    Rib and brisket plate
    Fay L.

We just moved to this area and found this BBQ place. The brisket and ribs are tenders and the sauce was delicious. We really enjoyed the meals and will return for sure. Service and the ambiance was friendly. Overall experience was excellent and recommend for people who likes home cooking bba place.

Ohio Hog Company is Outstanding BBQ!! This is my family's go to. We love everything from the rib tips to the Mac n cheese. We have had several items from the menu. Pretty much everything tasted good.

This location is fairly new to the area but located in the popular Avenues shopping district. The inside was spotless and beautiful with KPop videos playing on the TV screens. My mom let me choose the menu, so we went with AYCE Option B. We tried the beef brisket, beef bulgogi, soy-marinated chicken, and onion & garlic marinated beef steak, and everything was high-quality cuts of meat. The flavors were great, and nothing tasted cheap or overly processed like you sometimes get with all-you-can-eat spots. Our waitress was incredibly nice and helpful. She actually tended the grill for us and made sure everything cooked perfectly, which made the experience much easier for my mom since it was her first time. They also change out the grill tops after each round of meat, which keeps everything clean and the flavors fresh. This is a great addition to the Peachtree City dining scene and definitely worth checking out. They even offer lunch specials in the $13-$15 range, which is a really good deal. The best part? My mom is already asking to go back, and she's usually not the most adventurous eater, so that says a lot.

AMBIANCE (4/5): Tons of indoor & outdoor patio seating, although it seemed like everyone pre-ordered or picked up to go. They have 2 long communal tables and a ton of 2-4 people tables. The wood tables make it look rustic, pop music playing so it's not awkwardly quiet. SERVICE (3/5): You order at the counter first, a single cashier, but it goes fairly quickly. Most of the staff is in the back kitchen. It's more "serve yourself". You grab your own drinks from the fridge, all utensils, napkins, and water are already on the table, and throw your own trash away, everything is in disposable containers. FOOD (4/5): $22 BUILD YOUR OWN BOWL: I personally didn't like the signature rice, I wanted the crispy rice fritters but they were sold out at 1:30pm on a Friday. The crispy Brussels were AMAZING! Definitely get this for a (+$2.50 upgrade). Bulgogi ribeye was sweet and delicious! Cashier offered a side of spicy Korean sauce which I didn't realize I'd be charged for, just wish she told me it was an additional cost (+$0.75). It doesn't need any extra sauce, the bowls are very saucy! And I'm a heavy sauce person. Also added a fried egg (+$2). The bowl was very delicious, minus the signature rice, I'd get all crispy Brussels next time! $4 BUTTERFLY TEA: very sweet, but good! $4 MINI COOKIES (4-PACK): I got 2 chocolate chip and 2 banana chip cookies. A little dry, but yummy. OVERALL (4/5): This is a FAST-CASUAL restaurant. They ask for automatic tip at the cashier, but you pretty much service yourself except when they bring out the food. I honestly wasn't expecting to spend this much for a quick lunch (total was $36), but I wanted to try everything. Now I know what I like and don't like here and excited to try some of the other bowl options! Definitely recommend this place! Very yummy!

It's always sad to me when this happens, because in my opinion having great food is the hard part. Seeing them excel in that but fail the easy stuff is hard :( What they struck out on: - host and hostess chatting when we walked up, they seemed to be complaining about something. We didn't receive any smiles. Didn't feel like they wanted to be there. Yes I understand it's a job, but warm welcomes are important and they are the first impression for a customer when they walk in. - It was 80 degrees and dreadfully humid outside since it had been raining. They had the doors open and I didn't see or feel any fans or air conditioning running. I saw a patron using a hand fan while we ate. - Since there was no air conditioning running, all the steam from the dishwashing and cooking in the kitchen came out to the dining area and lingered in the air the entire time we ate. We thought it was smoke at first but it didn't have a smell, when we walked out to leave I felt the steam leaving the kitchen area - Unbearably loud. I'm not sure why the acoustics are so bad but there is just nothing absorbing any noise. All the ruckus just echoes. Pretty sure this was mainly due to the tables being somewhat close together and the chairs having no sound buffers. It was suuuper loud when people got up to leave and when bussers were cleaning the tables. - Out of the fried green tomatoes which we were excited to order. - I ran out of water while eating. My drink didn't get filled until maybe 10-15 mins later. - Our waitress was running around, very busy. We didn't get checked on that much. It wasn't her fault. She was very courteous and was working hard. They seemed to not have enough staff on hand. - The napkins shed everywhere? When I opened my napkin a cloud of lint came up from it. It was all over my black shorts when we left. - Ends of the tables were all scratched up. - Decor is a bit of a hodgepodge. Having fake candles at each table for a place that gives southern farmhouse is an interesting choice. - The pimento cheese plate came with only 5 mini pieces of toast. We had to ask for more which was an upcharge. There's no way all the pimento cheese could be eaten on 5 pieces. Their home runs: - The food was amazing. I really liked the steak frites. I ordered the steak medium. It was nice and tender. The fries were seasoned and crispy. The chimichurri sauce was great. My friend and I both liked the pimento cheese and the bread that it came with. We weren't crazy about the house pickles. My friend loved her caesar salad. - The prices are great. Super affordable for high quality food. - Menu is expansive. - We had no wait to be seated. - No trouble parking. Location is convenient. As you can see, the list of cons is very very long. It was truly an odd thing to experience, since the place had such great food. I'm thinking the Curious Pig needs a restaurant management consultant or something? We might try this place again sometime later. We'll see.

