If your teenager has signed up for in-person driving instruction sessions, pray you do not get a certain instructor. (Will not mention by name here in a public forum, but a complaint will be filed with the school in the morning.) Instructor was very rude, disrespectful, made my daughter very uncomfortable. I would think, an instructor with an adult maturity level, would be understanding and supportive. Instead of immediately criticizing a new driver here to learn, by sternly asking things like "do you have a medical condition? Are you deaf?" and "are you still asleep? Still half-awake?". So condescending and berating right off the bat, that she was distraught and nervous and probably led to some mistakes. Like not noticing a pothole in the road and getting yelled at for it. So overall, a humiliating experience from an instructor who I would think, would have experience and empathy working with young drivers. Being paired with this instructor would not only be a horrible learning experience, but the demeanor towards students is distracting, and could lead to unsafe driving situations, endangering not only the student/instructor, but endangering other drivers as well. I would not feel safe with my teen in a car with this instructor. This is frustrating, as this is her third driving session with the school, and her previous two sessions were with very helpful, very friendly, supportive, and knowledgeable instructors. read more

My husband and I decided to take a defensive driving class to reduce are auto insurance. There is plenty of parking in the front of building. They have a website so you can register and pay online. It was a pretty straightforward process, the posted time of class ending was at 3 and we ended at 2pm, the website just needs to be updated. We arrived to our Saturday morning class and when I entered the room, it reminded me of my early elementary days with the desks. The quality of the class was good, the instructor did bring relevant news articles related to the material we were discussing. All the ways things can go wrong when you aren't paying attention. The downside is that the course book is old, torn, some missing pages and the videos were from the 1980s. Overall we will be back in 3 years. read more

Oklahoma Driving School - Exterior - Driving Schools Near Me - Tulsa, Oklahoma

Seasoned instructors and opportunity to drive with instructors is a definite plus! Definitely recommend.

My son was yelled at and treated so badly that I will make sure that everyone I come in contact with stays clear of this place. The "instructors" are permitted to eat crackers, give incoherent instruction and then yell that the students for not understanding a mouth full of food. Learning to drive is stressful enough without dealing with rude, incompetent people who wish they no longer had to work. I deal with teenagers everyday and I would be fired if I acted so unprofessional and condescending. This place is directly in violation of the Americans with Disabilities Act and are putting theirselves in a place to be sued. No one deserves to pay to be treated so badly. read more

The driving instructors are good. The company is garbage. my kid got sick at 2 am throwing up and wasn't able to make a driving appointment. no way to call and get ahold of someone so they automatically add a 105 dollar charge to reschedule. It wasn't possible to give 24 hour notice and no one answered the phones from 8 to 930. I believe they do this on purpose to get a cash grab. No understanding from the company. Only use them if have no other choice. read more

Prompt on-time easy to schedule. Driving test did not take long, and tester was cordial & polite. Conveniente location. Cost was reasonable. ($40) I used them because it was impossible to get driving test scheduled until mid July. read more

ODS did a good job helping me get my driving permit and preparing me for my exam. I needed hand controls and they had a car fully equipped to meet my needs. I would recommend Oklahoma Driving School for anyone learning to drive and especially if they have a disability requiring special equipment. Thank you ODS! read more

first time i tried for my drivers test the first guy was super nice and funny, the second time the second guy was so rude and was literally yelling at me in the car, he was a black male probably in his 30s or 40s, literally went home crying because of him. read more

Excellent and were very helpful making sure my son was able to get his license ON his birthday

Oldest son did the whole drivers ed program. I decided to save the money and do parent taught for the second. It was so much easier to just to the OK drivers ed program as they do EVERYTHING! Just pay the money, it is worth it! read more

This business might be the only business in Oklahoma requiring children to carry the burden of wearing masks to protect adults. Adults at risk can wear a protective mask (N95) and get one of the widely available vaccines for protection from Covid. They are also using Covid as an excuse to not pick up the students for their drives. I called around to other driving schools and they are meeting students at their homes for drives and masks are optional. There are other choices in Tulsa. We are going to go with Green Light Driving School. Our children have suffered enough. read more

