They have amazing fresh fruit and juices - passion fruit juice is my favorite! Also eggs with veggies, mushroom tacos, etc. they don't skimp on flavor but it does feel healthy. This is a trendy, sort of hipster place. We saw mostly locals while here, despite the fact that the restaurant was attached to our hotel. I thought my rancheros del ojo was good (not great, but fine). My husband didn't like his meal though. So at the cost of 800 mxn (about $40 USD right now), I don't think it was worth it. The server actually recommended some of the American dishes for breakfast, so this place may be best for just juices, smoothies, açaí bowls, and pancakes, etc. But the Mexican dishes were just okay overall. This place is a hole in the wall. You have to order at a small counter and they bring the food to your table. I ordered the wagyu burger and ended the meal with ripe mango and tajin. I love healthy food and are always searching for the best spots when traveling. Ojo de Agua was pretty much the ultimate health spot here in Mexico DF, so I naturally had to visit. Milan 44 is a very cool location. All the contrasts in Mexico City are amazing. From the traditional to the hipster. Milan 44 attracts a lot of cool people and so does Ojo de Agua. I had the guayaba juice and an acai bowl. Everything was so good. Freshly prepared and very delicate. The atmosphere is amazing, but the service was a bit rude. I generally find Mexican people quite rude to tourists which is unfortunate. They just do need seem prepared to serve tourists, to communicate and to understand foreigners. It's been a few weeks since I was in DF, and I'm still thinking of this place! During my recent 6 day stay in Mexico City, I must have visited this place every other day, without fail. Their acai bowl was heavenly. If you aren't intimately familiar with acai, it is from the Brazilian mashed palm fruit that when blended, looks like a purple smoothie. But when this smoothie is frozen and scooped it resembles ice cream! Imagine ice cream size balls of this nutrient and fiber packed magical thing into a decorative bowl and then layered with bananas, mango slices, strawberries and other delicious toppings like honey, coconut and nuts. Oh yeah, you want an acai bowl. Not just right now, but tomorrow and the day after and the day after. I'm so hooked. What struck me as so different, was that this acai bowl was cold, sweet, crunchy, creamy and fruity and seemed to satisfy a dinner and dessert hunger. This is so revolutionary to me, since I usually think of dinner as a meal and dessert as guilty after pleasure. But this acai bowl here at Ojo de Agua, was a perfect way to end a long day of training. The cafe is beautifully lit and the open air concept leads to a fresh ambiance. I liked that there was plenty of seating and the giant vase of fresh flowers on the main tables made for a fancy and upscale feel. I can't wait for my next opportunity to go to Ojo de Agua. Oh and before I forget: definitely order the mint tea. No tea bags here; rather, a generous bunch of fresh mint to steep in your cup. Refreshing, just like this spot. read more

Ojo de Agua was one of the best restaurants I visited while in Mexico City and it doesn't even serve tacos or tortas. Just off of Paseo de La Forma, Oja de Agua serves healthy meals for breakfast and lunch. It reminds me of a restaurant you could find in Southern California - think Acai bowls, fresh squeezed juices (no preservatives people!) and healthy breakfast dishes made from only the freshest ingredients. My boyfriend and I shared an Acai bowl with 2 scoops of Acai and it was magnificent - the freshest fruit combined with frozen Acai and homemade granola made for the best Acai bowl I have ever had. We also each had a fresh squeeze juice - mine with papaya and his with watermelon. Prices are expensive for Mexico standards ($8 - $10 dollars per dish) but the high prices are completely worth it. Unfortunately we only made it here for breakfast but I am sure the lunch is just as delicious. Highly recommend. read more

After being in Mexico City for almost a week, I was really craving my favourite food from back home, açai bowls and fresh salads. My boyfriend begrudgingly came along but was convinced once our food came out. The açai may even be better than the bowls I had back in Brazil which is saying a lot! Tons of fresh, perfectly ripe fruit (mango, raspberries, bananas, strawberries), granola with fresh almonds, cashews, peanuts and sunflower seeds, fresh shredded coconut... so good!! We also ordered a tuna salad which came with a huge tuna steak, fresh greens, tomatoes and herbs in a ginger-sesame dressing. Top it with the macha sauce they bring out (and sell) and it's delicious! The fruit juice came out in a massive 750 mL mason jar. As most things in Mexico it was fairly sweet but good. Next time I would see if I could order the juice and the açai half sweet.