I have been driving an hour from Jonesboro to L&L ever since it opened a couple of years ago. My fiancé and I would always get the BBQ chicken plate with extra chicken (we wanted to have leftovers to enjoy over the next couple of days) and if I was picking something up for my mom, she'd always get the combination plate. We'd also get the spam musubi. The food and its portion size was always top notch and very generous. The chicken, very tender and flavorful and since we always ordered extra chicken, that box would be heavy and the chicken filled the entire section of the box! We'd get our money's worth. The last two times we went, the first time, they were out of macaroni salad. Both times, the rice was undercooked and the "extra chicken" portion looked like a small or regular plate. I'm a rewards member and I love this place, and seeing reviews by others about the quality and quantity of the food over the past couple of months tells me that it wasn't just an "off" day when we went - it seems to be the "norm" now, which is disappointing. Has there been a change in management? There was a man who used to be there sitting at one of the tables and he was always very friendly, greeting customers and asking for feedback. I have not seen him there the last couple of times I've been there. If they are under new management, it would make sense that the quality/quantity has been disappointing as sometimes new owners try to save money by serving smaller portions while keeping the cost the same. But then it doesn't answer why the taste of the food wouldn't be the same.. I don't know what's going on over there. I crave that BBQ chicken, but don't want to waste 2 hours (round trip) to go there and get the same as what we've gotten the last two times. The owners know what's transpired over the past couple of months, so I feel that they know what they need to do to get back to the delicious food that L&L was known for because I don't know if there are new cooks there or if the employees are being told to skimp on the portion sizes, but SOMETHING needs to change to get back to what they were known for. I'm rooting for them because I'm craving the BBQ chicken now and I'd love to go there and give it another chance, but I'll wait until I see reviews coming in saying that things are back to the way they were before whatever changes happened..

The area where we were seated was a bit cramped, which made it difficult and awkward for our magnificent servers ( Stacy and Carlos) to serve. We ordered the calamari appetizer. Everyone at the y table loved it except me really enjoyed it. I like my squid a little less squishy... the sauce was nice, though. My entree, the crusted trout was simply magnificent. It was cooked perfectly! The crispness of the coating was just right as was the texture of the fish. The mushroom and dried red pepper yum y topping the fish was oh, so good! I could have used a little more of that. I wish that the fish had cone with a vegetable side. It came with rice (which had some very hard nots in it) , but nothing green. In order to get a vegetable, you have to order a side for two. They also don't let you substitute the side that comes with your dish for another. Ultimately, I went without. We had margarita, 5 o'clock somewhere, and a flight of mimosas. They were all quite good. We finished the meal with the carrot cake and fried apple pies. The apple pies are reminiscent of old school McDonald's fried pies. But the star of the show was the carrot cake. If you don't get this...I feel sorry for you. It is truly the best I EVER had. Moist, flavorful, fluffy cream cheese icing. It was perfect. I highly recommend this restaurant. They have done a great job and are determined to please you. First, I will say that I love the renovations and new decor. Reminds you of a lush 5-star steakhouse. Servers are still friendly and attentive. But the quality of the food served now is hit or miss. We started with the crab cake appetizer and it was delicious. We were a little disappointed that they were out of the kids' chicken tenders but they accommodated us by providing grilled chicken breast instead. We ordered the lobster ravioli and grilled halibut entrees. The lobster ravioli was pretty good. But after a few bites of the halibut filet.. I saw that it was undercooked! I mean almost raw in the center!! I was so disappointed! The dish tasted okay yet nothing to rave about. For a high-end restaurant this is unacceptable. When the server asked if I wanted a to-go box for my meal since everyone else had finished theirs, I showed him the raw fish and he apologized and said he was going to show it to the chef and took my plate away. A manager never came to our table to apologize, but we heard someone from the kitchen say to our waiter 'offer them a free dessert!' They did comp my entree without us asking for it and gave us free dessert. But after not being able to finish my meal and feeling sick that I had potentially eaten raw fish, I was done. Our waiter was very gracious about it and the other wait staff have been so nice to us over the years. It's just sad to see this place go down.
