Nice place to hike and take a walk around the hills next to campus. There is also a trail to mission peak from this campus. Good views of the South Bay Area.

It's a good stepping stone to a 4 yr university. Offers great 2 yr prep jobs such as nursing, respiratory therapist....

As of the time I am writing this review, I am a student who has spent 3 and a half years at Ohlone. This is my last semester at here as I plan to spend a cross semester at Berkeley before I transfer colleges. The reason I chose to attend to college was only because of the very high transfer rates and is one of the top community colleges of CA. The College has two campuses and this is the main one. A lot of room to walk around. If you pick your professors carefully, you can succeed. Come to class, do the work, and obtain the grade. What I like the most of Ohlone is how most of the students are rushing to transfer out. There is no one here who wants to stay longer than usual. A lot of people are full time students who went to transfer out as soon as possible. The Counselors are the best people to turn to in times of need. If you ask the right questions, from transferring to classes, you will get the right answers. Parking is not an issue at all, the food offered here is decent as it is nothing special. The price for classes are decent and I recommend renting all books as it saves money. There is nothing wrong with attending a community college, this is the chance for people to fix the wrongs they had in High School. At this moment the campus is expanding with new buildings to be finished by next year. I wish I could be around to witness the finish, as this college is only getting better over the years.

Great place to watch a baseball game. There is plenty of parking in several lots. Beautiful views of the Fremont hills. If you arrive early and want a challenging hike follow the trail up the hills and explore.

    Its Beautiful up here.

I went to see my daughter do in ASL project. It was very interesting to watch her sign from where she's coming from in high school. She is amazing it was so beautiful. Was also nice watch the other students sign. And I wish I could just grasp SL. I tried I've tried I've tried it's just not a strong I just I'm not there. But I'm so proud of her learning ASL so she can be an interpreter. I'm proud of this school. I am proud of Sherry her one of her instructors so awesome I'm sorry I met a gentleman instructor and he was awesome as well. And I know she'll do well and do big things so proud of my baby all right dropping her off. Oh yeah look at the pictures up there so beautiful looking down on the world and looking up at the cows I've always had a thing for mountains you guys enjoy your day go vote go vote go vote you all make a

Salut! Comment ça va? Ça va bien ici à Ohlone. Thanks to Ohlone College, I am learning some French in preparation for our upcoming trip to France! I was looking at other language schools, but they were all very expensive. I hoped that Ohlone would offer French in the evening, and voila, here I am learning survival French just in time for our trip. This is not my first class at Ohlone. I have taken classes here before in order to add to my professional development units at work. In my line of work, the more semester units you have past your BA, the higher you go up the salary scale. One of the classes I took here was an online Women's Literature course with A. Kuhn and it was a wonderful class. Though it was online, the message boards made it possible to interact with other students and discuss the text. Prof. Kuhn was great about giving feedback and was kind enough to write a letter of recommendation for me when I was applying for a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities. I'm sure her letter was instrumental in my success in securing the grant! My French 101A class is also wonderful. Our class is small and the professor teaches the entire time in French. The class meets twice a week for about 5 hours, so I am learning a lot. We also have a textbook online that has a lot of audio and written exercises to help us practice. I work full time, so I am very busy these days because of the class, but the sacrifice is worth it! My class is in the portables due to construction on campus, but there is a cafe a few doors down where you can grab some food and coffee, and study a bit before class starts. Free wi-fi is also available. And if you're lucky enough to have a class that starts around sunset like I do, the view of the Bay Area from campus is spectacular! There is no free parking on campus. You can buy a daily permit for $2 each or save some money by buying a semester permit for $35. The student parking lot is below the college, so yes, you will have to climb up the hill if you have classes way up there. Hey, we all need exercise! Applying to the college was easy. I filled out an online application in early December, enrolled in a class, paid my fees, purchased my textbook online and next thing I knew, it was January and spring semester has started. The fees here per unit are way less than the fees I've paid at UC Extension and Stanford Continuing Studies. Community Colleges are definitely an affordable option, so take advantage of them!

My first interaction with the admissions and counseling office was pretty good. Helpful staff. I had a problem registering for a call. The counseling office helped resolve it immediately. The only problem was that the building had no air conditioning. With the temperature in the late 80s, it was extremely uncomfortable. After waiting in the hall for 30 mins and a 10 min talk to the counselor, I came out feeling sick. I am now recuperating with the AC on blast!

The only time was many years ago when FedEx, UPS, etc. had the strike and I had to wait a couple of weeks for my books. I completely agree with the previous reviewer that the bookstore has everything that you would want from a college bookstore. Yes, the textbooks are regular price. But then, what do you expect? They have to charge you full price. If you're not happy with the prices for the textbooks, then you can always get it on the web. By the way, they don't sell parking permits anymore. I am not sure that the current management had sold them at all. May have been when the bookstore was actually run by the school and not by Follett. Still it is wise to buy the textbooks here, especially if you are either in a hurry and the semester starts in a matter of days or you are worried that you may have bought the wrong book.

I always went to the library there, students have some personal space and aren't crowded together like at main campus. If you call the # of the library, you can reserve a room to get your work done. They have a career center where they give mock interviews, comes in handy since I also utilized it for resume help. Inside there is a small room where students can play pool, watch TV, or play piano to kill some time. Parking is not a problem and I always prefer the space on the right of the campus. If you want some fresh air, you can take a walk around campus. The food at Newark is ok, but I highly recommend to drive to "The Block," which is the Fremont shopping district. You could buy from Costco, Panda Express, or even Wendy's besides the overpriced food. For students or future students reading this, try to take all of your classes here! No need to walk all the way up the hill like the main campus. All of the classes are next to each other with lots of places to study or relax. Every now and then they hold events like a Career fair or UC/CSU workshops, those are very useful and I recommend attending those. There is nothing wrong with attending a community classes, classes are cheaper and you get to redeem yourself from any mistakes of the past.

She genuinely wanted every student to succeed. Each lecture, she shared insight from her professional experience, gave plenty of examples of how different scenarios would look in practice, and always welcomed discussions when something wasn't clear. During clinicals, she provided so much guidance and support, followed by thoughtful debriefs at the end of each day. She took the time to connect what we learned in theory to the real patients we worked with, which made everything make so much more sense. Miss Didi prepared me incredibly well for the state exam. I felt confident enough to take the written exam the day after graduating and the skills exam three days later, passing both with flying colors. Additionally, Mr. Dell and Dr. Marilyn were extremely supportive and checked in often to make sure we had what we needed throughout the program. I wanted to add that while MCC does not guarantee placement to a facility with their program, it is important to note that there are A LOT of opportunities for networking that Miss Didi and MCC offers. For my class, Miss Didi had several administrators and DSD's speak with us about their facilities, offering insight, applications, and contact information should you decide to apply. I just interviewed for my top choice facility and have been offered employment contingent on passed reference checks, background check and fingerprinting. I graduated from my program 8 days ago. You get what you put into the program, and being open to communication and learning will lead you to the start of a rewarding career. Overall, MCC made the whole experience feel worth it, and I feel truly set up for success moving forward.
