Bring water because there is a water fountain but it's always warm water. I also recommend wearing a helmet when u skate because the police roll up sometimes and give tickets to people who ride without a helmet. Not the place to go with children under 10. Sitting just on the outskirts of downtown Filmore is this newish skatepark that's an interesting mix of street and ramp. The setup is dominated by a large scattering of street style bits and pieces that includes all kinds of boxes, ledges, banks, stairs and rails. Even the three different entries to the skatepark are fully skatable. It's an eclectic mix but really versatile and offers a lot of options and challenges. The central area contains a bunch of transitions that loosely form an open bowl. They range in size from 4-8ft and also include a hip and a couple 1.5ft extensions. It all kind of works in a strange way and isn't like anything we've seen before. There's also a relatively unused mid sized pool style bowl (6-9ft) that has nice transitions and pool coping. I've been looking for a skate park in the valley for its mini ramps and different sized bowls to learn. I felt comfortable at this skate park to cruise around and practice. It's a good skate park for all skill levels. When I went, I noticed groups of young people hanging around the outside entrance huddled together. On my way out, there were people shouting, wrestling, and horse playing. I just went on my way but I hope this park continues to be a safe environment for kids to feel welcome too! Update- Took the review from 4 stars to 3 stars. Beware of a skinny, young, small, pale white woman wearing a floral SnapBack backwards with brown curly hair driving an all black GT Mustang. I didn't see her skating at the park at all but she was parked in the lot accompanied by a passenger (don't know who they were). I was already exiting my parking spot and was reversing to straighten my wheel to get out and she aggressively honked at me for no reason. She didn't like how I was in front of her. I threw my hands up and I honked because she aggressively cut me off in the parking lot. They honked again and this time the passenger flipped me off LOL and sped off! I was with the car at the next traffic light and witnessed the car was aggressively changing lanes trying to be first in line, tailgating me, cutting me off, and driving horribly. I was just in shock and laughing at them because they acted so immaturely. It did leave a bad impression and I'm thinking of not coming back to this area!

We always make a little pit stop at this park whenever we're in Ojai. It's right in the heart of…read moretown and pretty big. The classic Ojai archways greets you when you walk through and then the fountains is like the staple of it. The playground is pretty well maintained and looks pretty new. Not only a playground, there's also tennis courts as well as an amphitheater towards the back. There's also somewhat has of a small little trail that could be somewhat of a hiking trail. The grassy area is well maintained and well manicured. It's always pretty busy with people lounging and enjoying some rest and relaxation as well as kids all over the playground having the time of their lives.