Second time our family has used this company to teach our teens driver's ed. John is friendly and accommodating and it's obvious he loves what he does. read more

Some of the staff are totally business, read not friendly, but they aren't rude. Both of my children has taken driving through this company. I can't compare with other companies but we were pleased with the outcomes which is both kids got their drivers licenses and we save on auto insurance. The best part is they offer the driving test for the dmv. There is a bit of a charge, $20 I think, but worth not hassling with dmv. After the test you go straight to the tag agency. They keep asking me for reviews, so I guess my first one wasn't good enough. Lol read more

I am very satisfied the person that test my son gave him a very good coaching..

We used OK Driving School with our oldest and will for our next two! The option to test there makes it well worth it!

The schooling and driving practice in person made it so easy to prepare for my drivers license. I recommend people all the time.

Good luck scheduling your driving lessons and drive test! They have one scheduler and you have to call repeatedly in order to get ahold of her during a small window on weekdays. It's SO ridiculous! read more

OK Driving School was great! My oldest went there for Driver's Ed and I took a Defensive Driving Course. They were professional and courteous. I recommend them to friends and will use them again! read more

Been very pleased sending two children to driver's education here. The classroom instruction is thorough and effective. My kids came away from that with a good foundation to start driving with a permit. The office gives very clear and concise directions for each step of the permitting and licensing process. Driving instructors have been excellent, and my kids have been complimentary and comfortable of/with them. read more

My sons both went through Oklahoma Driving School. They are flexible with schedules even picking up from school to practice driving. Both kids passed their test on the first try and are excellent drivers. So easy!!! read more

Oklahoma Driving School is great at preparing you for the permit test. They give you questions directly from the test. My reservation is with the actual driving lessons. If you get the package (which I did), you get four 1.5 hour drives and the instructors spend a lot of that time showing you the mechanisms in the car and talking to you about the test. Basically less drive time than you would think. I would highly recommend reading up on the manual to take the permit test, take one driving class with them so you know what to expect on the test, practice driving with your parents/friends, and take the test with them. read more

It's pricey, but comparable with other driving schools...and much better than me learning it all to teach!

They are great. All three of my kids learned from this company. They are organized, patient and have quality patient teachers to lead your kids during this transition to driving. It is also a much quicker way to to fulfill the requirements with my kids bus schedules. read more

Great instructors. Patient and kind. All of my kids went thru them. Highly recommend

Both of my girls had great instructors! Will recommend this school to all of our friends.

Itll teach you what you need. Classroom part of it is fine but the driving portion? Absolute nightmare. The instructors were completely rude and halfway weeny paying attention at all to my driving and checking out girls on the sidewalk and overall very unprofessional and didn't learn much from it. read more

The classroom part is good, but they do not prepare you well enough during the driving sessions to pass their own driving test. They now allow you to take the driving test through their school to obtain your license. You have to pay to take the driving part of the test with them, and then if you fail, you have to pay again to take it. Seriously? When THEY are the ones who were supposed to get them ready for the driving test? My daughter failed the driving test after paying $370 for the course plus I believe it was $25 or $30 to take the driving test. She just went to DPS and then took it and passed for free. For the money we paid, they should have taught her well enough to pass. read more

I recommend purchasing the package, then take lessons from different instructors until you find the one that suits you. Each has a different teaching style. Taking the drive test at the school is a must! The stress level is lower because the examiner is not out to fail you and tells you what to expect in advance. Also, the drive test is in the same area that the lessons are given. My daughter passed the driving test on the first try. read more

OK Driving School helps teens gain confidence behind the wheel. All of the instructors have been doing this for many years. They do a great job with the details you forget to tell them about as their parent. We sent both of our kids there and they both passed the driving test with flying colors!! read more
