Your health is always their concern. They always listen to your questions when you ask them. John had open heart surgery in January and Dr. K run the tests to make sure he was safe for the operation. He has been my cardiologist for many years as well. If doctor is not available he has a great staff of nurse practitioners that are knowledgeable and they can provide you with any need you have! The staff, beginning when you walk in the door are not only professional, but friendly as well. I have great confidence in my cardiology staff And their care for both John and I. Upon arrival at Ohio Heart the receptionist provides a warm, friendly greeting and checks patients in very quickly. Once finished with this initial process you go to the general waiting room to await the next phase of your scheduled appointment; the triage area. Here, you have your weigh-in, blood pressure and O2 levels taken, go over your medicines and briefly explain any changes in your health status, specifically heart issues. Then, patients are either shown back to the waiting room or in many cases, taken directly back to the patient rooms without any wait period at all. Even when you are taken back to the regular waiting room, the time you have to sit there is minimal during which time you can peruse an wide assortment of up-to-date magazines, browse through health related pamphlets or watch a big-screen television before being taken back to see Dr. Katapadi or more often, one of his Nurse Practitioners. If you are here for testing however, an Echocardiogram, Stress Test etc., a completely different procedure is followed. There is no triage performed. Patients are taken to a large, spacious waiting area with large, upholstered, comfortable lounge chairs and an even bigger flat screen TV. To have all these comforts of home in a doctor's waiting room seems atypical to the usual expectations of home in a doctor's waiting room, and the wait to see a tech to get you ready for your testing session, seems negligible. All the staff are friendly, personable and professional as they prep you for your procedure. So, if you should need the caring, supportive, friendly, professional care provided by good cardiology doctors, nurses, techs., and receptionists, Ohio Heart Group in Westerville is a good choice. read more

1:30 appointment. Finally got into an exam room at 2:50. After 3:00 before a doctor could be bothered to show up. It takes a certain amount of disdain for the general public to so blatantly disrespect a person's time. Please keep in mind, people, that you do not have a monopoly on cardiologists, and it would be very easy to go to a different office. Try to remember that next time you grossly overbook your schedule, you greedy monsters. read more

I would give no stars if I could! This is the absolute WORST group of doctors/personnel I've ever experienced. They WAY over book their appointments and leave their patients waiting HOURS some times. I see 3 other specialists and not a single one of them require their patients to wait almost EVERY SINGLE APPOINTMENT! I've had 4 appointments scheduled between the Westerville office and their Broad Street office. I've left 2 of the 4. Why? The first appt. on Broad St, I waited 90 minutes, a full waiting room with people sleeping, also complaining about waiting. I left. The second one, I waited about 35 minutes, was seen. The 3rd one, (and I told the scheduling person I couldn't wait an hour or more every time I came), I waited about 45 minutes to have a 15 minute EKG done. The last one, I waited over an hour to have a stress test done. The took the person before me, back 10 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment....so immediately I am going to be at least an hour and ten minutes late and then have an hour long stress test. I left. I had to go back to work. When I called to re-schedule, I spoke with a gentlemen named Olga. His advice when I told him I couldn't sit and wait an hour+ for an appointment...."well I would recommend you take the day off work"!! WHAT?!?! This is their advice/solution? I need to miss an entire day of work because they stack their patients so close together that they're ALWAYS LATE?!?! I'm not sure if they're just money hungry or they don't know how to perform a service. I understand, as all doctors, you can get behind but this place, TWO of their offices, you ALWAYS wait!! That's not an isolated incident, that's a common practice. Make your patients wait, have absolutely NO CARE or thought of their time and then the staff says, "Well that's just how we do things around here".......HORRIBLE! I'll be finding a new cardiologist who respects their patients not just planning on taking as much money in one day as they can!!!! read more
