Months of a no flush toilet. When I balked at the high cost of the toilet installation (It's WAY out of range), Brett told me if I couldn't afford it, then that's when I should sell my blood plasma. A plumber telling a customer to sell her blood to afford his cheap nonworking toilet. Let that flush through your mind before you call Brett. Recently, after many months, I finally replaced it. A Gerber toilet. Strong. Flushes every time. Aren't toilets supposed to do that? It cost half of what Brett charged. A Gerber is more expensive than an American Standard. How is that possible? It's possible when a service provider cares about customers, is honest, and kind, and won't look for an opportunity to take advantage of someone who can least afford to be taken advantage of. $807 for a faulty toilet. And an abominable insulting plumber.

What was unprofessional about him was the fact that after he was done he never wrote out an invoice and for a whole year my mother and I have tried multiple times to get ahold of him to pay for his services and just today he sent a text to my mother saying she owed $1,600 because he couldn't get ahold of her for a year and he made every excuse why "he changed multiple phones, family getting sick, children being born, vacations, etc" All this shows a lack of professionalism of him to complete his jobs unless he does this to all his customers so he can charge them more for "not being able to get ahold of them"

Absolutely outstanding service from Mr. Waterheater! Shaun…read moreshowed up right on time--literally the very next day--and was clean, professional, and clearly knew exactly what he was doing. He has his master's license, and it really showed in the quality of his work. My old 20-year-old water heater had sprung a leak, and they not only removed it quickly but installed a brand-new unit and even accommodated my request to move the water heater from the first floor down to the basement. He ran all new plumbing, everything looks clean and beautifully done, and the entire process was smooth and efficient. On top of all that, the pricing was very affordable. Highly recommend Mr. Waterheater to anyone who wants professional, reliable, and top-quality work!

The gentleman on the phone was helpful and friendly. After hearing the quote and abandoning hope with the other HSA plumber, I went ahead and asked if we could schedule service. He said the technician arrival time would be between 11:30 and 1:30. I said, "TODAY???" I was in shock after a freezing cold shower haha! Mr. Waterheater's 2-man-team was here at 11:28 AM THE SAME MORNING, and gone by 1:05 PM. Excellent, efficient service and friendly, non-condescending explanation of issues and cost breakdown of $1,365.00.

Not to mention, we are brand new to this neighborhood and so I had no idea where to even begin looking for an emergency plumber. I gave Roto-Rooter a call and the woman that helped set up the appointment was as kind as could be. She was cheerful and patient with me as I was scrambling to get the appointment setup. Someone was at our home within 1.5 hours of the call . Luckily, we knew where the water shutoff was for this particular leak, but there was so much water pooled in our air ducts and leaking from our garage ceiling that we had to have a plumber take a look. The gentleman who came to assist was also kind and thorough. He confirmed that we shutoff the water, he determined where the leak was coming from and offered to fix it (the fridge). We declined due to the age of the fridge and are brand new (read: broke for a minute) homeowners. He didn't charge us a thing. He gave us instructions for draining the water from the air duct (which was in the garage), offered to help us clean up the water (we declined that too) and was on his way. I am NOT giving them 5 stars because they didn't charge us. I would have given them 5 stars regardless. Simply, I was pleased with their service and friendliness in a world where customer service seems to fall by the wayside all too often.

Just because a corporation has…read morean A+ rating with BBB, doesn't mean that you should do business with them without first reading the complaints on the BBB web site. (https://www.bbb.org/us/oh/cincinnati/profile/plumber/roto-rooter-0292-1922/complaints) BBB tells me there are things that organizations can do to up their BBB ratings... I wish I had known that and read some of the 540 complaints on the BBB web site. Roto-Rooter is charging me $3100.00 for incomplete work. After two no-shows with no notice, they started work on 3/19/21. They jackhammered a deep hole in my basement, removed the sewer trap, and fashioned a temporary connection between two cut pieces of sewer pipe. Original estimate was a 2-day job for $4839.00. After another no show with no notice, I gave up on them on 3/24 and asked for a bill for work completed. Then they added $1140.00 onto the bill from a quote dated 12 days after the first quote, saying it was part of the original job, for additional work that was never even attempted. And for that, they want $3100.00? THIS IS SHAMEFUL. 4/7/21 Update: A Customer Satisfaction Manager from RR HQ read my online complaint under Google Reviews. After filing a formal complaint with the Murrysville General Manager, and a reminder follow up, this Customer Satisfaction Manager was able to get Murrysville RR to assign a manager to review my complaint. This manager was able to cut my bill in half by dropping their profit on the job and billing me for only the labor cost of the work that had actually been done. He sincerely apologized, stating that this should never have dragged on so long, and that this is not the way they do business. He also promised to follow up with the job supervisor regarding multiple customer service failures that resulted in significant delays. This was an expensive lesson for me--one that I will never forget. I am awaiting the corrected bill so that I can pay it and move on.
