tough out a few chilly October evenings. The actual service technician was a decent, professional fellow, bit their management team leaves room for much improvement. Oh, and when you tell me you'll have a guy out at 8 Monday morning, don't have me calling at 830 to find out you sent him to the warehouse for parts for another job first, not cool.

Terry was referred to me by a co-worker and he delivered. The first time I spoke to him I told him my current tribulations and by the time we hung up he was able to explain to me some things I didn't know about our protections as Pittsburgh residents and how permitting works with master electricians. He was able to confirm in less than 15 minutes after speaking the other said "electrician" did not, in fact, pull a permit. Terry came by the house within a couple days and saw the shoddy work of the other as well as clearly identified a fire hazard and immediately protected our home by disconnecting what he needed to keep us safe until the actions could be taken to rectify the problem. The work was done in a day, including the inspection, so he has some good rapport with the right people at the city, this is unheard of where I have been for a decade. Also, when the time came, he did more work than he expected just to correct what wasn't done right by the first guy at no additional cost. Terry also went out of his way when I called and asked for a written statement for my credit card company about what needed to be corrected and completed to ensure I could get my money back. He didn't require a deposit nor my credit card info and he only accepts checks so although I didn't get miles for the expense, I got piece of mind, and it is well worth it! I am very appreciative I found them and I will keep them in my pocket for future use and referral. I tried to go the less expensive route and got nothing but heartache. When I did things correctly I got more than expected and a fair deal.

Once job was done guy asked me 125$ extra for putting one extra switch in the same box. After being asked for extra money I ended up buying double dimmer single switch from home depot for 30$.

They got the work done professionally, precisely and it looks like a high-quality job. He was struggling and pulling on the pipes and I was, and still am, worried that there will be future leaks elsewhere. After he figured out how to put it all back together I could not believe my eyes. What was once a very neat area of piping now looks like a hair scramble of copper pipes. There are many angles and turns which look to me as being a very unprofessional job. He was definitely relieved that there were no leaks. After him being here for 4 hours he hands me the bill which I could not believe. $797.00 dollars!!! To fix a shut off valve in my laundry room. When I questioned him he stated he was here for 4 hours at $130 per hour and that included the parts. When I mentioned how displeased I was with the bill he didn't blink an eye. Shame on me for not asking for an estimate before allowing him to start the job, I never thought he would take advantage of us and charge that much. Now my drywall is cracked and the area that once looked very nice now looks horrible. I would not recommend Simonic plumbing to anyone due to the workmanship and outright gouging of the charges.

They completely ghosted us. They didn't even give me a copy of the inspection they did so I could work with someone else.
