STAY AWAY. Should have checked yelp before jumping. Hired them for move out cleaning. The owner threatened to call the police over a $80 dispute. Why? Because my mother and I questioned why we were charged an extra $80 for accepting help with two small boxes movers had left behind. The worker offered and she accepted, thinking it was part of the "aloha" spirit the company apparently has. Nope. Turns out it was for the upcharge and suddenly they're saying my mother asked for help and that the price was agreed to? Sketchy gaslighting, check. They took the charge off the bill but still leaves a bad taste in my mouth considering how they threatened to call the police, the apartment manager, and my rental manager and also did such a poor job with the windows that my mother had to ask them to wipe down the window sill during the walkthrough. I'm grateful that that request didn't result in a $50 surcharge. Update for clarity and accuracy. You'd think for $80, they took the box to our new place, her car, or even a few feet. Nope again. The worker moved the box from a countertop to my mother's trolley right below the counter. During the walkthrough she also pointed out that the cabinet doors had not been wiped down. The cleaners said that it was hard to get off, like it was grease or something. My mother could wipe off the stain with a wet finger. The cleaners then wiped the cabinet doors with a clorox wipe no problem. During walkthrough with the landlord and "did you pay for someone to clean? Can you get a refund?" Question came up multiple times (definitely a question I want to hear after paying someone $550 to clean) because the widows and screens weren't cleaned or even touched. Sure was billed for it though and the invoice says I paid for window cleaning. My mother and I had to go back and clean the windows, screens, counters, and floors to get our deposit.

This was leftover after the "deep clean"

He mentioned to me then that he does some home repair and renovation, so when i needed that done, i called him. I like that he is reliable, honest and fast. He also is a very good communicator. There were a couple of things that he isn't licensed to do and he was upfront and told me that i needed to hire a licensed person. I appreciate his honesty. The work he did turned out so nice. I am hoping to get more for the rental now. I highly recommend hiring Hideki for any of your handyman work! Thanks, Hideki!

Let's just skip to the important parts…read more 1: Communication - GREAT 2: Attitude - GREAT 3: Work - GREAT Finally - fantastic! I have worked with many handyman services and to be honest, most of them are good but not great. They do a decent job and sometimes they can't finish the job and then what? I have to finish it myself or hire someone else. Most of them don't return calls. You would be amazed how many don't return calls. I mean simple communication goes a long way. I didn't find Hideki, my wife did. I tried the usual Yelp searches and called a few. I filled out request forms and then never got a call back. One of them insisted that all I needed was a tool. Despite knowing the tool wouldn't work, I bought it anyway and of course the tool didn't work. In the meantime, my wife was talking to Hideki. He was a good communicator and he agreed to come by. I told him the job would be tough but he did it and he did GREAT. Now that I let you guys know about him, I hope he doesn't get so busy that he will be unavailable. But I have found the great handyman that we always knew existed but was so hard to find.

I highly recommend & will hire him again for another project.

Sorry but it's a long but worthwhile review. I really don't like giving bad reviews since it can…read morereally affect a business. But I felt I needed to in this case. I called Anytime Handyman to come out and replace 2 damaged doors and install 2 new doors. I sent a text message to let Tyler letting him know my lock box number since it's a rental and no one will be there to let him in. I gave explicit instructions as to which doors needed to replaced. (it was obvious because of the visible damages). He sent me the estimate, I agreed and paid for the doors so he could order it. They went back to the rental, and installed the new doors as planned. Here's the prolblem, they took off the wrong door (not damaged) and put the new door on. Leaving the damaged door still damaged. That's not the end of it, the latch was not installed properly, it had a hole and crack. As for the other door that they installed, there was also a problem, the strike plate and latch were off centered and wasn't closing properly. I called Tyler to tell him the wrong door was removed and replaced, and sent him a snap shot of the text I sent him when he went out for the estimate, explaining which doors needed to be replaced. His answer was, that's not how he interpreted it. Everything seemed to be wrong with the job. From the wrong door being replaced, to the damages to the door and the other door's latch not closing properly. He said not to worry and it's normal it's not a problem, just let him do his job. Now I'm no handyman but I do know how to install a lockset, and I've never seen a hole of that size, nor did I ever see a strike plate and latch installed at an angle. In Tyler's defense, he did say if I'm not happy he would give me a new door. But at this point, my trust with their quality of work has diminished. Not even a new door would make me continue to do business with them. I will take that loss, and stop all remaining repairs with this company. Update: I read the business owner's responses to my review. First of all, the "so called Painter's" was my daughter and son in law who came over the weekend to help paint the doors, only to find the damaged doors and discrepancies on the other door as well, including the wrong door that was removed. I would have no reason to damage these doors that I had already paid in Full upon completion on Weds. Lastly, it speaks volumes when a business owner would illegally break a homeowner's right of privacy and send photos to anyone requesting it, without prior authorization. I stand by my review.

The work Ron did was fine, but I would encourage you to proceed with caution. We learned after all…read morethis that Ron is neither licensed nor insured as a contractor in Hawaii. Ron came to check out our home office where we wanted barn doors installed and quoted "$1,000... maybe $1,500 max". Day 1 was removing trim and sanding / shaping drywall for rounded corners. Ron put up zero protection from the dust, creating the biggest mess I've ever seen... all over the furniture, rug, computers... every square inch was covered with sticky residue, so not just a simple dusting to clean it up (Pic 1), then drops of something or splatters of some kind were allowed to sit on our floors long enough that we're not sure the finish can be repaired. Pic 2 is after several attempts to restore. At the end of day 2 with the job unfinished (still needed primer, paint and to replace the baseboards he removed), Ron emailed me a bill for over $2,000. When questioned about the increase, Ron said, "The estimate I provided was a rough, verbal estimate given off the top of my head prior to full evaluation. Once work began and the full scope was uncovered, the actual time and materials required exceeded that initial estimate", even though mid-job he'd confirmed there was nothing unexpected or that would cause additional expense. When we discovered that the itemized supply prices were inflated by 30-50%, Ron said that was 'standard practice to cover sourcing, pick-up & transport', even though he'd also included his time to do so in his labor total. When it was all said and done, we paid more than he'd said would be max but less than the $2,000 he billed, we were left with an incomplete job and damage to our home, then although he left all the door trim & such he'd removed for us to deal with, he conveniently took the remainder of all supplies and everything usable to 'dispose of' himself, most importantly our baseboards that didn't belong to him and we now need to replace. I could go on and on about this but here's what I would suggest if you're thinking of hiring Ron or Triple R Services: -Get a written quote in advance worded to prevent any wriggle room or giant increases after the fact. -Insist upon protection of your property (containment) before any work is started. -Be sure you know exactly what he's taking with him when he leaves. -Do not pay the invoice until you're satisfied with all work / clean-up. Good luck!
