Their style was fresh and modern but also had some classic clean items plus bold colours. Since their foray into Canada they have carried this similar business model that I once remembered 20 years ago when visiting the gargantuan stores in SF, NYC and Chicago. The store here at Carrefour Laval is well laid out nicely decorated and offers lots of items. However I'm a bit surprised how much their items appear to cost in Canada. Sure I know this place is not Ikea particle board furniture AKA kill your fingers putting together with a mini hex wrench. However Cadillac Fairview (Carrefour Laval) must be charging a stranglehold rent for them to have to charge what they do for items at a mall location. Selection is very good and they have high quality items. Really you can decorate the house to make your place look snazzy! A great place for office worker gifts or for the wifey or GF to get you out of the doghouse. If you are patient check out some of their name brand items and order online. You will definitely find cheaper.

Prices are about right however nothing is more frustrating than finding something you want but... NOT IN YOUR SIZE. DAMN YOU GIANT BODY!!! Other than that, the gift stuff during the holiday seasons can be pretty good in terms of quality and price. Homesense if basically a home decor place where you can find of variety of things and knick knacks for your home. The holiday stuff can be pretty awesome but variety on that is kind of stagnant.

I bought and received an office chair that I paid $150 + taxes, which came in totally damaged. Took photos, wrote to them an hour after delivery ... ?? their answer ... ? A ''non negociable compensation'' of $39 ! And .... All this ... after I spent about $2000 at their store in the last 3 weeks ! After debating the issue, they agreed to replaced the heavy damaged product and ... I received .... another damaged chair! Wrote to management ... nothing back ! I always liked the look of their product ... but obviously, look is not enough. Watch out !
